AV came out because we had what we thought was water running out of our heating system. They came out and inspected and it turns out they found the hot water heater had rotted through the bottom. They installed new hot water heaters at a reasonable price and even gave me a veterans discount. They were very professional and courteous. I recommend them to anyone needing HVAC or in our case hot water heater repair or replacement. Very reliable and honest.

I am visiting from out of state. My relative had a service repair call and spring AC maintenance completed. Very impressed - Service was timely and thorough. Thoughtfully answered any questions and shared things to do in-between the spring and fall maintenances to maximize unit performance. I was also pleasantly surprised by the service and repair costs.

Jim Workman, owner of AV Heating & Cooling is professional, courteous, and fair. I called late on a Friday afternoon with an A/C problem and they responded quickly. The computer servers at my business depended on that A/C unit. By that evening we were back up and running. I appreciated how fast their response was, the quality of work, and that the bill was fair. They were very busy at the time, but I felt like Jim cared about the problem I had and helped me resolve it quickly. I will be calling AV Heating & Cooling for future HVAC needs.

Stopped in with an urgent need, the basement A/C unit was out on our RV. Jim was able to diagnose the problem, contact the manufacturer, get it operational again, provide sound advice and keep his business operating all at the same time and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend Jim and his crew to anyone with HVAC needs. Very competent, friendly and service oriented. Also senior and veteran friendly. Thank you for all you did.

The first time I called we needed someone to come look at why the furnace was making the crazy noise it was making. Hadley came out and was very friendly and professional. He said the furnace was on last leg. He replaced the bolt that had fallen out, which was making all the noise. Well, the next night the furnace went out completely. I called back to have them come out for a bid to replace and Jim came over with a standing space heater! I thought this was very kind and thoughtful. Had two other companies come out for bids but this company won me over! Hadley showed up next day, early morning and was here all day to put the new furnace in. He was a joy to have around all day, he worked very hard on this project as it was not an easy job! Not only did JIm worry about us being warm, part of our electricity went out and Jim had an electrician come out at 7 pm. Turns out we needed a new small breaker. That was replaced, easy fix. I can't say enough about Jim and his company! They are awesome and caring! Will call for future problems.

My furnace was not working and it was after working hours. Jim came out and fixed it. He was more than reasonable on the price for the repair. He looked at possible reasons for the issue. Everyone there was very friendly and courtesy and showed up when they said. Made me feel they appreciate their customers. Will use them in the future.

Jim Workman and His crew of hvac technicians are top notch! I have used them for emergency ac issues at my rental properties. They always try and get these as quick as possible and always do a great job. I am pretty sure they even offer a 24 hour service. They are reworking the air conditioning and furnaces in my commercial building dowtown right now and also doing the restaurant duct work in the building. They are the best heating & cooling company in Kansas City that I have ever used. Highly recommended. Jim is a 5 star person and so is his company! Best in KC hands down.

I would recommend this company to anyone! I have always used this company for any heating and cooling needs and have never been disappointed. Everyone is great to work with, from scheduling my appointments to speaking with the techs. I never have any troubles getting a hold of a live person for any help.

AV Heating and Cooling has always been on time, reasonably prices, and honest when it comes to their work. I never have to worry about the work not being done correctly because their reps are willing to break everything down for you to understand. I also don't need to worry about there tech just trying to upsell on anything, their always honest about the work that needs to be done. I will resume using their services going forward and refer them to anyone I know. I believe they're truly a great company to have in your home.

I have literally never made a review, positive or negative, but with the overwhelming good reviews (which is why I hired them) I wanted to share my experience so some other family doesn’t get ripped off and taken advantage of like we did. I paid $700 to have our furnace repaired by AV. The furnace never got repaired even after being out here 3 times (in their defense one of the times was our fault as we were not giving them accurate information), so we called a different company. The new company showed us an actual part was broken within 5 minutes. AV told us our furnace was “frozen due to extreme temps”. I emailed them and after I didn’t receive a response I also reported them to BBB, with again no response. I feel as if they took advantage of our lack of education surrounding our HVAC system. Would not recommend.

My mom and I have used this company for both heating and cooling issues. We had a wonderful technician by the name of Mr. Workman who not only repaired the problems but did a little teaching on the side. Will 100% be returning for any other heating or cooling problems.

Called AV heating and cooling around 4pm one evening to get a bid on a whole new heating and cooling system and they were able to come within the hour to give us a bid. Not only did he do that but he helped explain everything in a way that I was able to understand exactly what we were getting. Did not push anything extra on us, only what we asked for. And then they went above and beyond and installed our whole new system the very next day so that we'd have heat. Amazing customer service, great and helping with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need.

