Do NOT interact with this trash company. I placed my deposit with them and their communications all but disappeared. When prodded, they repeatedly promised they were working on other large projects and would start “next week”, but never showed. Complete scam artists, still never got my project complete eight months later. Avoid avoid AVOID

We have worked with Alan since we've purchased our home. Outside of being dependable they have risen above and beyond for last minute asks. Highly recommened from landscape maintenance to patio build and tree installation. Certain aspects of building the yard out were overwhelming to say the least but rest assured we were offered options to fit our budget as well as expertise in properly maintaining what we've created. Can't wait to expand further.

I would say Allen and his crew is the best!! they are extremely helpful, fast and efficient. Allen helped me plant 25+ trees for both my front and backyard . He is very knowledgable, we met at Mahoney, and he helped me choose the right type of trees to satisfy my needs, and also helped move all the tree to my house. Will definitely recommend him if you are looking for the landscaping pro. He will help me level yard and put in grass. cannot wait for it.

Alan and his team did a great job with our small backyard. He had great ideas while also listening to our preferences. He was accommodating of our requests, and he made sure the finished product looked good and was of good quality. For example, when he didn’t like the brackets that came with our fencing, he took the time to get another set that looked and worked better. His team was professional and hardworking- I’d recommend and will use Alan and his team again should we need them in the future.

We are 100% satisfied and beyond happy that we did all of our landscaping work with Allan. Allan's quote was the most competitive after shopping around for months. He is in high demand so we decided to wait a month or two instead of rushing and having someone else we did not feel confident work on our yard. We spent hours just staring at their work even before it was completed. It looks like an oasis :) :) :) His crew, just like him is very honest and hardworking. Allan's ideas made sure everything we did in our yard was suitable for our dogs who are a part of our family but also looked absolutely pretty. I think we raised the value of our house by a lot. Allan and I walked through a nursery so he could get an idea of plants that I liked, and then together we decided where they should go. He is full of ideas, but is totally open to you, the customer. He and his crew are pleasant and efficient; they transformed my backyard, and we're in process in the front. It's fun to work with Allan, and the results are great!

Extremely happy with the work Alan and his team did on our front and side yard. Alan was extremely responsive from initial engagement and worked with us on a very reasonable quote. His team did a complete rework of our yard in 2.5 days and it looks absolutely beautiful. Alan provided good guidance on what would work best, starting small and building up, and listened to what we wanted to see in the design. Cannot recommend this team highly enough!

We hired Alan and his team to clean up a mulch bed and level and reseed our lawn with a grass clover mix. His team was easy to communicate with, went above and beyond cleaning up our space, and most importantly to me had several recommendations and selections to meet my requests for a slightly more sustainable/environmentally friendly option for our small patch of land. We wouldn't hesitate to work with them again in the future and as the clover spouts I am so excited to watch it fill in my now flat lawn.

Alan had an extremely reasonable price and had the most experience. He answered all my questions with knowledge and grace. His goal was clearly to make my vision come true not to just do a job. He also has an extensive understanding of plants and trees that other landscapers lacked. Alan and his team are professional, personable, honest, and hard working. They were very detail oriented w my requests and made the project work better than expected. I would recommend Medford landscaping to anyone.

We had Allan plow and shovel our walkway after the blizzard. He did an amazing job for a reasonable price. Hope to hire him for other projects.

Allan and his team revamped my entire back yard with a new patio, cobblestones, plants, and sod. He and his crews did a fantastic job. I am really happy with the quality of work and it was at an affordable price. Allan was extremely responsive over text and email which made me feel like he cared and was invested in the project. It is clear that he is devoted to doing top of the line work. I have another project I would like to complete within a year's time and I will definitely hire his company again.

Working with Allan and his team was for sure the least stressful experience I have ever had with contractors/landscapers. The team at American Elm have taken care of our property in Somerville for years and do a great job! Their quality of work is excellent, they go above and beyond to assist in everything from landscaping projects to masonry/hardscaping. Pricing is super reasonable and Allan and team are always accommodating.

I have been working with Allan and his team on a variety of projects at my house. The first was in 2020 to completely overhaul and renovate our backyard. It came out beautiful. I hired him again to help with hedge trimming, hard scape walkway, and when Allan couldn't provide the service he knew someone who could. For example, we repaved our driveway as part of the hard scape project. He didn't do asphalt, but he organized a paving company and handled it all himself. I appreciated that to keep communication straightforward and direct.

What I appreciate most about Allan and his team is he has a lot of knowledge about plants, trees and horticulture in general. I work for a large environmental organization and much of Allan's knowledge tracks with what I hear horticulturists, arborists, and landscape architects discuss. He gives good advice on when to prune and how to prune, etc. other landscaping companies haven't been able to match that expectation and it's an important quality I seek out when hiring for landscape projects.

Many landscape projects can be accomplished by other landscape companies for sure. Especially if the work is just labor intensive.. like mowing, trimming, downing trees, etc. You will get the muscle from Allan but the value added is the knowledge and that is priceless these days in a world where everyone wants the cheapest price, but doesn't realize what invasive species your lawn is covered in or how to fill out the underside of a hedge.

Allan also stands by his work. A project we hired him for involved creating a seating area in our backyard. I decided to use pebble, which after a few seasons... well pebbles got everywhere. Allan offered and fixed the seating area by removing the pebble and installing a polymeric sand which fixed the problem. It was at no additional charge.

His team is also very courteous and hardworking. They have asked me clarifying questions when Allan was not on site and left the work areas clean and tided.

I will continue to utilize Allan's services and appreciate that I can rely on his company for our landscaping needs.

Allan and his crew are awesome! He’s helped us with various projects, including a fairly extensive backyard project of installing our large outdoor patio, creating a dog run in an u used yard space, choosing the right items for privacy, lots of planting of arborvitae and boxwoods and perennials. Allan also came through in a pinch when we were out of town during the first big storm this year! I was so grateful. Love this crew and will be reaching out to consult for spring soon!
