Tony was friendly and informative, walked us through everything that was going to happen, and was kind to our smallest, slightly neurotic dog, who has a hard time with new people and big boots. We have been so delighted with the temperature in our house! And the QUIET. I don't think we realized how loud our window air conditioners were until they were gone. And actually having the windows back to see through is wonderful! I'm looking forward to using the heat options in the winter.

I was asked to pay for a quote (to compensate for their time and mileage).

To arrange a mid-day quote, I took 1/2 day of vacation. The quote was to arrive the next business day.

Two business days later, the sales rep (David) sent an email noting they do not perform the tasks (simple venting and ducting) that were clearly discussed on the phone interview (and in person).

Ethically -- shouldn't they now be paying for my time?

The tech came on time and repaired my heat pump in a very timely
manner.We were leaving town and I wanted or heating system working properly.
I got a service contract with them because I was very impressed with

Ado did a fantastic job tuning up our furnace for the winter. Found a few trouble spots that he fixed up immediately and explained some troubleshooting tips that will be very helpful for the future. Highly recommend Freedom for your HVAC needs, very solid work.

FYI, I have no personal affiliation with this company, I just now really like them now that I've used them. I found them through the internet, and I hope that my personal review will help convince people to use Freedom. WELL DONE! Freedom was exactly what I was looking for - a local, locally-owned business, with real people doing real work...honest guys making an honest living doing hard, technical work for regular people. Man, they saved me...

Before Freedom: I had originally called Minneapolis and St Paul Heating and Air Conditioning, and they sent out a technician that was basically a salesperson, who told me a million things but didn't do anything, and left without a quote or fixing the air conditioning, and later called with a $1650 estimate (plus the $80 fee for coming over in the first place), to install pounds of coolant and a can of sealant. Woah, $1730, could that be right? He mentioned it so casually on the phone, and only after I asked (he didn't volunteer the info, and never sent me an email with the info, either). He said that half (about $800) would be to put in coolant, and half (about $800) would be to put in the can of sealant to repair any leaks. So I told him to hold off, and I called Freedom.

After I called Freedom: The guy on the phone (the owner or manager?), was super-helpful, set up an appointment with me, and then a tech, Anthony came over. He said that my 5-year-old air conditioner was a little low on coolant, maybe 1-2 pounds, and I would want him to put some in, and should he repair the leak, too? We talked it over, and I decided to hold off on repairing the leak (1-2 pounds loss over 5 years is an extremely slow leak), and just to put in the coolant. And instead of $800+ and the $80 service charge (which would be $880, not to mention that they wanted to do a full $1730), Anthony put in the coolant, I paid the $260, and we are all set.

I will DEFINITELY use Freedom to check my furnace in the fall, and to recheck my AC next spring, and recommend them to anyone and everyone (I put a Facebook post about them on my Facebook page, and it got lots of likes...everyone loves a good service guy!)

My house is 120 years old, and I am fully committed to making sure it lasts at least a few generations after I do. When I hire different service providers -- and new faces are rare -- I try to make sure the provider understands that commitment on my part, and can even see that they play a part in that long game.

David and crew were extremely honest from the get go, and replaced the entire HVAC utility, and new zones that could be supported with the house's existing ductwork. Every aspect of the installation and follow-up checks has been awesome, and my house now has Freedom on its list of supporting experts.

Anthony from Freedom Heating and Air did a great job! He was on time and was very efficient with the work he did. He also was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions giving us great advice without pushing unnecessary products or services.

This contractor actually offered a great solution to a tricky building heat/cooling issue. I own an old store front with a 2 unit residence behind. They were all polite and showed up early for appointments. Finished work in one day, when I thought they would be around for a week. nobody smoked on my property or stood around using a mobile phone. They ended up charging a little less than bid amount because I paid in cash. Nice job!!!

Staff is always friendly and very helpful with any questions I've had on my recent install. I was pretty new to home ownership and David has thoroughly explained anything and everything regarding heating and air. He has been easy to reach post install and has far exceeded my expectations. Wonderful service from these guys. We needed someone out to fix the furnace that broke in our duplex on our tenants side. It was 7 degrees outside that day. They were able to come the same day and fix it by 5. Life savers! Pricing was fair and they were very professional.

I called Freedom Heating and AC when my regular HVAC company quoted an incredibly high price for an installation of 3 Ecobee thermostats for our zoned system. Our technician, Anthony, was helpful in not only the installation but also with the Wi-Fi set up. There prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding. Amy, the office assistant was timely and very customer friendly. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Had a great experience with Anthony. He was pleasant, professional, and empathetic. What I mean is that he wants to do the job as it should be done, but he's also aware that I don't want to drop a lot of unnecessary money into a project if there is a smarter way to take care of a problem. He's very knowledgeable and able to offer various routes for me to deal with my AC issues, and now it works great, when it used to drain water all over my basement floor.

My experience with Freedom HVAC was significantly better than the previous company I was working with. After installation of a whole house dehumidifier, the service tech Anthony felt that the filters would be better accessed if he flipped it the opposite direction. There was no charge for the extra time. Definitely a 5 star experience!

Freedom was professional and thorough during the entire process of installing of our central air conditioning system. There were a few technical hiccups that required a couple more visits, but Dave and his team always responded in a timely manner and ensured that the job was ultimately done to our satisfaction. Freedom Heating and Air is the real deal. Our AC stopped working coming up on a weeklong forecast of 90 plus degrees. I called Freedom around 3pm to see if we could get on the schedule for a service call. David wanted to make sure we got it taken care of before the heat came and knew their following business day was already booked out. He personally drove out to our house after hours and went above and beyond to get the AC up and running. I HIGHLY recommend Freedom to anyone and everyone with HVAC needs. Truly a top notch company.

Our technician, Anthony, did an excellent job and was very friendly and professional, which was impressive given his young age. This was the 3rd year in a row that we've needed help on our unit with the 1st year being a coolant charge, the 2nd a coolant charge and a dye test to check for a leak, and this last time another coolant charge. The only frustrating part through this whole process is we shouldn't need a charge every year and this was the first time the technician recommended replacing our unit and gave us a very thorough explanation of a few possible causes of why we kept losing freon. If our technician the first time around would have been more caring of our situation like Anthony, we would have been able to cover a repair, or a new unit, through our warranty but now this will not be the case.

So all in all, this company does a nice job and is very friendly but wish some things would've been done differently especially early on. My wife and I highly recommend Anthony as a technician as he really seems to care about you as a person, and a homeowner, and does not treat his service call as just another job.

I'm a former general contractor, so finding a good heat & air company is extremely important. John replaced the coil on our AC unit today. He was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Freedom to my friends and family. In fact, I have!

I needed help quickly because our furnace stopped working and a cold front was coming! After calling Freedom, John arrived 30 minutes later. He diagnosed the problem in no time and fixed it.
