We were just starting to gather info about replacing our windows, when we had our appointment with Charlie from Apex Energy Solutions. Charlie is professional, personable and knowledgable, and made the otherwise confusing and high-pressure pitches we sat through much clearer. We asked many questions -- all of which he answered (some multiple times) to ensure we understood the product as well as the process. Replacement windows are a big expenditure, and Charlie and Apex Energy Solutions have won our trust.

Awesome communication and excellent installation!
Entire process took two months exactly, from date of deposit to date of installation, which was actually quicker than expected. Price was fair for premium quality, I was kept up to date on scheduling and Mark, the installer, thoroughly explained his process and answered any concerns I had in a friendly manner. These windows not only look great with clean lines and the surrounding wrap frame, but I can already tell a difference in noise reduction and temperature from my old Simonton windows. Will definitely be ordering more Insignia windows from Apex. Thanks!!

Brandin from Apex was terrific to work with. He kept me updated and was very responsive from first inquiry to installation. The team that installed the windows in our condo was so conscientious and polite. They tried so hard to keep disruption from install to a minimum. The end result is beautiful! The windows look so great and I can't believe how quiet it is in here now! We used to hear traffic and the geese squawking in a nearby pond with the windows closed. Now we don't hear a THING! Amazing. We are super pleased and recommend Apex completely!

Charlie’s team was phenomenal- from bid to install, every step of the process was seamless. The day of install, the team showed up and cranked it out. The triple paned windows are beautiful and cleanup was minimal. I highly recommend!

I am so happy I found Apex Energy solutions to recently replace my original steel windows. From the initial estimate to the final install, everything was handled professionally. They showed up when they said they would, explained the process clearly, and didn’t try to upsell us. The windows are high quality triple pane and the install guy did an excellent job—clean, efficient, and courteous. It’s nice to find a local company you can actually trust.

Tyler came out the same day we called and gave us a bid. He was prompt and polite. The work included removing a large amount of sod and bringing in premium compost topsoil to fill in where the sod was removed for gardens. Tyler and Matthew worked continuously all day to complete the project. When they were done they made sure the entire area was cleaned up. The work was done beyond our satisfaction and we would use them again. The price was reasonable and we would recommend them to anyone.

Aaron did a fantastic job on our home renovation and landscaping. Inside and out this was conducted with care.

Vertex Construction did an amazing job and made it possible to complete our build despite many obstacles. Aaron was professional, attentive to detail, and truly cared about our project. He saw it through until the very end. The building is beautiful and has come to life because of him!

Aaron Buchanan with Vertex Construction is the absolute best. Long story short we had a contractor run off with our money and on a multi million dollar office building, the outlook was grim. It goes without saying this could have been an absolute disaster but we met Aaron and by his desire to help and his awesome track record for getting projects completed we moved forward and without a doubt he saved our project. He pulled the project back together and we are now within a few weeks of a final inspection. Vertex construction and Aaron Buchanan absolutely saved our building and our business. Aaron has gone to bat for us against the city and subcontractors and has always had our best interest in mind. He truly cares about his customers and communicates very well which is extremely rare these days. If you need a contractor please don’t look any further. Vertex Construction is far and away the best.

I had them contract out windows, hardy board siding and paint for new siding. Nick Self, owner, came out and bid the job. Never could contact him much after that even though we took them on to do the work. He had his dad put up with my complaints. Imagine that!! They contracted out the windows and sliding door. We had no issues with the work the window people did. Had to replace both sides of new sliding door due to shade inside pane contraption not working right but was done timely. The screens needed trimmed better plus some of the tubing used to hold screens in place needed adjusted. Brianne was subcontractor for the windows and handled my complaint professionally and actually did the trimming of the screens and adjusted tubing.
The subcontractors used for the siding was a roofing company employees?? Clueless how it was agreed upon how the siding was supposed to be applied without needing trim on very seam. Originally told Nick no trim and he said no problem we can use trim coil. During tear off electrician they called out cut wiring I pointed out was dead but took upon himself to decide my cable carrying my internet was not live! Idiot!! I had to call internet company to splice together with new coax to reconnect my internet which I was unaware was not working until electricity was back on after dropping line to the box and re attaching to new siding and had chance to check everything. Good thing that was no charge to fix!! By then electrician was long gone. The siding crew had big gaps on seams at first until I told them installing incorrectly. They ripped off what they started on and re installed new boarding. Good thing I’m retired cause I was basically project manager catching mistakes made. On the North wall, siding crew nailed into wiring and marked where elect. box was incorrectly. Phil Self started saying not responsible until I said the whole side of house was not electrified before they hit the wire and an attorney can be easily called. They found the nail that hit my stove wire and fixed issue. When working on tear off they left my attic space open too long blowing out a lot of blown in insulation I ended up having to rake up plus found lots of nails and some screws they never got picked up. They did good job on North side on clean up. They kept saying boss was hurrying them which creates mistakes like hitting live wires!! DUH!! The crew were Spanish speaking and communication with them was pretty frustrating. Then the subcontracted painter said I was nit picking cause I pointed out over spray on practically every new window plus sliding door and color popping through white trim from not enough coats of paint to cover that overspray plus cause I complained about noticing the spray application was obviously not done evenly. He threaten to walk off a job I was paying over $10,000 for after pointing out to him and his boss the obvious uneven applications. Tried saying lighting board design and all kinds of stuff to keep from doing what I asked. I said I don’t threaten people, BUT before you threaten like that, consider me calling my attorney. That shut them up and they completed the stuff I requested needed attention. The decorative stone application was done very well by those subcontractors.

I would never recommend this contractor to my worst enemy. They may be a good roofing company according to reviews but I’d never use them for anything!!!!
The job is a lifetime warranty so let’s see how well they stand by work done if I have issues down the road with siding or paint. My concerns about warranty on windows are zero cause Brianne is a standup guy. I think Phil Self tries to be a standup guy. I’m very well versed in the hardware field plus very mechanically inclined and know just enough to know how things are supposed to be done.
I gave 3 only cause the window guy Brianne did his part correctly plus the stone work. Otherwise ZERO STARS!! The window and stone crew deserve 5 stars. The guy they sent out to fix the issues siding crew did deserves 5 stars too.

Noticed a leak in the ceiling after a recent storm. Nick was able to come out that week and their team sealed it up with no issues since.

At my kid's place in Overland Park, we found a few shingles missing after some heavy wind. Above All's team came out the following day and took care of it before it turned into something bigger.

We had a section of shingles lifting near the ridge. Nick's guys secured them and reinforced the area. Holding up well since.
