Mike was absolutely fantastic! I have an extremely old radiator that stopped working. Mike disassembled it and determined that the blower motor had seized up. I couldn’t believe it, but he looked at the internal tag and realized that he personally knew the man who installed it over 25 years ago. So, Mike got on the phone and arranged to have this same man repair the blower. This type of blower motor isn’t even manufactured anymore, so I’m so lucky Mike got to the bottom of it. Thanks Mike, so glad we called your company!!

Boston Standard was a great company to work with. From the initial call to execution, we had a very positive experience. Antoine came out to help us assess options and Carlos V was extremely professional and experienced In the installation of our new boiler.

Do not get pulled in by their offers. Pro: good availability and will get job done. Con: total rip off.

Had them come out to look at a garbage disposal leak. They said it was not properly installed (no putty) and they’d have to reinstall it. So, to reinstall an existing garbage disposal (ie not new install) and not a rush job it was $584.56. This would be like a $150-$250 max from another plumbing company. Live and learn. Don’t use these guys unless absolute emergency.

This is a tier 1 company. Very efficient and thorough team members. I’ve now worked with them on multiple occasions and I will continue to go back for any future boiler needs. Quick diagnosis, quick fix, and great communication throughout the process. The extra charge for a Sunday visit was worth every penny.

I just had my water heater replaced. Connor and his assistant were both very professional, efficient , and informative. They answered all my questions very thoroughly. Good company to do business with, and a fair price compared to the last time it needed replacement by another company.

Last week our boiler died- right before Christmas. One Boston Standard team came the next morning to assess the situation on December 23 and give us options. We decided on a new boiler. Alex and Kenny showed up the next day - Christmas Eve at 7:30 am! - and again on December 26th, working hard and carefully to clean out the old, messy boiler and install a pristine new one. They were thorough, helpful and extremely pleasant to work with. They cared about every aspect of the installation being done well, and we've been delighted with the result.

Cody was very helpful and made me realize I placed the filter in backward. He was full of information. Nice young man. The nstallation of our new hvac system went smoothly and the crew led by Carlos was amazing and very thoughtful. They even cleaned up! I couldn’t be happier!! Thank you!!

After trying a few other companies for a repair issue, we were referred to Boston Standard by a neighbor and the service experience with Brian Mason was exceptional; his professionalism, diagnostic expertise, recommendation and response time.
Our repair required a few visits which was managed in a timely and efficient manner.
The company provides a multitude of photos, diagnostic reports and pricing options after each visit so the entire process is transparent and clearly explained to the customer. And they were always pleasant and nice to us.
I highly recommend requesting Brian Mason for any diagnostic issues as we will do going forward. We’ll also be signing our annual service contract with them.
As my neighbor observed, they’re on their game.

We had an HVAC system installed that included an air handler with an outdoor heat pump and two indoor heads connected to a mini split heat pump. Initially, one of the indoor heads didn’t function properly, but the technician quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced it with a compatible unit. After that, the entire mini split system worked flawlessly.

The technician was thorough and professional, ensuring the whole setup was operational before wrapping up. We really appreciate the effort and attention to detail.

One small suggestion: if a cap were placed in the air handler’s open hole to prevent potential water leaks, the installation would be absolutely perfect. Overall, very satisfied with the service and outcome.

Part 2: nov 14, 2025- Mike K is wonderful! Stopped in today to install a ball valve shut off for our downstairs intake. Not only was he efficient and so helpful in explaining all the necessary steps, but he was so kind! And our dog has yet another bestie from the plumbing crew. Boston Standard truly hires the best of the best. Thank you, yet again for incredible work and incredible people!

Anthony came to our house to help us with confusion with our new Mitsubishi mini splits. He explained the best way to use them in the winter, corrected their location settings, reset them to better use the Mitsubishi app, and made sure that we understood how to best use them alongside our gas fired boiler. He checked the programming of our thermostat and made us comfortable with the whole way that our systems would work together. We are very happy with his service.

They installed a boiler for me about five years ago and have provided really excellent customer service since then. Just today, Mike and Yan came by to take care of a small problem. They explained the situation and exactly what they were doing to the boiler. Super helpful!

Great team. Leo offered great advice. Carlos and Alex stayed very late to complete the installation. Anthony diagnosed and fixed a small problem with the system. Highly recommend Boston Standard.

Kevin was a knowledgeable technician. He had a professional manner. He took care to protect my floors and to clean up after himself. Kevin was pleasant and I would not hesitate to use Boston Standard in the future.

I had a very disappointing experience with this business. I was quoted $4,000 for the service, which immediately felt excessive. To be safe, I got a second opinion elsewhere and was quoted $200 for the same issue.

That kind of price difference is unacceptable and feels misleading at best. I’m glad I didn’t move forward before checking with another professional. I would strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before trusting this business.

Carlos V and Alex A were so great! Replaced our whole heating system, organized everything neatly, put our stuff back in the closet when they were done, and cleaned up everything. Michael M was also amazing and diagnosed the exact issue for them a couple days before when he came by. Glad my landlord uses them and I definitely would if I owned in Boston!
