Bigelow’s is just terrific! I needed a tree within a week for a local land trust project. Nick at Bigelow’s picked out a beautiful willow for us and, sight unseen except for the photos he sent us, delivered and planted the perfect tree. Bigelow’s was great to work with and extremely responsive on a very tight schedule. We were delighted!

Generally great plants. When we went in early June most vegetables were gone. Offers Senior discount, which is a nice bonus.

Healthy plants and helpful staff. Much variety. We brought home a nice Staghorn Fern to hang from one of our trees and several succulents for our terrariums. There is a nice koi pond to entertain the children (I enjoyed it too). More expensive than going to big box stores, however the plants are well tended, not overfertilized, and will survive transplant. This is the place you want to buy your plants from.

Their only time to pick up larger plants in the summer is during the weekday 7-4 during business hours. They should have someone willing to move plants early mornings on the weekend for customers.

We stopped by right when it opened on the weekend to see if we could grab our plants, someone who knew how to use the bobcat was available but we were told the president doesn't want that associate off watering duty because of the heat.

If I knew it would be a hassle to get trees loaded I would have ordered online elsewhere to get them delivered instead.

Good selection of plants , but mainly landscape oriented it seems. Great prices on tomato plants. Some good roses in big rose selection too. Did I mention rows of trees for sale, good stuff!

I came in for blue cardinal flowers. There’s website shows stock in hand and NO NFS tag on it. Of course I drive in and was told they had none for sale. This is not the first time this has happened. I will never shop here again. Thanks for making me wast a trip out there. Should’ve called first but the inventtlist should have been correct

What a gem of a nursery with the most helpful staff! Skyler is such an asset to the Bigelow Nurseries team. I usually visit with a rough list of what I'd like to acquire for a certain project. Skyler always helps "weed" through my initial selections, offering advice on similar plants that might be more hardy or easier to care for longterm. This type of knowledge is absolutely indispensable for larger projects that require investments in trees and perennials. I feel really fortunate to have this nursery close by, especially with Skyler's trusted expertise.

They have some basic shrubs and annuals but nothing special; few pots, soil and the like. It's one of the only places besides big box store for some plants. I'd take a hike to Hopkinton or Wayland for better selection if you have the time. No cut flowers or decor. Too bad.

Check the houseplants for spidermites before you buy! Noticed right after purchasing when I walked out the door (into better light) that the undersides of the leaves were covered with them. Fortunately was able to return it then and there but had a friend mention that she also had mites on her plants she bought there last summer. Manager wasn't very apologetic either when she ran through the refund.

Ordered a bunch of large trees ($500 each) and they died in less than a year. Professionally planted and provided pictures. The sleasy salesman Nick lead me on a goose chase for a month “while he checked with his boss”. Then offered to give me new ones $100 off. No thanks, buyer beware stay away

Really helpful personnel and great plants

I visit Bigelow Nurseries each year for Memorial Day plantings at the family cemetery. The choices are many, and everything is so lush, beautiful and fairly priced. I always have a few questions, and the staff never fail to point me in the right direction to best meet my needs. I will continue to come every year!

This is a very expansive nursery and garden center. It is well organized with a large selections of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. The staff are very knowledgeable about the plants and their inventory. They have a large selection of native plants, shrubs and trees. This is a wonderful place and I would recommend it to all.

I have been searching for ideas on new plantings for my back yard. I called a number of nurseries and garden centers that are closer to where i live (Western MA)- everyone seemed either to busy to help me, or were struggling to find stock.
I called Bigelow and spoke to a nice gentlemen over the phone, he was extremely helpful and gave me great ideas for my yard. I came down to meet with him, he showed me around the entire nursery (100 acres, very large!!) and let me hand select each and every plant i wanted... I ended up spending over $2,000 and felt like i spent my money very well... every plant was guaranteed for a year!

Excellent garden center with incredibly knowledgeable staff. They have just about every plant you could want for your garden. Annuals, perennials, trees... they have it all. They also carry a lovely selection of ceramic pots as well as fertilizer/supplementation. Best place to go for your plants.

The layout of the property is well organized and simple to navigate, gardening supplies are abundant inside the store, instructional signs are interesting and educational and the staff is helpful, friendly and conscientious.
