We had a dying silver maple that was rotting out, and I was really worried the next storm would finally topple it onto our house. Matt was at a Grandview Chamber event and we got to talking about my tree, and he came by the next day to give it a look and sent over a quote. We only have a small gate which prohibited getting big machinery into our backyard, so when he mentioned a crane, I must admit, I was a little worried. Matt explained everything and made me feel so much more comfortable with it, and surprisingly, it didn’t cost a fortune. The team was efficient, considerate of all our neighbors, and cleaned up so well you can’t even tell they were here cutting down a whole tree!

I can’t say enough about how smooth of a process this was. OH! And I mentioned in our conversation that I had a senior dog so I wanted to make sure he was let out right before they got there so he had time to go potty, and not only did I receive a text when the team was headed our way, Matt called personally because he had made a note about my dogs.

Update - Spring '24: Used Cartwright to clear up some overgrown evergreens, shape some ornamental trees, and take a few limbs off that were nearing my gutters/roof. Great job - consistent, efficient, and clean. That's why I use Cartwright.

Cartwright was very timely. Did bid appointment when they said, did the work before they promised, and were very efficient and clean during/after doing the work. Would definitely use again.

Edit: Cartwright responded to my review saying they "don't have my information on file" however they continue to send me marketing emails.

I hired Cartwright to trim a tree, their staff working on the tree told me there was more severe damage that "was an accident waiting to happen" and needed to be resolved at a later date. I attempted to follow up with Cartwright multiple times following this to get the additional work scheduled and they never got back to me.

We had two trees removed (a crab and a Bradford Pear), two trees pruned (hackberry and maple) and the pear stump ground so we could plant a nicer tree. Home Advisor estimated the job would be over $5000. When Cartwright quoted $1750, I said do it and didn’t bother getting other estimates. They were recommended by my son so I was confident they would do a great job and they did. There were two guys who did the cutting and then a crew of a half dozen cleaned it up and chipped. They were done in under two hours. They ground the stump a couple days later. They were great to work with and fun to watch.

Linda at Cartwright Tree Care was phenomenal!!! After purchasing a home with a long neglected back yard, the inspection report noted a tree leaning on an electric pole that was cited as a dangerous safety hazard. 3 other landscape companies declined to take the job or give a bid. Energy refused to take care of it after several calls from us and a neighbor. Linda said, "That tree has to come down, I'll get it taken down, even if you don't use our company for the rest of the yard." (We did) And she made good on her word and got it done!!!! I would not hesitate to recommend Cartwright!

Our first experience using Cartwright Tree Care was great. Sent out a large crew who got the job done in about two hours, to include removing a dead ash tree, trimming dead hangers from two oaks, and light trimming of a redbud and magnolia adjacent to our home. Left the yard clean and only had to wait a couple of days for the grinding out of the ash stump. All this was done at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this vendor.

Highly recommend! They came out and took out 2 large trees in just under 3 hours! They did a wonderful job cutting them down and cleaning up! They also went above and beyond cleaning up fallen limbs that came down before they arrived!

I'm extremely happy with the job done by the Cartwright team. I have one of the biggest, oldest pin oak trees in town, with very long limbs that needed some serious trimming and lifting of weight and removal of deadwood. Tree rested on the property line of the neighbors and large branches towered over both of our houses. Cartwright's crew focused on safety and made sure to carefully rope and lower large limb pieces so as not to damage anything. The climber was clearly top notch at his job and took care to follow the contract as to which limbs, etc. Cleanup was diligent, no damage, and price was fair. Some of the other tree companies had insane bids, probably due to the size and height of my oak, but Cartwright was reasonable and had come highly recommended by someone I know. I'm very happy I went with Cartwright. Thank you!

I too am a return customer. The first time was my house so I knew how fast crews were. On 7/24/24 it was my HOA. The HOA is roughly 65 acres and involved removing 18 to 20 trees and cleaning numerous others. 10 hours later the work was done. It was a BIG job and Cartwright did a marvelous job. They had the equipment to handle the work and the crew and crew leads were skill full. Thank you Cartwright crews for cleaning up our HOA. Everyone is very happy!

I have used Cartwright Tree Care for the past 13 years or more for tree removal, stump grinding and tree pruning. They are upfront with their insurance information and are always on time (well coordinated with the office) and clean up the site when they are done.

Do yourselves a favor and just call this company when you need tree work. They had great customer service. They were there on time. They worked very quickly. They cleaned up great afterward. They took care of the stump in a timely manner as well. I had a question on the hole where the stump was previously and I called the company. Five minutes later Brian called back and said he would be out there this morning. He was looking at the site in two hours. He answered my question to my full satisfaction and I am very satisfied with his help. Cartwright Tree Company will have all my tree business going forward.

Big storms rolled in July 2023 and they had a lot of work to do! They came out and did an amazing job! Crew was friendly and knowledgeable!!!

Great communication and super fast! They were done with the tree clean up early enough that our roof could be repaired the same day!

*Update: I contacted them about trimming my trees. They were knowledgeable about the proper time to trim oak trees to keep them healthy. They have great communication about scheduling for the season.

The crew at Cartwright Tree Care was extremely professional, polite and did great work.
Every question my wife and I had was answered completely. The work was completed promptly and the cleanup was so well done it was almost like the work didn't even happen.

I was very impressed with Cartwright Tree Care. Brian was amazing & provided a very detailed estimate with pics included that took the stress out of everything. They were very fair on price as well. The clean up crew & cut team also worked super fast!

The Cartwright crew was professional and fast, (super fast).
They removed an very large silver maple with branches leaning dangerously over the house.
They took good care of our driveway and yard. Even my neighbor commented on how quickly the crew worked, and how they took the tree down without damaging our yards.

Also, the price for tree removal was very good. The estimate included all the necessary paperwork, including they insurance paperwork. Very professional.

Cartwright was professional throughout the whole process from the estimate and scheduling to the trimming. They even cut and stacked the dead branches which we requested to keep for our backyard fire pit.

The pricing is competitive, they are safety minded, cautious of grounds and landscaping and always professional. The trees look great and I’ll be using them on my next renovation.

Used this company 4 years ago. Price and service were exceptional so I called last week to have more work done. Matt came out the next day and gave me a quote that was more than reasonable. I accepted at once and he quickly got me on the schedule. Today, (a week later) the crew arrived as scheduled. Alex and the crew did a wonderful job making sure everything was done to my satisfaction. They worked fast and efficient, cleaned up yard, driveway and street. Besides looking up at the trees, no one would have ever known they were here.
