This was the first summer I used TruGreen. I would not recommend them to anyone! I have had horrible luck with service representatives not following clear directions and for stating they applied certain applications to my lawn when in fact they have not. I know this because I watch what they do and what they say they do and don't do. They have falsely stated one thing and done another on multiple occasions. I have had to contact and complain about almost all service applications throughout the summer and request price adjustments. I requested the service manager contact me twice and it took THREE DAYS or more for a return call from the service manager. That is unacceptable. The service representatives that come to do the applications do not the name of various weeds or basic lawn care details from my experience. They are worthless. Rather, they are just trained to do the standard applications and are in an out of your property in less than 3 minutes. It seems like they really don't care about your lawn. Working with this company was more stress than good!

Run!!! This was the worst experience ever. I have been dealing with them since May… with a very simple request….please just give me the services I asked for! They mis-measured my property which resulted in techs coming on sight and then leaving without rendering service. The on site techs were quick to point this out, and all said they could have someone re-measure my property. I told them repeatedly I don’t care how much the services cost I just want my property treated for weeds and fertilized each month. Another month would go by with no service. I would call and be promised that someone would come and remeasure or fix my issue. Around and around I went with this literally all summer. I have been getting the run around with no end in sight. I have called corporate. I have talked to their techs. After multiple attempts to rectify the fact that they were not giving me the services I to cancel. They “used car salesman” talked me into keeping it promising to finally fix it. Today yet another tech knocked on my door and again was completely confused. It is unbelievable how terrible this company is…the only way to get service is to call their call center and there is zero follow through from them at the local level which means nothing gets done. All the while I’ve been charged thousands of dollars by them because I prepaid for my services which were never rendered. DO NOT USE.

I have had multiple issues with this company’s performance. I believe they have serious in house issues with communication. I also believe that they are honorable to their customers by the way they have responded to my communications to them about my complaints by phone and email. Their representatives are always courteous and friendly when I call. I think often times customers do not complain because they feel let down or that no one cares to listen. If you keep to yourself they can do nothing about it. My service today was free because they do care and do listen.

Said no thank you when they came to the door, they then asked me to advertise for them with their pamphlet, I said no thanks, again. Dude walked down my steps and tossed it in the middle of my lawn. Maybe don't litter just cause I don't want your service.

2026 updated: impossible to cancel service!!! Called several times, technicians keep coming on their own. Card is charged, impossible to remove it from the app!

2025 Old review: Alyssa Tackett was amazing! She patiently went through all the different services and options with me to customize plans for different properties we own. Lots of helpful information, no pressure to sign up.

Already got 1st service for weed control, I am very happy. If you compare the price of the weed killing spray alone (I got mine from Costco), times the size of the yard, this service seems cheaper then the spray itself.

Got this company recommended by a friend of mine. Very happy so far!

Our technician Jim. Piersol did a great job communicating the. Condition of our lawn and the treatment he was applying. We appreciate being told in person vs. the stock comments spit out by the machine.

Jim P. did a great job today with mosquito defense. He was thorough and took the time to let me show him my unique property. This is much appreciated.
TruGreen answers the phone and has great communication. Very pleased.

Highly recommend. Our technician, Jim P., is so thoughtful and supportive. He goes the extra mile every time he comes. If we have an event or party, he makes sure he times the service to that day and checks back with us that all is good. Very effective treatments.

Technician Kevin was excellent!!!

I had the opportunity to discuss all my concerns prior to his implementing the backyard lawn treatment not provided at our last scheduled appointment.

Kevin also explained reason (dogs?) the previous treatment was skipped to be rescheduled.

I'm very happy with Kevin's work and hope that he will be our technician on all our treatments in the future.

Your technician deserves 5 stars.
True Green has done a good job for me but your biggest weakness is scheduling follow up work. The field and the office are not on the same page or even the same schedule.
The time to get the work performed is a disappointment.

My lawn care specialist was willing and able to answer any questions I had about the service. He did a very thorough job.

Jim did an awesome job and treated everywhere. Spraying in the high weeds where the bugs are hanging out was smart. Appreciate the detailed work! Thank you

This is my first year with TruGreen, I have been very impressed with the communication, the time taken to explain the services and the benefits. Spoke with the technician today, very knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing and what to expect in the future. I'm a happy customer.

Trugreen did mosquito spray for us. Jim was the guy who did it. He was very thorough and found places in our backyard that we never thought of the infestation there.
He basically saved us after a few years of struggling and experiencing many different products. He gave us good tips regarding the maintenance. Thanks Jim Piersol.

Service was subpar! Had weeds all spring, summer, and fall. Call a number of times for them to come out and reapply. Was told I would get aeration and seeding done for free due to all the bare spots from me hand pulling weeds. Still have not gotten it done. I’ve called a number of times with them just saying someone will call me about it. Still no call.

Our lawn looks amazing since we’ve been using TruGreen. They offer great suggestions to help keep weeds under control and keep our lawn lush.

Khalil has been serving our area this season and is doing a great job with every lawn application. Our lawn looks very healthy and beautiful - we’ve even received many compliments from our neighbors! :) Thank you TruGreen and Khalil!
