Yesterday a technician came to aerate and overseed the lawn. It looked fine, but he failed to aerate and seed the lawn on 1 side of our house as was expected. Trugreen sent another technician today to complete the missed area. Very nice and pleasant technician. All work completed as planned.

It seems based on some reviews that this service is very technician dependent. The fertilizer application was done hastily and without appropriate broadcasting of the product which led to very strange looking stripes and uneven application across the yard (see photo). Weed treatment was ineffective despite two separate visits. Both technicians spent less than 10 minutes on the property on both visits and the results were highly disappointing. I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere for lawn care services. Their customer service center is helpful which is why they got 2 stars rather than 1 star.

Jim Piersol was fantastic! Not only did a great job making sure every corners was covered with the treatment, but took the time to connect and explain the product and purpose of the visit!!

I cannot recommend this service enough. Ed and his team are the epitome of friendly, thorough, expert and truly lovely to work with.

Ed first time to my home and walked my entire property with me. He pointed out everything that was growing, and identified for me what should and should not be there. He was thorough, engaging and I honestly learned a ton from our walk through.

He then sent me a private youtube link which outlined the property once again, and clearly communicated the plans for everything.

It is so evident that Ed, and his team, care deeply about their work and they are dedicated to the environment and keeping our spaces healthy and happy for years to come.

I wanted the project - Summer/Fall of 2020 .... mission "Buckthorn Be Gone." Ed came to my property as a professional consultant. He took me through our land showing me what not to kill (ie the cool native things we didn't know we have!)...what to get rid of (ie invasive)...to make our woodland/waterland healthier and more visually pleasing as well. Ed gave me tips on cutting, manual cut stump method, and folier spray for some things. An hour of Eds time and deep knowledge will save me tons of time and effort on the back end when I get started on this little project very soon. I feel excited and ready ....I feel empowered to tackle this job.

Buckthorn was removed from a large area in my yard. Great work and excellent service. I do look forward to seeing what happens next year, since buckthorn is so invasive; however, Colin was reassuring that they will follow up next Fall to continue the process (which was included in my quote). We am so happy to have had help on this huge task!

Will be clearing out the Buckthorn from my acre+ lot in Minnetonka lot. Will also naturalize it. Plans look good. More when the work actually begins.

Ed's crew was out and spread some native seeds on my lot at the start of winter. Really looking forward to see all the native plants come up later this spring and summer.

Ed’s team did a fantastic job removing a large buckthorn hedge. The team was fast, efficient, and cleaned the site well upon completion.

I called Ed's and got a person on the phone the first time I called. I was in a bind, and Ed was kind enough to arrange transport of a small tree for me and did a great job planting it. They weren't able to make it out on the original day planned, and he was very communicative and responsive. I really appreciated how easy they were to work with and would not hesitate to work with them again.

We moved into a house with nearly 2 acres, much of it overgrown with buckthorn. Ed’s Buckthorn provided a comprehensive education and buckthorn removal experience. Ed walked our property, noting the various types of invasive plants, as well as unique and native species on our property. The team has been diligent in spraying, pulling and removing invasive plants for the past year. During a multi-day buckthorn removal process, the team was efficient, kind and respectful towards our family.

Not only did the team do an amazing job removing buckthorn, they also staged logs on our hillside to help reduce erosion and encourage native plant life. The cleanup effort was equally impressive - all debris and twigs were removed from our lawn.

Ed's Buckthorn Control is fabulous company. Ed walked the lot with me and helped educate me about the native vs. invasive species in our woods. The whole staff was knowledgeable and careful in removing the buckthorn while preserving the native species to allow it to flourish. Highly recommend!

What a great company. Ed and his crew are so knowledgeable. He really cares about creating a thriving environment and not just buckthorn removal. We have over one acre of forested property, heavily invaded by buckthorn. Ed worked with us to develop an abatement program and did a wonderful job, on time and at a reasonable rate.

Ed's team did Buckthorn removal on our back hill in 2021 - it was a large job. They came back this fall (2022) as part of the standard follow-up to spot treat growth. I can't say how much the buckthorn removal has opened up our back hill and allowed us to see the wildlife and property. It has made a world of difference. It has been a combination mechanical removal and chemical treatment for buckthorn and other invasive plants. Strongly recommend.

Ed's crew came out and did some weeding of my raingardens in the spring, planted more natives, which Ed helped me source very economically, and took care of the buckthorn on the property in the fall. The crew was very nice. If I need more work done this season I will definitely reach out to Ed.

I also appreciated that Ed was willing to show me how to accurately ID Buckthorn so I can help with the management of the invasive species.
