Jaden came to the rescue once again! He went above and beyond to help us with our heating system issue and made the entire experience stress-free. He is incredibly patient, humble, and extremely knowledgeable. Jaden took the time. To thoroughly explain and walk us through the new thermostat system, making sure we were comfortable using it before he left. His professionalism and kindness truly set him apart. Highly recommend!

Eric came to my house for a routine maintenance service of the boiler. He reviewed the notes from previous service calls, answered my questions, recommended what to keep an eye on and did a thorough job. He’s a really nice guy who is very knowledgeable about boilers!

Another great experience with Sila. When our heater konked out in the middle of a brutal cold snap, the team was quick to respond and get things back up and running. They diagnosed and fixed the issue efficiently, got the most out of our warranty, and were always pleasant to work with throughout the process. Zane and Jaden were excellent — professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Highly recommend.

I scheduled a service call because my furnace stopped working. The technician (Matt.D) -came on February 9, focused almost immediately on vent pipes instead of diagnosing the actual cause of the failure. He placed a “DO NOT OPERATE / DANGER” sticker on the furnace, took photos, but did not shut the system down or provide written findings, test results, or photos of the alleged issue. He also stated we are free remove the sticker after he left.

Within minutes, the visit shifted to a full furnace replacement quote of $23,000. The discussion centered on financing options, interest rates, and payment plans rather than repair. When I questioned the cost, the price was reduced to $19,000 within a few minutes, with the technician saying he could “call and see what else he could do” to improve financing terms.

Repair options — including replacing the vent pipes — were dismissed - just because your furnase is old, he said . After it was clear we would not move forward with the replacement, we still paid for the service call, even though no repair was performed.

A second HVAC technician later identified the real issue: the blower motor was physically obstructed and easily fixed. The furnace itself was not the cause of the shutdown.

I was expecting a diagnostic service visit, not a sales presentation. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to a major replacement.

Easy online scheduling and when speaking with a representative to confirm the appointment details they were actually able to slot me in a few days sooner. Brian arrived on-time in the appointment window, quickly assessed the issue with my boiler, and got to work with the repair. Great communication and professionalism all around with Sila. I would definitely recommend them.

Roy did an outstanding job repairing and replacing old, leaking sewer lines in the basement of my 140 year old Boston house. The work required spending a lot of time in a very tight, uncomfortable crawl space, and he handled it with professionalism, patience, and care.

What really set Roy apart was how thoroughly he explained everything, like what the problem was, what needed to be done, and why, so I always felt informed and confident in the work being performed. The repairs were done carefully and correctly, and the results were excellent.

If you’re looking for a plumber who is knowledgeable, hardworking, and takes the time to communicate clearly, I highly recommend Roy. His assistant Randy was awesome too.

We've worked with Sila a few times, and been happy with their service and results. In a recent case, our heater broke during a snow storm. We called at 8pm with some urgency, and Sila had somebody at our house at 7am the next morning. Brian diagnosed the problem quickly (a pair of dead transformers), had the parts in his truck, and had everything working again within an hour. He came across as knowledgeable and friendly, was upfront with the cost, and took care to protect our floors/house. We'd happily call them again.

I was so appreciative that Sila was able to send someone over the same day I called. I wish they communicated better, though. They promised a call 30-45 minutes before his arrival, which I did not receive, 2 days in a row, even though it was much later than their original estimate.

I was having no luck finding a company that repairs oil furnaces and especially without a service contract. Finally I found Sila and figured I try them. Carissa, who answered my call, said they were pretty booked for today but she will see if she can do something no promises. Only a few hours later, Brian the technician called and was on his way! It was about 10 minutes until he determined the issue and had the part in stock. Once done, he offered me a yearly clean out which was much needed! The heat was up and running in no time! Even though I was a brand new client, they took care of me like I've been with them for years

I put in a request for an appointment last night around 10 PM and was honestly blown away by how quickly everything moved. I received a call at 7:20 AM to schedule the next day, then another call around 8:20 AM letting me know a technician was available sooner—and by 9:07 AM I had someone at my door. I was so happy with how quick and easy the entire scheduling process was.

I had the pleasure of working with Brian M from Sila and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable about different types of heating systems. From start to finish, he took the time to clearly explain everything and walk me through the process so I fully understood what was being done.

Mike Shai Came over to the house was super professional and on time. Which was extremely important to us. He did quick work and was very respectful.

During this horrible last storm we lost hot water and the heat wasn’t 100 percent. We called Sila and they sent us the “magical” Roy who determined our vents were blocked. The snow was so high he couldn’t get behind the condo to clear it. At that point he crawled out my bedroom window to access the vents. After clearing the vents and some work on the water heater in the basement we were back in business in short order! Not only did Roy help us out, he had to do the exact same thing for our neighbor (attached condo) double the fun for poor Roy!

Our heat went out in the middle of the night during a major snowstorm. Another company quoted us $3,500, said we needed a new circuit board, and told us we’d be without heat for three weeks.

To be safe, we got a second opinion from Sila, and we’re so glad we did. Brian came out and had our heat working again in about 10 minutes with a simple system reboot.

We needed our water heater replaced we shopped around, we called the big name Companies but none of them would come to our house right away. We then came across Sila Plumbing, Electrical and Boy we are so glad we did. Josh J from came over, looked at what the situation was. Josh explained to my Wife and I what needed to be done step by step, he did not rush, he made sure we understood that the job would require bringing the whole set up of our plumbing and piping up to code. We must have asked dozens of questions and he answered them all calmly and professionally. We are so thankful and appreciative.
