Definitely one of the best people I've EVER done business with!! My AC went out and my unit in the basement was making a super loud noise when running. Called Ted first thing in the morning, and he was able to come over the same day to check it out. He did his best to try fix it, and explained all of my options thoroughly, with no high pressure sales tactics. Since my system was old, and he gave me a bid I couldn't refuse (around half of what other major companies have said before!) I opted to go ahead and have the entire HVAC replaced. Everyone that he does business with was amazing as well. He guided me throughout the whole process--from getting a HELP loan with IPL and the City Credit Union, to Air Summit completing the install. From beginning to end, world class service. Honest, fair, great communication, knowledgeable and just a really nice man! Couldn't expect anything better. Will definitely recommend and send everyone his way!!

Ted, is one of the best human beings i have ever meet. Genuinely a great person. Service was the absolute best.

Ted has done work for me in the past in the dead of summer when my AC broke down. He came out immediately and did quality work. An earlier repairman told me I needed a new AC and Furnace; his company quoted me a price of $18,000. I decided to get a second opinion from Ted, and he said I did NOT need either. Both have been working fine ever since. Ted knows what he's doing and is honest, something that is hard to find these days.
So, when my stepson's furnace broke down recently, he called a local HVAC business told him he needed a new furnace and that his furnace was releasing carbon monoxide into the house, something that he took very seriously because he and his wife have a young daughter. The quote for the new furnace was $9,000. I told him to call Ted. Ted came out right away and fixed the problem; he said they didn't need a new furnace, and their old furnace is working fine now. If you have a problem and someone wants to sell you a new furnace or AC, call Ted and get a second opinion. Maybe you really do, but hou can rely on what Ted tells you.

I had a miss understanding about my appointment time. After a conversation the supervisor agreed to come directly out and do the work himself. When he arrived he did some testing a discerned that the unit being dirty was the only issue. He cleaned out the unit using the hose spending about 45 minutes and then did not charge me. It was a a wonderful experience in the end.

AV Heating and Cooling are the best. I have been using their services for many years. They installed a new Air Condition and Furnace. They are knowledgeable, respectful and they clean up after themselves. This company is awesome!

We have done business with them a few times. I would recommend them to others. Friendly crew, cleans up after the work is done.

These guys have helped me out of a jam twice now this year. First with my AC this summer and now with a surprise broken furnace after we returned from the holidays to a cold house. They came out right away both times and offered me several ways to meet my budget. These guys take the time to answer your questions and I feel like they can be trusted to do what's right, which is worth everything in business today.

My husband has had 7 furnaces and 3 central air units put into multiple rental properties from AV Heating and Cooling. Each time service was professional and prompt. They do excellent work. He has also had them service older units, and they always show up on time and fix the problem with very reasonable rates!

Im not very experienced in HVAC but am a good mechanic and was fortunate to have diagnosed a failed circuit board for my uncle when his A/C stopped working. I didn't know where to find a used replacement board. A.V. was the first and only HVAC service company I needed to visit. I was treated with genuine respect and courtesy.
Jim couldn't have been cooler. Not only did he seek out a used circuit board for me, he warrantied it, charged less than half of how much I expected, then sat down with me to answer some questions i had and even drew me a schematic! Unbelievable! It really was a great experience, very professional.

I just used AV Heating and Cooling for the 2nd time! I first called them in the dead of Summer 2011, out of the 5 companies I called, they were the only ones to keep their appointment. The work was quick and the price was very reasonable, I even received a military discount! So this winter, I didn't hesitate to call them again to come inspect my furnace, and received same day service. These guys take the time to ask the appropriate questions to determine the problem and then take the time to ensure you understand what was repaired and how to prevent future problems. We called to have them come out to inspect and noise and burning smell from our heating system. The owner came out that afternoon and found that we had a bad blower. Our unit was over 15 years old so we already new that it would need to be replaced soon. The owner Jim and Adam came out the next day and installed our new unit. Good prices and amazing service. Will be using them for all future needs.

AV heating and cooling is simply amazing! My air went out on a Monday night and they sent someone out Tuesday morning. The guys had my air back up and running within. 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend! I will also be keeping their number in case I need them again!!

Quick service and expertise are the two words I use to best describe my experience with AV Heating and Cooling. At 8:00 am I discovered that air conditioner was not working. I pride myself in being an all around handy-man. I checked my connections, my fuses, and tried to manually start the fan motor. All my efforts failed and I called AV. Within 1 hour a technician was at my front door and 20 minutes head had a bid and a fix. About 2 hours later I had cold air. The price was reasonable, but the biggest plus was the fact that he didn't mind if I watched and asked questions. His answers were plain enough language that I actually learned something. I would highly recommend for your next HVAC repair. They are a good buy.

Cheers to AV Heating and Cooling! Good customer service is sadly a rare thing these days but Jim and his folks were top notch, from the first call to the diagnostic visit to the repair the next day. Did I mention it was the first hot spell of the year? Great company and they've certainly earned my future business and my immediate gratitude.

I just had a new HV/AC and water heater installed by these guys and have to say that I am so extremely happy with the work by Steve the installer and the fact that Jim Workman, the owner, saved me a few thousand over a competitor. When I called A.V. (which by the way stands for AMERICAN VETERAN!!!) Heating and Cooling for a bid, he told me not only what was best for my needs, but also what I didn't need - such as what the other company was trying to up sale me on, which was very important to me since I am a single woman. He also made things easy to understand. And, having workmen (aka strangers) in my house, I also need to feel a level of comfort that I definitely got from Jim and Steve. I own an older home and I had problems with my furnace and my air conditioner about one year apart. I called AV heating and cooling and they came out and replaced both of them. Jim and his crew did a fantastic job and helped lower my gas and electric bills dramaticlly. It is a great company and the do quality work. I would recomend them to all. I had AV Heating and Cooling come out and give me a bid and was impressed in their company would highly recommend.. We had 2 other companies out to give us the same bids on the same work and decided to go with these guys. The sales guy had good communication on how the installation would go and answered all our questions along with concerns we had. They matched the other bids and once it was brought to our attention on what type of warranties and service we were going to receive by using them. We gave them the job they did all the warranty registration and a 1 year work grantee if anything fails or breaks in first year they will repair for free the product. They offered financing for us and worked hard to have the purchase meet our budget! They are properly licensed and insured which was important along with 24/7 service available. So for us it was a no-brainier.
I went with the Amana 80% furnace due to the outstanding warranties and have been very impressed so far. We feel like the furnace more evenly dispersed heat threw out the house.
Also I am already seeing the decrease in my gas bills from last year. At the end we feel like this was a good investment along with a smooth process that can be overwhelming at times. Put your heating and cooling needs in these guys hands and receive a turn-key Furnace too!

Never go to ANOTHER Heating and Cooling company in the KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA... AV heating and Cooling came out and gave me the best price out of anyone I went to for a complete system on my house!!! They showed up on time, even though it was raining outside and was able to get the job done in a timely manner, with the conditions they were given that day. Even got me a brand new thermostat, when I wasn't expecting to get one. Very respectful employees and very easy to get along with.
