We recently bought an eighteen-year-old condo in Edina. It had been well taken care of, but no updates/improvements had ever occurred. Consequently, it needed some attention. Through networking, we were introduced to Jolynn at Crystal Kitchen + Bath. From the very beginning, we became very comfortable with her and her ideas for updating/improvements.

The scope of our project was to replace the entire kitchen (cabinets, appliances, countertops, and island). For the remainder of the condo, we repainted and replaced all the flooring. Jolynn and her staff presented some interesting and creative ideas for the kitchen, especially for a new and much larger island. We approved the new plans and the project got underway.

In addition to detailed plans, Jolynn also presented a work schedule for the project and what specifically would occur each day of the six-week project. The schedule was adhered to and the project was completed on time. Because we are not Minnesota residents, Jolynn shepherded the project each step of the way keeping us informed throughout. When there were questions and/or issues, they were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Jolynn’s staff and sub-contractors were excellent and their skills and workmanship were very evident in the final product.

Now that the project is completed, we have lived in our “new” home away from home and couldn’t be more satisfied. From the design to the quality of work to the livability we are very pleased. Jolynn and her company Crystal Kitchen + Bath are very highly recommended for any home remodeling need and project.

After updating much of our 1980's home, we needed to tackle the biggest part - the kitchen! Way too much golden oak to continue living with :) CK&B had remodeled a friend's kitchen, and she recommended them. I attended one of their seminars, liked what I saw, and the way Jolynn answered questions - both the easy ones and the tough ones.

The design process went smoothly - I felt Mary really listened to our needs and wants, and gave her honest, professional thoughts. She also seemed to get our vibe pretty quickly, so all was well. Her option selections were right on with my taste.

Given what we were doing in the kitchen, we wanted to incorporate changes in the living room, family room and stairway. So this was pretty extensive, but not unexpected.

My husband had been a general contractor, so we already knew quite a bit going into the remodel. Budget was not a surprise, and Jolynn was able to work around the parts that we contracted ourselves. The timeline was pretty seamless. No small feat!

Jolynn handled a countertop delay very well - bad news delivered early was way better than bad news delivered late! She worked with the supplier to mitigate the delay, and there were no issues.

We also experienced an issue with the interior of our cabinets, but that was also managed to our satisfaction.

Given we had many moving pieces to this project, it went extremely well, and we are pleased with the results. A less experienced and professional company would have been a nightmare.

Our new open first floor looks and functions beautifully now. The light streams though all the rooms, and the space is lovely when the sun is out and when it's 'moody' outside. We have gotten so many compliments, and the house is no longer stuck in the '80's!

My home was built in 1956, a classic mid century ranch style home. The kitchen had been "updated" sometime in the early 2000's with early 1990's style cheap light oak cabinets and slippery ceramic tile flooring. It was ugly, dark, and dysfunctional, shut off from the large foyer and living room with an apple core of 4 small doors. My goal was to remove the apple core and improve ALL aspects of the kitchen's functionality and aesthetics. CK & B accomplished that in 7 weeks. My kitchen now, although no larger, is both more functional and beautiful thanks to Kaitlyn and Jolynn's assistance choosing a design plan and helping to narrow choices for the cabinets and other finishes. Jolynn provided a calendar detailing the daily 7 week construction activity scheduled and the workmen who would be working each day. The schedule was adhered to with only a few very minor exceptions and was completed on time. The workers were very skilled, respectful and pleasant. The apple core has been eliminated, the doors widened to allow a much better flow of traffic and light. The kitchen is now will lit with more storage, outlets, new flooring and beautiful finishes, I'm very happy with the CK&B experience and the result.

We had a great experience working with Crystal Kitchen and Bath remodeling our kitchen and laundry room. Carol was especially helpful in creating our design taking into account what we were hoping to accomplish and what would work best for our specific situation. We're so happy with the results - it's everything we wanted! Our kitchen is more open, better traffic flow, beautiful cabinets, and tons of counter space! Our laundry room finally looks clean and organized! The demo began right before the coronavirus stay at home order. We were so thankful they were able to continue working and could not speak more highly of all the workers that were involved in the project. They were friendly, considerate, always cleaned up and stayed on schedule. I highly recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath not only for the high quality work, but for how well they listen and work to meet individual needs.

