We happened to have an old Rainbow swing set that had outlived its life in our back yard that needed to be removed. My wife noticed a nice young man putting up a sign advertising junk removal, stopped and talked with Alex and made arrangements to come and remove it. The price was very reasonable and Alex was absolutely a joy to deal with. Highly recommend this company.

I’ve used Alvarado Haul & Junk Removal twice now, first for moving out heavy furniture and then again for a major lawn clean-up, and both times the service was excellent. Alexis, the owner, is professional, reliable, and incredibly efficient. He made the entire process smooth and stress free. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. I’ll definitely continue to call Alvarado Haul & Junk Removal for any future projects. Highly recommend!

Not a good experience. We hired Alex to remove brush from several areas around our house. Initially he sent two guys that did a great job! Then Alex came to finish the job and we agreed to pay him additional $ to clean another small area next to our house. He told me he was done and I believe him- paid him n full. The additional area wasn’t even touched. His brother came back the next day to work on our next door neighbors brush- I actually recommended them to our neighbor. His brother cut down the brush they owed us but didn’t remove it. After several weeks and texts I ended up doing it myself today. Buyer beware with Alex.

Alex was very kind and the service He provided was amazing! Everything was done neatly and in a timely manner. Plus Alverado Haul & Junk Removal provides competitive pricing around the area. Definitely recommend his services!

Deceptive pricing, poor communication, and an overall nightmare experience.

I hired Affinity Moving for a full-service move — packing and moving within Minneapolis. I was quoted $618 for three movers and about two hours of service.

Here’s what actually happened:

Only two movers showed up, and I ended up doing almost all of the packing myself, effectively acting as the third mover.

During the move and delivery, I also had to do nearly all of the loading and unloading with the movers.

The move took over five hours, making me late to my own going-away party.

Because my friends were waiting to celebrate my going-away, they also ended up helping with the move instead of enjoying the event.

My belongings were supposed to go to a storage unit, but the movers claimed it was “closed” and kept everything — including my plants and pet medication — in their truck for two days.

After all that, the company tried to charge nearly triple the original quote for incomplete service.

I reached out multiple times to both the company and the owner and received no response.

Even if this was a misquote or internal mistake, it should never fall on the customer to pay for errors or services that weren’t delivered. Because of this experience, I plan to file complaints with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, and I am disputing the charges with my bank.

Bottom line: Be very cautious if you’re considering this company. They misrepresented their services, were unresponsive, and failed to provide the support promised.

Thank you for your comment. For clarity, I provided all relevant information about my move to the sales team, and the movers were aware of the storage unit upon arrival. While the company claims the move required more staff, it appears that the underestimation may have been due to a mistake in the sales team’s estimate and internal miscommunication between the sales team and the movers, rather than a lack of information on my part.Despite this, the services I paid for — including packing, loading, and unloading — were not delivered, and my belongings were held in the movers’ truck for two days, including essential items like plants and pet medication. The fact that I was not charged for the overnight storage is misleading — my belongings were kept overnight only because the company failed to complete the move as promised. While I approved keeping my belongings overnight for delivery the next morning, this was only necessary due to the company’s failure, and they then retained my items for an additional day, which I never authorized. Additionally, the owner called to request authorization for a "second move", which I did not approve, yet my card was charged anyway.

The owner gave me two options during our only conversation and told me to call back with my decision; when I called minutes later and again on subsequent days, no one replied. There were no multiple attempts by the company to resolve the situation, and while a partial reduction was offered, it did not address the incomplete service or the impact on me and my friends.

I had 3 moves with this company within a span of 4 days. 2 of the 3 moves were absolutely 5/5 above and beyond. The first move had a bit of a hiccup but the operations manager George came out and the owner Derrick made it right so I'm happy with the resolution and follow up customer service.

I requested the same crew from the good second move for the 3rd and they delivered again, great jobs Elijah, Michael, Darius, and Spencer! Amazing hustle and efficiency, and nothing damaged for a BIGGER move.

All in all, I had paid about 20 hours of moving labor with Affinity, and they sprung to fix a scratch on my dining table so I would say that it was nothing but a minor inconvenience.

The customer resolution for anything that went wrong is a great selling point with these guys, for such a stressful industry. It took a few calls to get the full picture but they ended up fixing everything to my satisfaction.

Ron and Will were our movers, and they were extremely kind and professional. They always took good care of our belongings and moved everything very carefully. The whole process was easy, fast, and stress-free thanks to them. Truly excellent movers 100% recommended.

The final price was about $250 more than the initial quote, but considering how smooth and careful the move was, we still believe it was completely worth it.

I would hire these guys again!! They were so careful with my furniture. They were very professional as well.

They were both EXTREMELY helpful & moved lots of stuff to the garage. They had wonderful, humorous personalities & were easy/pleasant to work. Send them back!

Prompt, like within minuets of my quote request they were the first through the gate, the most reasonable quote delivered with anpproval, and straight through to the finish line with a happy customer. Everything was communicated clearly and with efficiency and the subsequent move was carried out as planned.

Had a great experience with affinity moving. They worked quickly and efficiently and took good care of my belongings. They wrapped furniture that needed it, quickly dissembled and reassembled the bed at the new location. It was all very seamless.
