We live at the top of a nasty hill and have nothing but good to say about Knapp Valley's plow service!!! Last year they came several times on the same day due to high amounts of snow...friends that live in a similar neighborhood got plowed once...later in the day!!!
If the past few days are any indication of what this winter will be like, I'm really glad they're taking care of our neighborhood roads/drives again this year!!!!!!!!

We've been ordering the spring clean-up with mulch. Four--five people show up, clean and edge the beds then lay the mulch. They get done in one morning what it would take us all summer to do.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are truly customer service focused and go the extra mile. Recently I picked up mulch late in the day. I needed more but I knew I couldn't get back there before they closed. I called and explained my dilemma and they stayed open for a few minutes longer for me.

The Knapp Valley group designed and landscaped our backyard - They did a wonderful job and we would strongly recommend them. We love our space!

Ron at Knapp Valley Gardens went above and beyond to help during a very difficult time. I live in Tucson and my twin sister lives in Ada. Tomorrow is our 60th birthday and we can't celebrate together. I have seen her in over a year. I wanted us to both plant a tree that will grow as our lives will continue to grow. Ron had a perfect pine tree that will grow 30-40 feet, but he is delivering it in a decorative container to her tomorrow (our birthday) with a note. I called several other garden centers. I was a bit emotional and crying. All of them didn't have the time or empathy to help me For a guy, Ron did an excellent job handling my tears and assuring me that my twin sister will get her forever tree.

I enjoy working with Knapp Valley Gardens. On a regular basis they are responsive to my needs that seem to come up within a short needed time frame. My yard has not looked better with Knapp Valley's seasonal care.

Great place to get ideas and shop for plants and outdoor equipment. We buy mulch here yearly and my wife has had quite a bit of good advice from the staff as to planting and garden styles. Hours are good and easy to get into and out of with a truck and trailer.

We have worked with Ken and Knapp Valley Gardens for a few years. They had previously completed the Landscaping and Patio at out home before we purchased it. They have since put in a Fire Pit and also some additional Landscaping. We also use them to maintain our Flower Beds. Everything looks great. Highly recommend them.

I used Mike and his team when I built my home 13 years ago and they did a fantastic job. Mike had tons of ideas and we used almost all of them. We loved his creativity. Then 5 years ago we build a separate Man Cave on 2 acres near our home and again same results. They also maintain that property during the summer months. We did another smaller project on that same property last year, same results (see a theme here). Mike is fair ($$$) and so easy to work with. I would not go anywhere else. This was our first project with Knapp Garden's and working with Ashley was a great experience! Our patio and landscaping looks better than we even imagined. As a builder I have used Knapp Valley for many of my homes. They are very professional, creative and work closely with my new home owners to help them get exactly the look they want. Having Knapp Valley as our landscaper insures that our homes have great curb appeal, our home owners are happy, and helps us to attract new buyers. I would highly recommend them to anyone except my competition.

Twelve years ago we used Knapp Valley Gardens to landscape our yard when we built our house. They did a great job then so this past summer when we put our pool in we had Mike and his team come back. I have been doing business with Knapp Valley for 4 years, since we moved here, and every experience has been positive. I have gotten mulch, large stone, small stone, perennials, annuals, fertilizer, etc. If there is a problem, they fix it, and we have had few. The people are helpful and friendly. Their delivery people are good and on time. They are just good people to work with

As a gardening business, I have consulted with Ron at Knapp Valley countless times over the years. He is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to any and and all plants that they carry. He always made my job easier and offered great ideas when I was struggling with a design. There is no one I would recommend more for a consultation, garden design or any plant and/or hardscape purchase than Ron. I was very bummed to move too far away from Knapp Valley and to lose Ron for my business purchases.

Our experience with Knapp Valley Gardens has left us disappointed and frustrated. When we initially engaged Knapp Valley Gardens, they were quick to showcase their extensive portfolio of impressive and extravagant projects. They boasted about their ability to transform outdoor spaces into stunning masterpieces, insisting our “smaller” $17,000 project - where we desired simplicity and low maintenance - would be a piece of cake for them. Don’t be fooled. Their lack of effort and detail on our small project was disheartening. Instead of providing the quality and professionalism we expected, Knapp Valley Gardens treated our project as an afterthought.