In 2022, we had Crystal Kitchen and Bath design and install a new kitchen in our 1955 rambler; planning took about six months and installation took exactly twelve weeks just as Jolynn, the owner of CKB, had scheduled it.
The things I loved about this project:
    1. The calendar and the execution of the plan. Because CKB have their own subcontractors, there is no downtime or delays in getting trade people to the house. It is very organized and smooth running. Minimal frustration and things move along like a machine.
    2. I love the design of my kitchen. Mary was our designer; she listened carefully to our needs and wishes and was able to create a kitchen that fit our space and the flow of traffic in our home. Design is everything, and Mary hit a home run with our design. We love love love our kitchen space and feel like we live in a Nancy Myers kitchen now! I love cooking and even cleaning in it!
    3. Jolynn, the owner of CKB! Jolynn gets things done and runs a tight ship. She is always honest and realistic about what to expect in a kitchen remodel. Hardworking and quite experienced in the business, she is the anchor of the project. Funny, too!
    3. The cabinets. CKB custom made cabinets are utterly beautiful, well-built and highly enjoyable to use. Superior quality and will last forever. I love looking at and using and cleaning my cabinets!
    4. Mark, THE carpenter. Nicest guy you'll ever meet. Superior carpenter and problem solver. He fixed a floor height difference we had between the kitchen and family room; solved a big problem, and it is now seamless. Mark is neat and tidy, does excellent work, and we're so grateful he physically created our kitchen.
    5. The electricians. Stellar work, warm, and friendly. They had to come out for repeated visits after installation was done because code requirements caused some problems. They repeatedly came back and eventually figured out a solution. They were always, always cheerful, fun, and helpful.
    6. Al, the tile guy. Excellent work. Attention to detail. Love our tile! And funny!
    7. Lisa, the project manager. Lisa managed all the small details during installation. She was easy to reach and came to house if needed. Excellent communicator. Worked out the details between the trades and any problems that arose. Dedicated to moving things along and a good problem solver.
    8. Art, CKB's "fix-it" guy. Art does all the miscellaneous jobs and comes out and puts finishing touches on any final touch-ups needed. Great attitude and is a real asset to CKB.
    9. Daily clean-up. Tidiness must be a core value of CKB because everyone tidied up at the end of their day. It was impressive and inspiring.
    10. Glitches. Yes, there were problems, mostly minor just as one would expect in any building project. Somehow, CKB's team took care of the glitches and fixed problems to a degree that I never once shed a tear over this project. Now, getting my appliances took a bit over a year, but that was not CBK's fault. (Ordered in May 2022 and received in Summer 2023. Supply issues)

This house is my childhood home, and I feel very honored to have a "Crystal Kitchen" that enhances our home in 2023. The design fits our family's needs with grandchildren now and more people at our table. Crystal Kitchen far surpassed my decades' long dreams I've had about how we could update and expand our kitchen space. I am delighted as is my husband and adult kids! Thank you, CKB! It has been an utter delight to work with you all.

I have used CKB for two separate projects in my home. One was a kitchen remodel and the other was adding a shower to a half bath. Both times CKB was wonderful to work with. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Jolynn is the owner and is also a designer. She is amazing to work with. Responsive, organized, great design ideas, works on a budget. I highly recommend CKB and would use them again for my next project.

Usually with a remodeling project there is trade off with cost and quality. With Crystal Kitchens I felt like we had an amazing result at a very competitive price, and the service was excellent. Timelines were met and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Tearing out and replacing your kitchen is never easy given that you don’t have a kitchen. Planning is critical, and our designer was thoughtful and thorough crafting a plan that created a beautiful kitchen without cost over runs and delays. The tear out went extremely well without damage to surrounding walls, floors and cabinets. The project manager had a “no nonsense” approach with direct communication and clear expectations. Our carpenter was a joy to work with, and it is a rare life event when you actually look forward to a contractor coming in to your home. The “subs”, electricians and plumbers, were extraordinary in their speed and efficiency.
We have very high standards and have worked with a lot of contractors. Given the scope of this project and the need for attention to detail, Crystal Kitchens gets a A+ from us.

I recently had the pleasure of having my kitchen remodeled by Crystal Kitchen and Bath. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, efficient, and executed with great professionalism. I can't recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath enough.

