Modern Energy did a wonderful job installing our mini splits as well as maintaining them as needed. Will came to clean our system and was incredibly helpful and kind. Easy to work with and did great work cleaning them up. Highly reccomend!

So this was a difficult review to make . I wanted to start out with a shout out to my sales rep Daniel Butey. It took a lot of patience with me as it took several weeks of constant questions on my behalf to finally put me at ease to move forward with mini splits. No matter what day or time or even a holiday he still reached out to voice my concerns and will always respect that from him . Even after the install he still was there for me answering my calls/texts then simply disappearing after a sale is complete .
As far as the Fujitsu mini splits go that’s where things get a bit shaky . When it’s below 40 degrees outside I notice the wall thermostat would always be a few degrees from what my temperature was set . (Attach photos ) and when it’s over 40 degrees it’s spot on with temperature.
As far as the mini split itself goes well the one in the living room is 100% quiet. The one in my main bedroom would snap /pop sound 24/7 ( plastic housing from expanding /contracting). Imagine trying to fall asleep and your seconds away from it and bam a loud pop or two happens and just like that you’re attempting to try to fall asleep again!! I would say that is far my biggest disappointment of these mini splits . The third mini split has a mild rattle when it’s on low. Modern Energy did come out over my concerns but as expected there is really nothing one can do about it . So I’m trying to share to those who are interested to be aware of those risks that may or may not happen. As far as the questionable cost to heat home vs propane heat which is my case it was $50 more to heat the home with today’s rates and no solar . Ignore there online chart that will be presented on sales pitch that says heat pumps are way cheaper then propane as it was calculated that I would save $200 yearly . I can’t vouch for natural gas or oil

Today 5/7/25 I had my first maintenance service appointment for my mini splits heating and cooling system, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Will did an outstanding job—he was punctual, professional, and very thorough. He explained everything clearly and made sure the system was running efficiently by the time he left. It’s a blessing to have someone so knowledgeable and trustworthy working on something so important in my home. Thank you, Will—may blessings continue to follow you in all that you do! It was such a pleasure to have been able to meet you! He really deserves a raise or minimum a bonus for making the company look so good!

Really happy with my heat pump install thanks to Brandon C. He made sure to patch every hole so no critters got in, was very thorough, showed us how to take care of the equipment and was overall very respectful of my home.

Outstanding Experience with Modern Energy

Modern Energy installed my mini split system and I couldn’t be more satisfied. They guided me through the Mass Save program and provided thoughtful, creative solutions to keep the installation clean and in line with my home’s design.

The system, installed in February 2025, has performed flawlessly. The AC is working even better than expected, and thanks to my solar setup, I’ve had little to no electric bill — a great bonus.

Andrew came to my home and explained the heat pump system and how it works. He went through the house and came up with a Mitsubishi mini split system that was tailored to my home. A great start and now the work. The crew of Tito, Matt, JV and Jimmy were outstanding working on a 72 year old home. My nervousness turned to confidence as I watched the result unfold. Just an amazing crew!!. They did have a few issues with my old home but they brought in other people to make sure that the install was done correctly. Now the fact of my old home also means an old electrical service. Alex and Joe the electricians brought me into the modern world and the work they did can only be described as OMG!! I now have 200 amp service and the care that all the install team showed to me and my home...let's say I'm truly grateful...Thank you Modern Energy!! Also I did have one small issue that Tito came back and took care of with no fuss...Even the first service great!!!

Will gave me an in depth tutorial on how the mini-split cleaning works, how I can help maintain my own units, and what to look out for. He was very thorough and professional!

Modern Energy has been so easy to work with from the beginning to end. I worked with Cesar from Sales. The installing crew were courteous. They made sure to clean up any mess they made . Jimmy, JV, Will and Nick thank you all for the great service.

I used Modern Energy to have blown-in insulation installed in my 3 family rental property and couldn't be happier. They were very thorough installing insulation in all exterior walls and all areas of the basement. They came out during a cold snow day and were able to perform the job flawlessly and impressively didn't crack a single piece of vinyl in the cold temperatures during the removal or reinstalling process. They were very considerate of the tenants and cleaned up afterwards. Would use them again and very please with the results! Thanks for the great work.

