Ostvig Tree Care was a pleasure to work with, and specifically Monte. Communication for scheduling our trees to be removed including the stumps and debris removal, was excellent, Monte responded quickly to all emails. The crews did an excellent job at both cutting down the trees/stump removal and clean up.
Very competitive pricing and will recommend Ostvig to anyone inquiring about their tree removal or trimming. I contacted our New Brighton forester and let him know the excellent service provided by Ostvig.

Ostvig did exactly what I wanted and they were professional and reasonably priced. I was amazed they were able to take down a large tree and not damage my garden or fence. They also did a great job cleaning up at the end. The staff that were here were really friendly. I've already recommended them to a friend!

The crew of 2 did a great job at a brisk pace, especially considering they had to stop for 2 rainstorms. They were polite and accommodating with my questions. The clean up was fantastic.

I had a great experience with Ostvig Tree. They removed 2 very large deceased ash trees and ground the stumps. They were meticulous in prepping my yard so the heavy equipment did not damage anything, they completely cleaned up every last twig, and they ground the stumps to nothing and even spread the mulch throughout my flower beds. They fully took care of permitting and coordinating with the power company to temporarily remove a nearby power line. Fully professional from start to finish. I'll be returning for all my future needs.

Ostvig has professional arborists on staff and answer all my questions. We have used them for several tree projects. They came out to our house quickly, i had a quote the next day. The work was completed the next week. Quick work, professional tree trimmer. Great clean up.

Russ was quick to give us a bid we found extremely reasonable for the work requested - removal of one full tree & a dead trunk, and trimming back of limbs and boughs from the roof line. After we got things arranged, the crew arrived undaunted by a really cold day, and did quick, clean and efficient work. Super pleased with Ostvig.

Ostvig Tree Care did a great job for us. Came out to consult and review exactly want we wanted. Crew showed up on the scheduled date on time and they were careful on the lawn and performed the work we needed in one day. They did a good job cleaning up and stacked the larger pieces of wood down at our wood pile. I would highly recommend them.

Our very large cottonwood tree needed to be taken down as large branches were falling off in the high winds. (size 19 feet round base and 80 feet tall) The operation took 2 days with 2 major pieces of equipment and NO climbers. There was NO damage to either house, excellent cleanup, on site mulching and four truck loads to remove large branches and base. The staff were excellent and answered all questions and were very caring. I asked them to leave some mulch for my garden which they did. All round an outstanding job.

We have used Ostvig 5 times over the years at two different homes, for everything from tree removal to trimming high branches and cabling limbs. We have always worked with their arborist Jon who is wonderful to work with. He explains everything, really looks at what makes sense for you trees and property, is timely with communication and all work has been excellent and professional. Will always use Ostvig for our tree needs.

Hard working and careful workers. I I was very pleased with how carefully the two man crew removed two mature deceased ash trees, including the stump and roots. They even took the time to put back up the chain link fence. I had taken it down before they arrived and didn’t have to even ask them to help me put it back up, stretch it and bolt it back in place.

We have trusted Ostvig for years on various projects around our property. They come out annually to trim our very large (25' tall) arborvitae hedge and they do a wonderful job. Jon, the project manger we have worked with, always does a great job getting the right crew there to do the work as expected. I would highly recommend you give Ostvig a shot at any outdoor trimming or cutting you need done.

Josh was responsive at every turn. Crew came out on time and did fantastic work. Left the site clean and no hiccups along the way. I'd have no hesitation to recommend Ostvig tree to friends and family.

We used Ostvig Tree Care a couple of years ago to remove two trees that had been tagged by the city. At the time, it was a positive experience—the work was done well, and the cost was reasonable.

Unfortunately, our more recent attempt to work with them was disappointing. I had to call twice just to get someone to schedule a time to come out for a quote on pruning or removing another tree. When the scheduled visit didn’t happen, I called a third time and was told they’d “let the owner know.” Eventually, I got a text from the person who was supposed to come out, saying, “I’m sorry but I won’t be able to bid on this. Thank you.”

At the end of the day, if a company can’t be bothered to even show up to give a quote, it’s not worth your time. I'm unsure if ownership changed or something, but I’d recommend going with a company that follows through and values potential customers.

Monte (initial consultant on the work to be performed) was great! Had a lot of knowledge and was very trustworthy. The team executed exactly as Monte and I had discussed, and they cleaned up afterwards incredibly well. I would definitely call Ostwig and Monte again for my next tree project.

I had a really odd ash tree that was planted between my house and neighbors. I hated it and was constantly worried about it falling, dying of disease or all sorts of tree related things. Scheduling to have my that adult tree removed with stump removal, two trees trimmed and treated was super easy. The business took care of all necessities to ensure that the process would go smoothly. Such as calling my electric company to drop the lines and attach again. They also attached any other lines like cable and phone back up to my property. They took care to clean my yard and sidewalks and it looked great with minimal saw dust. The stump removal was great and aside from an indent in the ground, you’d hardly notice that a tree use to be there. I’m super glad I hired out with Ostvig Trees. They came right on time and was done with my work request within 2-3 hours. So much quicker than I expected. I also love the extra sunlight after the trees were pruned and I can finally grow grass in the area where the removed tree use to be. My trees are clean looking now and I don’t have to worry about them for a while. I recommend Ostvig Trees to those looking for professional and competent tree work.

Great service all around. Monte was very helpful during his visit for an estimate, making sure he understood the work to be done and even offering suggestions for how to deal with a problematic tree that was not a part of the trimming estimate. The day of the scheculed trimming the crew arrived promptly and worked quickly with minimal disruption of our lawn ornaments, etc., and cleaned all the areas up completely.

Monte is the most upbeat, personable and knowledgeable rep I have ever dealt with in any vendor relationship. He is timely and aware of the customer's needs and the crews on site are the same. I am very grateful to have put my trust in Monte and Ostvig and look forward to our continuing relationship for years to come.

Ostvig did a major trim job on three large silver maples in our yard recently. The whole process was done very professionally while keeping the experience fun and friendly.