First and foremost, the project was completed on time. The team of subcontractors involved in the remodel were not only skilled and knowledgeable but also punctual. They showed up when they were suppose to and brought the vision to life.

Communication among Crystal Kitchen and Bath and the subcontractors was exceptional. It was clear they had a well-coordinated plan in place, as they worked seamlessly together to ensure that every aspect of the remodel was executed flawlessly.

One aspect that particularly stood out to me was how professionally change orders were handled. I added a new living room and dinning room hardwood floor to the project. Crystal Kitchen and Bath communicated the potential impact on both the timeline and budget in a clear and transparent manner, allowing me to make an informed decision. Their ability to handle change orders is a testament to their dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Now, let's talk about the end result - the kitchen itself. I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out. The design perfectly complements the style of the house, with a stunning mid-century modern feel. The layout has been optimized to maximize storage and workspace, yet it is so open and inviting. The quality of craftsmanship is evident in everything, and I have received numerous compliments from family and friends on it's overall appearance.

In conclusion, my experience with Crystal Kitchen and Bath has been outstanding. The entire project was handled with professionalism, from the timely completion to the excellent communication and seamless coordination among the subcontractors. The result is a beautiful, breathtaking kitchen that perfectly aligns with the style of my home and exceeds my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking to transform their kitchen into a stunning and functional space.

We recently worked with Crystal Kitchen and Bath on a complete Kitchen remodel. Our kitchen had not been changed in the 26 years we’ve owned our house and we knew we needed an update. We requested bids from three different remodelers and felt most comfortable with Jolynn and her team at Crystal Kitchen and Bath. Our designer, Mary Maney, took the time to listen to our needs and wants and designed a kitchen that we just love. The initial cost estimates turned out to be very accurate as did their estimate of how long the job would take. The team of construction professionals showed up on time each day and gave us periodic construction updates. The communication we received throughout the construction process was outstanding. We even made a small change to the design mid-project and that was handled quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath.

Crystal Kitchen + Bath completely remodeled our small 1958-era primary bathroom. It's now gorgeous and efficient. They were absolutely fantastic to work with: communicative, excellent and well-trained contractors, on time and on budget. I loved their design ideas, and how they listened to my wishes. They were both knowledgeable and fun to work with. When we wanted to make an adjustment to the shower even AFTER the job was finished, they worked with us until we were 100% satisfied. We could not have been happier with our experience working with CK+B or happier with the results.

We recently completed a full kitchen renovation with Crystal Kitchen + Bath and the results are outstanding. This was a major project that included new floors, cabinets, countertops, tile backsplash, lighting, and a new bar. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism.

The subcontractors were skilled, courteous, and efficient. Tammy, our designer, was exceptional-- her creativity and attention to detail brought our vision to life in ways we hadn’t imagined. Lisa, our project manager, kept everything running smoothly and ensured the project was completed within the promised timeframe, which we greatly appreciated.

From start to finish, the process was seamless, and the end result exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this company to anyone considering a kitchen remodel- you’ll be in excellent hands.

I had lived in my house for about 7 years before deciding to have CKB remodel my kitchen. In years past I had "pieced" together other contractors/remodels trying to save money, and I was extremely disappointed with some of the quality and how I was treated during the process. I chose CKB because I needed a company I could trust with my forever home. Though they were the most expensive of my quotes, it was well worth it in terms of longevity and materials chosen (cabinets, countertop, tile, fixtures, etc.). They walked me through all details of the project, a realistic budget, and a timeline. Increasing functionality while staying true to the age of my home was extremely important to me and the design chosen by the interior designer was perfect. I can't say enough about all of their staff, including the quality of work and the amount of trust I had in them coming into my home (especially during a pandemic). CKB was there for me not only throughout all aspects of the project, but they allow me to stay in contact and follow up, even months later when I have questions regarding care or touch-ups. I would absolutely recommend CKB for any project.

CKB staff is marvelous. They handled everything. All I had to do was make the choices of the flooring, cupboard handles, new sink & faucets along it a new garbage disposal and the new lighting. They made if very easy and did all the ordering. (I handled the new appliance ordering and delivery to coincide with the kitchen update schedule.)

I am very satisfied with the entire process and I am so glad I made the choice to work with CKB on my kitchen project. Everyone who has seen the results just marvels at the changes. Thank you, CKB!!

