John did a fantastic job installing a beautiful, custom-made, and sturdy stainless steel chimney cap on a rooftop chimney of my multilevel 100-year old brick home. The old building construction and irregular chimney size did not faze him. He quickly assessed the situation, designed/ordered a custom-made cap, and soon after installed it. The home is now safe and looks more elevated and refined. Thank you very much John!

Both of your technicians, Ray and John were extremely helpful and helped me to understand our issue and matter of fact when they first came in without really doing anything, it worked right away, but then we discovered that there are other issues that have to be addressed, but I wish you guys to give them a race

Although I didn't end up using their service, John came out and was super professional, polite, and informative. I appreciate there. I appreciate his no pressure attitude and general sense of trying to be helpful no matter what the situation!

John was really great and very thorough at cleaning our chimney. He was also a great communicator in advance and after covering what he did. I was definitely impressed and would recommend him to clean anyone else's chimney.

The crew at AZ Chimney did an absolutely amazing job. They completely rehabbed the chimney in my home and did so in an extremely fast and professional manner. 100% would recommend them to anyone I know.

UPDATE:

After finally getting through via email I was able to speak with the company about my experience and they voided my invoice. Still a bit of a waste of everyone's time as it sounds like they put the wrong tech on the job, but happy to not be paying for a service that wasn't provided.

ORIGINAL POST:

Please do not use this company for gas fireplaces. They list this service on their website and will send a tech out, but they do not have the expertise to work on these systems.

I should have canceled as soon as the tech called to let me know he would be at our house in an hour when it was already an hour past our appointment window. It was another half hour past that.

When the tech arrived the first thing he said was "I hate gas fireplaces", that was the second time I should have just called it quits with the company. The tech did nothing to protect our floor and subsequently scratched our hardwood. He did not know anything about the fireplace and could not get it to light. The tech spent about half an hour on the phone, only to decide that there was an issue with our controller unit and "someone would follow up on it".

I was immediately contacted for payment via text and a call. I said I wanted to speak to a manager or the owner and was told I would receive a call back but never received one. After two weeks I was hoping they had talked to the tech and cancelled the charge, but am now getting daily texts to pay the invoice. Calls to the office go unanswered.

I was able to get another company to service the fire place. Issue was the pressure on our gas line and required the gas company to fix. This could have led to issues with all our appliances and should have been caught during the first check. Luckily I was able to find someone who knew what they were doing and was able to quickly get everything up and running safely.

We had great, fast work done by AZ chimney! They cleaned out our gas fireplace and got it in good working order, and fixed structural problems on our chimney. The guys were friendly and did good, efficient work. I highly recommend them!

Amazing experience. Ray was extremely professional in his work. He showed up exactly as expected, educated me on what he saw, quoted me right on the spot and performed the work well. I recieved before and after pictures showing exactly what was done. The work was very well. My chimneys were very dirty, preventing the furnaces from running well. Also there could have been a very unsafe situation. Ray took care of all that. I am ready for the fall heating season! Great job AZ Chimney services!

AZ Chimney came to my house gave me a quote on the fly and giving me an estimate of when he could do the project. I liked that they specialize on chimneys. The weather is colder and we got some rain. AZ was flexible and worked on my schedule - not their schedule. How unique to do what the customer wants! John came on site to quote side capstone replacements but he noticed I needed a chimney crown to preserve the chimney cage from falling. He matched the limestones perfectly inserted into the clapboard of the house and filled in the chimney cracks creating a new crown and it was good to go. All down on one day at a competitive price and gave me a 1 year warranty standing by its work. What else could you ask for? 5 out of 5.

We had chimney cap installed. John and the whole A Z Chimney crew were knowledgeable, polite and respectful. I felt comfortable trusting them to get the job done with quality materials. They were great with communication and worked around our schedule until the job was completed. I highly recommend A Z Chimney and will use them again for all my chimney maintenance in the future!