The planning effort was good. It entailed a visit to a property, a discussion of wants and expectations that led to an on-the-spot sketch that captured our desires. Half of our front garden would be torn out and mulched, with a few boxwoods and other low maintenance plants placed. The other half would be hardscaped for front seating and interspersed with garden areas for boxwoods and similar. We were told they’d slip us in between one of their bigger projects and to expect a call in a couple of months.

Finally the call came, and ground was broken… err.. I mean scraped. Yup, on the side of the house that was to be dug up and mulched all those invasive weeds and rhizome based perennials were scraped off at the top leaving mostly bare soil and roots with the mulch dumped right on top. Within four days of completion weeds were popping up through the mulch. Today, six+ months later, I spent my entire morning digging out swaths of day lilies with deep entangled root bundles. So much for low maintenance.

The hardscape side of the yard was a bit better, but the project management provided by Knapp Valley Gardens was lacking with no effort put into ensuring a smooth and successful outcome. For example, there was to be a brick border around the pavers. Once all the pavers were laid, we were the ones to point out that the space left for the brick was too large and would result in a unsightly 1-2” gap to be filled with polymeric sand. Another example: Rather than a single continuous strip of aluminum edging against the grass, it was stitched together with shorter chunks that look like they had been mauled apart by a rabid racoon. The final work had gaps, jagged edges, and strange angles. On a portion where the edging wasn’t tall enough to contain the mulch they just left a giant gap beneath hoping we wouldn’t notice. The project manager was nowhere to be seen when it came to noticing these issues. As the client, we found ourselves taking on the burden of monitoring and overseeing the project. Ultimately many of the issues have been fixed, but it required us being continuously on top of things.

Even on basic items like plants, Knapp Valley Gardens fell short. Some of the boxwoods are doing great, some are short and lanky. Some of the flowering plants look good; some of them don’t. Maybe it’s our fault for not caring for them properly? Who knows – we were provided zero instruction on how to care for the plants, and don’t even have a list of what was planted so we can look it up.

The disregard shown by Knapp Valley Gardens towards smaller projects like ours is deeply disappointing. It is essential for a reputable company to value all their clients, regardless of the project size. Neglecting smaller projects demonstrates a lack of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to customer satisfaction.

In light of our experience, we strongly caution against engaging the services of Knapp Valley Gardens. Their negligence, lack of detail and effort, and prioritization of larger projects over smaller ones create a recipe for disappointment and frustration. Spare yourself the disappointment and seek out a landscape company that values every project, regardless of its scale, and consistently delivers the quality and professionalism you deserve. Learn from our mistake and find a company that will treat your project with the attention and care it deserves, regardless of its size or budget.

100 percent recommend. My husband and I bought our first home recently and had zero knowedge on how to do our landscape / what plants to use. Jennifer was super helpful in that regard and helped out choose what plants would thrive best in certain spots in our yard and was happy to answer any questions we had. We also compared prices and Knapp Valley Gardens had cheaper plants than the big box stores. We will always come here for our landscape / plant needs!

Keeping it simple, I requested removing gravel pieces along driveway, cleaning up, smoothing out with colored rocks. They did a fantastic design, and professional job, exactly what I wanted. Very happy, will look forward to a backyard renovation in the future

I’m not one to normally post a review but when a business really stands out I feel compelled to. Bonsai is my hobby and I frequent all of the local nurseries, in terms of selection Knapp Valley Gardens is by far the best in the area. The staff is always friendly and they go above and beyond helping me find trees that might be of interest. Can’t recommend enough!

It is very insulting to not be acknowledged at all while we were walking around looking at the various plants. The staff was more interested in helping people older than us. If you are under 40 they do not want your business apparently. I'd suggest going to Romence Gardens or Koetsiers.

Knapp Valley Gardens completed a large back yard patio and landscaping project for us last summer, and we had them back to complete our front yard hardscaping this spring. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of the work and customer service provided. Tim was great to work with from the beginning of the design process through to the finished product. Jeff was also great to work with every day as the project progressed. I highly recommend Knapp Valley!