We had Modern Energy install a mini split system last January and are very pleased with every aspect of the project. Today Modern Energy sent their technician Will for a follow up cleaning and maintenance check. Will was very professional and thorough. Recently had mini splits installed at the house. The entire experience was fantastic. Ryan (sales rep) was very knowledgeable and prompt to answer any questions or concerns. Jimmy, JV Nick and Chris (installers) we're very professional, polite, and considerate of the property. They tried not to disturb anything at the house and when they needed to, they cleaned up and put everything back. We ran into a few hiccups on the first day of install, but the team was quick to inform me and had suggestions on mitigations right away. Even with the changes the team finished on time and did high quality work. Very happy with the experience and would recommend them to anyone.

I MUST rate both my Purchase and Installation experience with Modern Energy - 5 STARS!!!

My 20-year-old Fujitsu Mini-Split Air Conditioner was a big old 22,000 BTU relic, the size of a commercial unit that was surface mounted on the ceiling in a large L-shaped room above my garage, for years it worked awesome. Unfortunately, it finally reached its end-of-life and needed to be replaced

The Sale and Purchase Experience:

I have a challenging space because of slanted ceilings and baseboard heating, I have very little wall or floor space, and it is an L-shaped room. The optimum solution would be to replace it with another ceiling unit; however, they no longer make a surface mount model like the unit I was replacing (BTW, my new flush mount ceiling cassette is hardly visible, and it looks great).

I received a quote from another company that installed and services my other existing Mitsubishi Mini-Splits in my downstairs living area – the quote about gave me a heart attack! Not to mention the quality of the work they have performed for me has been mostly substandard and overly frustrating. The quote was so high I was seriously considering just putting in window units, which are loud, less efficient, and much more inconvenient - I just could not justify the quote they gave me.

I then reached out to Modern Energy, and from the start my experience with Ryan was like a breath of fresh air. Instead of quoting me what the other company proposed, two floor units that would circulate air around the short section of each L in the room (i.e. not very efficient or cost effective), Ryan quoted me a one-way ceiling cassette that mounts flush in the ceiling and pushes the air across the length of the room (same as my old unit that worked awesome), at a much more reasonable cost compared to the quote from the other company. BTW, the other company did mention ceiling cassettes; however, they said because of the installation labor, it would be more expensive than their quote for floor units (that’s right – more expensive than the quote that almost gave me a heart attack!).

After doing my research, I signed the Modern Energy quote, and an installation date was set.

The Installation Experience:

The Modern Energy installation team arrived on-time, on-schedule, and they performed a professional installation that looks awesome and works great! Now it doesn’t always go perfectly smooth, and there were a couple hiccups, but they were both solved perfectly and without any hassle or aggravation on my part.

Here’s to hoping my ongoing experience with Modern Energy is equally satisfying and professional. Based on my purchase and installation experience, I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend Modern Energy to my family and friends.

Recently, I had done the installations of five mini splits in my house. I am very, very happy about everything Cesar, the salesman that took care of my needs, he’s bilingual and did a very good job helping and understanding me. The splits works very good. I love the result. I am saving money in my electric bill definitely and, I highly recommend it. It was a wonderful experience with the crew too, and they installed Mitsubishi equipment, the splits Mitsubishi compressor. another person that came to my house especialices in this matter said, that I have the best one in the market, that those matchings are the best one in the market, so I’m very happy about that , I’m saving money in my electric bill plus , well confortable at home, thanks.

It’s hard to find companies with employees who care about the quality of their work but this crew certainly does.

Thoroughly professional! Showed up when they said they would, finished when they said they would. System seems to be working well, and they cleaned up completely. Will, from Modern Energy, came to do a routine service call on our mini splits and brought to our attention that the inside coils were dirty. We decided "Preventive Maintenance" was a good idea.

He carefully wrapped plastic around the unit so when spraying the coils the water did not splash all over the place. You cannot believe just how dirty the water was from ONE mini split !!

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service!
