I scheduled a dryer vent cleaning and they happened to show up the day after some nasty snow / ice mixture fell. Special thanks to Alan and his crew. His truck arrived as I was clearing the driveway, and in addition to the vent cleaning, they helped me clear the ice and snow for no extra charge.

This is my second year using the service the job was done. Well they removed the leaves in a bag easy to Disposal. I only problem was the lateness of actually removing them in January as opposed to December, but I guess the weather has a lot to do with that I am definitely staying with them for the future.

I had a need for a one time clean before closing on my house. They accommodated me quickly. Their team was here within a week and tge guys were friendly and the cleanup was perfect. Hard to make it look so good with constant falling of leaves. But even a few days later my house looks great!

I worked with Ryan Wikman, landscape designer and owner of Chestnut Grove Design Group, this fall to remodel my backyard. The issue was a 2-tiered garden with a grassy slope just past a retaining wall, too steep to comfortably reach the upper level. Ryan came with recommendations from my real estate agent and when we met and talked about my ideas - turning the slope into beds filled with small shrubs and perennials and installing organic-looking steps to lead up to the upper part of my garden - he immediately 'got' what I was looking for. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful, and over the course of multiple drafts, we quickly came to agree on the final version. I had a vision of what I wanted everything to look like but knew that I could trust Ryan's expertise and therefore heavily relied on him, especially when it came to selecting plant material that would grow best in my garden's microclimate. That being said, Ryan was always sure to ask me for my preferences and thoughts on everything along the way. It was important to me to work with someone I could connect with and Ryan and his team wonderfully fit the bill. Everyone was experienced, paid attention to the tiniest of details, and was very friendly and conscientious - there was never a loud word, blaring music or carelessness. Now that the project is complete, I could not be any happier! My garden looks truly amazing: I can say that Ryan and his team of dedicated and hardworking men and women completely transformed my backyard, and it is even more beautiful than I envisioned it. I can't wait to see everything come to live again in the spring! We already discussed a second project for next year!

His team leveled our sloped yard, extended our outdoor living space by cutting into a hillside, built a beautiful patio, and rebuilt an aging retaining wall. They even installed large cisterns to handle lawn drainage issues, then wrapped it all up with thoughtful plantings, fencing around the property, and a host of finishing touches.

My wife and I built a new house in the Boston area and interviewed several landscape architects before selecting Chestnut Grove Design Group. We have been very pleased with our choice! Aside from Ryan's knowledge and experience with landscaping projects, we think the most important aspect of his service is that he has the ability to understand the client's preferences while continually pointing out alternatives that either validate that understanding, or educate the client toward an even better preference.

This was a reasonably complex job involving a half acre lot with topography changes to level out areas in the front and back yards, extensive retaining walls, multiple sets of steps/railings, plants, lots of fence, a new lawn, pavers, conservation of some 100+ year old pine trees, a flagstone patio, a fire pit, an arbor, an irrigation system, a de-icing system for the front walkway, and laying the wires for future landscape lighting to be completed by the owner. Ryan coordinated his subcontractors with the builder of the house and the builder's subcontractors, including several instances where various scheduling complications arose, and successfully implemented our agreed landscape plan. Note that this all took place during the pandemic when there were supply chain issues and most subcontractors were overbooked with new work. Ryan was a pleasure to work with during the entire process---never flustered, never upset, and never rushed. We think of Ryan as a friend and neighbor now and have no reservations recommending Chestnut Grove Design Group.

Working with Chestnut Grove was a huge help. Our previous deck was outdated so we decided to upgrade it and also make it much larger. Ryan walked us through all the different options we can consider (design, materials, contractors, etc), and constantly stayed on top of the project. We decided to use Ipe wood, which we are really happy with. Ryan is knowledgeable and extremely focused on serving well his customers.
