I am very impressed with the heater repair service I received. My heater stopped working during the coldest days in Waban, and they were able to send someone out within 48 hours! I was worried they would tell me my heater was too old to fix and try to get me to buy a new system, but that didn't happen. Barry quickly found the problem, which was a faulty part, and was able to repair my old heater the same day for a fair price. I’m very happy with Barry’s work—he arrived on time, was professional, and friendly. After fixing the heater, he also checked my furnace and noticed a small leak, suggesting I get it serviced before using it again. He never pressured me into buying a new unit. When I need more work done, I will definitely call them again.

We compared several companies and decided to go with Champion Heating & Air Conditioning. It was a great decision. Barry explained all the options for replacing our old AC unit and heater. After my downstairs 5-ton air conditioning unit stopped working and needed to be replaced, I also noticed the downstairs of my house was cooling unevenly—one side would get very cold while the other stayed warm. Upstairs, which has a separate HVAC unit, was also struggling to cool the area, even though the system would run for hours without much improvement. Nathaniel from Champion Heating & Air Conditioning came over and did a very thorough inspection. He checked both the downstairs and the attic spaces, taking the time to look at every detail. I appreciated his patience and careful attention to the issues. Nathaniel clearly explained that the main cause of my problems was the ductwork—he showed me diagrams of both the current setup and his proposed changes, which really helped me understand how his solution would fix the uneven cooling downstairs and improve the performance upstairs. As an engineer myself, I had a lot of technical questions, and Nathaniel made two visits to my home to walk me through everything. He spent several hours over a couple of days making sure I understood the process and felt comfortable with the plan. His approach really earned my trust. Before deciding, I had six or seven other HVAC contractors come out to give me quotes, including the one who had originally installed the AC and ductwork. Some didn’t even bother going into the attic before giving me their estimate, while others went up there but didn’t take the time to really understand the problem or explain their recommendations. None of them gave me the confidence that their solutions would actually fix the cooling issues. The price for the new AC unit from Champion Heating & Air Conditioning was very competitive, and while the cost for the ductwork couldn’t really be compared (since no other contractor offered such a detailed solution), I felt it was reasonable given the amount and quality of work involved. That’s why I chose them for the job. Nathaniel and his team arrived on time and were professional, courteous, and very hardworking. The project took three days because the ductwork was extensive and the attic space was tight, but they managed to finish everything without causing any damage to my home. Every day, they made sure to clean up both inside and in the garage. Once the work was done, Nathaniel and I went through a checklist together to make sure everything was completed as planned. It’s still early, but so far, everything is working exactly as expected. The downstairs now cools evenly throughout the entire area, and the upstairs is much more comfortable. This has been my best experience ever with any contractor working on my home. The team did an outstanding job, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC services.
We had a problem with our furnace, which was actually caused by the manufacturer, not the repair company. Every time we called, they sent someone out right away and worked very hard to fix the furnace issue. We are really glad we chose this company, because they handled everything in a very professional and honest way.
