I have a dying tree and I contacted them weeks ago. They sent a proposal which I sent back right away but they never responded. I email several more times and eventually call again and they ask me to send proposal again. I reach out again and get nothing but silence. Terrible and unprofessional.

They diagnosed and have been treating a scab issue on our flowering crab apple. Clearly explained options and always take extra care to check in and explain what they’re doing and protect surrounding plants & bird feeders.

The workers went above and beyond my expectations I couldn’t be happier with the work they did

It is now November 11th and I’ve been trying since September 9th to get a simple tree trimming cost quote. I started an email exchange with an employee to set a time to have someone come out to provide a quote for trimming a fruit tree. It started when I left information on their site and the employee (I will refer to them here as Y) emailed me September 9th.

Employee Y kept providing schedule dates, which I immediately accepted, and then they would email me again saying the date THEY gave me was no good. So it went from a visit on Sept 27th, to then Oct 3rd, to then to October 4th, THEN the 10th and I was accepting every date only to be told no again and again from the dates they offered me! After accepting the Oct 10th appointment I emailed 11 days later to confirm a time just to have employee Y say she filled that spot for someone else.

At this point I should’ve walked away, but I really want an arborist so I tried again to get an appointment. I knew I was “banging my head against the wall” but I had hope if someone came to my house I could get out of the terrible customer service loop I was in with employee Y.

Employee Y then let me know that although she rebooked my time for Oct 10th, she would make it work to get someone to my place on Oct 4th. I accepted immediately and asked she confirm via email right away since I was going weeks without hearing from her during appointment booking.

So Oct 4th came and a new person came to my house to review my needs (I will call him employee A). Employee A was very nice, knowledgeable and we were able to walk through what I was looking for in a quote. We also discussed 2 other trees that will need to be removed next year, and that was that. He is a graduate of Michigan Tech so I was very hopeful I finally had someone that will work with me.

My biggest mistake, not getting employee A direct contact.... 2 weeks later I had still not heard one word from anyone at this company. Back to emailing employee Y. Ugh. Email 1 goes out Oct 18th to see where the quote is, no response. I try again Oct 26 and get a reply on Oct 28th that it is coming quickly. Then I send my last email November 8th, shocked that still no one can provide a quote... and now today, still no response.

I generally save long reviews for places I love, but I just can’t believe the lack of customer service when I want to spend money with a company.if they act this way just to try to get a quote I shudder to think what happens if you hire them.

Can't speak for quality of work, but my son and I were out for a walk and he was intrigued with watching them take a tree out so we stopped and watched for a good 30 minutes. After they were done, one of the employees came over and talked to him about his tree climbing equipment and gave him a carabiner clip like the ones they use. Needless to say, he was thrilled.

Run don't walk away from this company. I contacted them in June to come and look at a tree on my property. One of the "certified Arborists" from Bartlett Tree Experts came out a few days later, looked at the tree and took soil and leaf samples. I didn't hear a thing from the "certified Arborist" until I called the company and left messages. He finally called back in August and told me that more samples were required. I have no idea if he ever came back and took more samples because that was the last I ever heard from a Bartlett Tree Expert "certified Arborist".

My experience with this company is their reliability doesn't exist and if you are looking for work to be done in a timely fashion, Bartlett Tree Experts are not who you want to seek out look somewhere else.

We were very satisfied with everyone from Bartlett Tree Service. The work was done when scheduled. In spite of the snow covering the ground, the clean up was done very well. Can't wait to see the tree next summer. It will look fabulous!

They were not great with communication; did not come when they said they would come......not even within a ballpark of months. Did not do all of the planned services. . . . Not even within a year! No communication at all about other planned services I thought they were doing. There was no communication between staff -apparently- because the basic questions I had initially to sprayer couldn't be answered (time, plans, outcome, etc.)....and I never heard back about those concerns. Blew me away to get such terribly unreliable and inauthentic service.

I researched quite a bit before landing on Barlett and I'm glad I did. They did a terrific job cutting back an overgrown sugar maple in my yard (crossed into both neighbor yards as well) and the result is a much, much healthier tree and much safer house. Great communication throughout, fair pricing (note: not the cheapest quote, but by far the most responsive and get-what-you-pay-for service), prompt and they didn't leave so much as a speck of sawdust behind. Highly recommended.

Don’t bother. They don’t show up when they say they will. They promise to email a estimate next day then never send. According to other reviews I’m not the only one. Unless you have the time and patience to deal with this call someone else. I’m sure there are other companies around that want the business and follow through on their commitments.

And Bartlett, you don’t need to bother commenting. I’m not interested in wasting more of my time to help you fix your problems. Moving on.

Bartlett postponed a job for an important client so that they could bring out a crane to remove a large tree limb from off my roof. They were courteous, respectful, and went the extra mile to please. After dropping the rest of the tree all over the yard, I couldn't believe how well they cleaned up. They were even willing to leave me sections of the tree for firewood, which they piled neatly in a corner of the yard. By the time they left, you could hardly tell they had been there. Even the leaves were raked up! Very pleased with their work, couldn't recommend them enough! Thank you!
