Constraction reviews in Wakefield, Massachusetts

We hired Mendez Painters to do interior painting on our first floor of our home. Florentin, Julio, and team did an amazing job and we’re very happy with the results. We learned about Mendez from some of our neighbors in Melrose. After I called, Florentin came by same day for an estimate at a reasonable price, I received a written quote through email, then we booked the job for the next week. The job took four days, where the team did two days of prep and two days of detailed painting of walls, trim, ceilings, doors, built-in cabinets, banisters and balustrades, and windows. They covered all of our floors and furniture, even created a dust wall when they sandblasted our mudroom that had years of paint on the wainscoting. Florentin and Julio were easy to work with, honest, great with communication (email, text, and in person), sought out and were receptive to feedback, and listened to our needs. They used high quality Benjamin Moore Regal Select paints and made sure the job was finished on time and with the same team throughout. We recommend Mendez Painters for interior residential painting.

Highly recommend Florentino and his team! Used top quality materials and paid attention to details. He listened to and followed all our requests. Thank you for all your hard work!

Florentin and his team recently scraped, skim coated, primed, and painted a peeling plaster ceiling in my house, and I’m very happy with the result. I was concerned about dust with young children in the house and Florentin made sure the bedroom was completely sealed off during the few days work was happening and left the room spotless.

I would recommend Mendez Painting to anyone looking for clear communication, promptness, and high quality work at a reasonable price.

Mendez Painting!

They did such an excellent job painting my home. The house had not been professionally painted in over 10 years. They offered to fix a few spots that were rotting, painted railings and doors, and painted our shed as for a small additional fee to the original quote. Florentin was very responsive to questions and helpful. Thank you for making our home look so great!

Everything looks fantastic and we are very pleased with the results have been done for our house!! Recommend to anyone needs this best painters!!

Great job by Mendez Painters on our historic home in Salem. There's a lot to paint, including shutters and detached garage and the Mendez team got that done in a quality and timely manner. I appreciated that they stayed on the job start to finish, used quality paint products, and did a thorough job including minor repairs of old wood. Thank you!

Highly recommend the great crew at Mendez painting.
Excellent job on all phases of the process: scraping, sanding, power washing, caulking and painting.
They are hard working and have a great attention to detail. Price was very competitive.

Florentin & his crew did amazing work! Painted our garage quickly & were able to come within 2 weeks at a great rate. Su[er nice and personable too. Would highly recommend!

Florentine and his crew did an excellent job finishing our house after a not so good experience with a different contractor. We finally feel completed and very happy. His price was very reasonable and the quality of the workmanship exemplary . The crew was respectful and very neat.

I had a great experience with Mendez Painters. I hired them to paint a room in my house that was covered in old glossy wood paneling, with lots of ridges and texture. They used an oil based primer so that the paint would properly adhere to the surface, and it came out fantastic - it looks like a whole new room! The pricing was competitive compared to others that I spoke with, with no sacrifice at all in quality. Both brothers were kind, efficient, hardworking, and communicative. They were punctual and got the job done quickly. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a painter.

We recently had our home painted by Florentino and his team, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and had great attention to detail. You can truly tell they take pride in their work. Thank you for doing such an outstanding job!

Florentino and his crew were fast, reliant, efficient and skilled. In just three days they transformed an entire floor of our house, painting ceilings, walls, trim, doors and windows. The also provided considerable carpentry, including removing old ethernet ports and patching over them. Highly recommended.

Mendez Painters did a great job painting a interior room and exterior doors. The prep work and painting were great. They were efficient and hardworking. The outcome looks great, and they are highly recommended.

Mendez Painters did a great job on the exterior of our house at a great price. Florintin was quick to reply during the entire process, even when I wasn't prompt to respond. Florintin is very nice guy, highly recommend.

Mendez Painters get the job done quickly and professionally. Their team worked closely with us to make our home beautiful and exactly as we want it. From scrapping and preparation to full execution (primer and paint) these guys are completely pro! Highly highly recommend from the city of Melrose.

Mendez Painters did an excellent job painting the exterior of our home. Florentine has a skilled, hard working and professional crew working with him. We are happy with the quality results.

Florentin and his crew did a great job painting my house. I am so happy with the results. Professional, detail oriented, and very efficient. The prep work and actual painting was outstanding. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Mendez painting was great!! Quick response to my request for an estimate. Crew was friendly, very well organized, coordinated and cleaned up each day. I took pictures of wood that needed to be replaced, and all was repaired. They scrapped like crazy before they started painting. They used high quality paint and the job came out amazing. We live in a historic house built in 1900 and they took great care in their work. They were by far the best price. Small business owner with a fair price. I have a sign in my front yard and will be happy to refer anybody to Mendez painting. I plan on calling on them for their carpentry work in the future.

Thank you Florentin and crew!

Well done Mendez Painting!!!

CONS: day to day job site cleanliness could have been better (I would spend some time each evening picking up water bottles, tape, wrappers, nails etc). Our plants/flowers etc around the house got trampled pretty badly by the their ladders/feet so would’ve appreciated more care there. A formal estimation process is needed - though owner is responsive via email/text.

PROS: services (painting/carpentry) priced competitively and lead time was best of any company who quoted us. Crew arrived promptly and very early in the morning each day and worked long days. The foreman (Julio, owners brother) was engaging and asked us questions throughout the process. Overall we were happy with the outcome and pleased that we went with Mendez Painters Inc.

I highly recommend Florentino and his Mendez Painters, for exterior painting of house. He offered me the best price of several quotes for my house in Quincy, and he and his crew does superb, professional work, very hard steady workers. They keep the area clean at the end of every day, and left my house looking fantastic, exactly the way I wanted it. Several people have complemented me on the new paint job.

The team provided a competitive quote for the sanding and painting of the exterior of my house in Swampscott. My house suffered from years of English Ivy growth. After we hired a company to remove it, there were millions of "suckers" stuck to our wood siding. Florentin and his team sanded everything down extremely well, prepped, primed and painted the house. They also made sure any rotted wood was taken out and patched up. I would highly recommend this company for any painting jobs in Swampscott, Marblehead, Lynnfield, Peabody and the surrounding area. Very professional and COVID-19 friendly.