I highly recommend this company. I've been with them for 10 years when they installed a new AC and Furnace. I'll have them out every couple years for maintenance. They don't try to upsell on something I don't need. If there is something I may not need, they are upfront in saying that maybe in a couple years I may need such-and-such replaced but not now. Recently I had an issue where water was dripping down the sides where the seams are all taped up. The guy actually told me he could save me a few bucks on a call and had me do a simple fix, which was the overflow tube and drain pain being clogged. Problem solved.

I have not had any problems with them and they are always on-time within their window. They do take credit card, but there is a fee for that, so I just breakout my rarely used checkbook and write a check.

Also, they give a 10% military discount, so someone like me who was in the Marine Corps nearly 30 years ago really appreciates that.

Contacted AV Heating and cooling on a Sunday. My AC had been out since the day before. Even though they were extremely busy they fit me in and arrived earlier than they had told me. They fixed the problem immediately, they cleaned up their mess, they are extremely reasonable and reliable.
Today they are installing a new furnace for me. I was hesitant to ask questions about the product that they were installing but Jim the owner answered all of my questions even though he was on another job. He felt it important to take the time to explain to me all the in and outs of the installation.
I could not be more pleased with the service, their professionalism and courtesy. Jim's company is now my go to people when I need heating and cooling issues and maintenance. So happy I went with them.

Jim did a great job as a salesman and technician. He got me a good deal on an Amana AC unit with a lifetime compressor warranty. The company also gave me a great military discount. When we had a glitch with the new system, Jim came right out and fixed it right away. The office also answers the phone 24-7 and gets messages to the Techs right away. As a Certified Professional Inspector for homes, I will recommend them for my Clients too. Thanks for a job well done!

I highly recommend Jim and AV Heating and Cooling LLC. They are competent and very thorough with both routine maintenance services and needed repairs. They did an awesome job with my HVAC replacement installation and they are the only ones I trust to work on it.

I am very pleased with the work done to my home by AV heating and cooling and would highly recommend them to my family and friends. They did an excellent job at installing two new furnaces and an entire A/C system to my home. My house didn't have central air conditioning previously so they had to run new electrical cable from my electrical box to the back of the house. Also one of the furnaces we had installed was 90% efficient so it required extra work to install. I was happily surprised that the actual owner Jim gave us the bid and worked on portions of the job himself. They left the area cleaner than it was to begin with and answered all my questions no matter how silly.I appreciate that Jim and his men were very knowledgeable, honest and kind.

Jim Workman of AV Heating and Cooling showed up quicker than I expected, tracked down the problem with my central air conditioning and made the repairs very quickly. Jim's not only a professional that takes pride in his work but he's also a very personable individual. I must admit that the cost seemed a bit high but isn't that always the case? Everyone seems to want repairs done for free or dirt cheap. I was tickled to death with his expertise in tracking down my problem and getting me back up and running again on a very hot afternoon and it was on a very hot Saturday afternoon. Had a very good experience with AV Heating and Cooling. Setting an appointment was easy, especially considering that this is probably one of their busiest times of the year. He called and then came out even earlier than promised. He did the work professionally, and seems to be extremely competent to me. Fixed my AC right up, explained what he was doing, and was very nice. He noticed my Navy license plate frame, and gave me a Veteran's discount that I didn't even have to ask about. I highly recommend AV if you need service done! I am now a customer for life.

Diagnosed the issue quickly, explained it so that I could understand and executed the fix with a very acceptable time frame. I’ve NEVER experienced service at this level. Jim saved my behind! His answers to my questions were based on helping me, not over-selling me. His suggestions were sound and he left me with things that I can use for future plans and situations with my unit… should they ever arise. This morning I woke up to our home being 85 degrees and our AC not blowing cool air. I called multiple places and no one was able to come out same day to fix or even diagnose the issue! I called AV Heating and Cooling and spoke to Jim and to my surprise he came out to my home in less then an hour after calling! Jim diagnosed the problem and made multiple fixes to get our AC unit back up and running! Jim even went out of his way to help inform me about things regarding my home warranty. He was very knowledgeable and helped explain everything to me! I will highly recommend this company to anyone! Thank you so much! My house has already cooled off in less then three hours.

I always get nervous about bringing out a contractor to come assess repairs on my home, but Jim did a great job! He explained everything to me in a respectful manner, and was patient with us! Would recommend to people in the area for sure! I already plan on using their services again in the future!