We built our house 27 years ago and had a classic 90’s U-shaped kitchen layout that we felt was quite serviceable. When we wanted to update, our initial thoughts were to simply paint the existing cabinets and add new quartz countertops. I can’t tell you how happy we are that we took it a step further and redesigned the space significantly with CKB. We have a dramatic new kitchen that we created from the studs on up. It features a large center island, wall ovens and a very cool range-top. Removing the soffits and going all the way to the ceiling with white cabinets and recessed lighting was transformational.
The entire process was very pleasant, we worked very collaboratively with Jolynn and Jennie. CKB’s showroom/design center is very nice and it proved super helpful to see things in an actual space as we formulated ideas. The project timeline tracked to the plan right down to the day, which is amazing. They have awesome subcontractors that not only do great work, but are also on-time, courteous and just really nice people. We would highly recommend CBK.

We were looking for a company who could help us with a complete master bath remodel, as our travertine floor tile was cracking in several places resulting in a slow leak creating stains on our first floor ceiling, so we decided it was the right time for a complete update. The entire team at CKB, including Jolynn, Kaitlin and Lisa, together with each of their subcontractor teams, did a great job with our design, demo, construction and cleanup, keeping us timely informed and doing high quality work every step of the way!

During the demo, we discovered the entire wood subfloor beneath the shower had rotted through due to improper construction when our house was built 14 years earlier, which was the source of the tile cracking and leak. They were able to repair the subfloor for only a modest increase to the final project cost, and still able complete the job close to the originally estimated schedule. There were a few other more minor items that had to be redone during the job but again, CKB made things right for us at no additional cost for the items needing additional attention. They weren’t happy until we were completely satisfied.

We would definitely recommend choosing CKB for your remodel. The may not be the least expensive option, but the quality of their work, timeliness in all communications and focus on getting things done the way we expected was completely worth it to us. You won’t be disappointed with the end result!

Crystal Kitchen and Bath did an amazing job on our kitchen. The original was 62 years old and well-past its’ sell-by date! Worse, our sense of design was lacking, to put it mildly. Mary spent a lot of time working with us to figure out what we really needed and what we wanted vs what we wanted to pay for. This was important to us because before we began we had NO idea what a quality kitchen remodel might cost. Now we have a kitchen that is functionally “larger” without changing the footprint at all.

It has been done for over a year now and we’ve had a chance to “live” with it and we still love it. Our family does too.

First Mary suggested that we make the window over the sink bigger by making the bottom of it just a few inches lower. Then she made the window seem bigger yet by suggesting a full-view awning window instead of the double-casement. Last, she made the floor bigger by suggesting a banquette against one wall instead of having the table in the middle of the room. These are the kinds of things that we could not imagine ourselves. She re-arranged our appliances and maximized the counter-space despite there being no room for an island. Now two of us can cook at the same time!

The construction process was delightful. They made every milestone that they had scheduled and they finished *exactly* when they told us that they would. To The Day. Not ONE of our friends that has had this type of major remodel has had a project proceed as scheduled; some have missed by months. Our kitchen was completed in early 2023 so the supply chains were still messed-up but they made it happen. Their planning was flawless.

There were minor issues; although to be fair I am not clear that these were Crystal Kitchen’s fault. There is a door lock that works well in the winter – when we don’t use the door – but did not work well last summer. Hopefully this summer will be better; so far it is! There was also a crack in the granite countertop – virtually invisible – and a countertop seam that failed with a bang. The original seam was invisible but the repair certainly is not. I guess there has to be that one “thing” or the review is unbelievable.

Crystal Kitchen may not be the cheapest out there, but for us it was worth every penny. I would call them FIRST if we needed it done again. I recommend Crystal Kitchen without reservation.

Our experience with Crystal Kitchen and Bath was fantastic. We needed to replace our cabinets, countertops, and backsplashes in our mid-70s split-level home. We also needed some additional storage space for food. Amber was great about listening to our thoughts, being conscious of our budget, and suggesting fantastic options. For the build process, Lisa gave us a 7 week schedule and everything happened exactly as she scheduled it. The contractors were careful, and thorough and friendly. When a couple issues came up, Lisa, Amber, and Jolynn were right on top of making sure they got resolved.

In the end, we got a beautiful, clean, light, and low-maintenance kitchen that is a pleasure to spend time in.
