We wanted a three season porch added to the back of our home without destroying our garden and damaging our ash tree. Michael designed a beautiful space that kept our garden intact. Rather than the using the usual rectangle for a porch addition, Michael created a porch without parallel lines, both charming and beautiful. Everyone who worked on the project from Michelle, the project manager, Sol and Stephen, the carpenters, to the subcontractors was respectful, courteous, and competent.
The result is a unique and delightful space that fits beautifully into our back yard. We highly recommend OA Design and Build.

My husband and I have had numerous projects with Michael Otogawa-Anschel over the years - including original art painting in our son's room (along with a "story" about the scene), master bedroom bath and custom closet rebuild, total lower level remodel, as well as more "boring" yet important projects (waterproofing, drain tile, etc.)

OA Design Build did a great job on our house remodel. We had a crazy idea during the pandemic to add a pool to our backyard and a gym to our basement, which meant completely re-configuring the back of our house and our lower level. They listened carefully to our goals, helped us design a project that fit our budget and then built it with impeccable quality. We wish they had built the original part of the house, too. The project was designed and planned quite well so that we had no major surprises along the way. The disruption to our neighbors was kept to a minimum. They were quick to come up with good solutions to the few unexpected things that did pop up. We've had more compliments that we can count on the finished project and we love the many lasting memories we've made with our family swimming in the pool.

Would definitely recommend! They did a great job, were super communicative, finished the job up quickly, and charged a fair price!

They replaced a carpet damaged area in our basement with, and prepared an uneven, un level concrete area with gorgeous porcelain tile. Wasn't an easy job, but with so much knowledge CK did the job proper and it turned out beautifully!
