Tezuka S serviced my furnace this past Monday and did a great job. Very thorough, professional and polite. He gave me a overview of his findings, including a photo of the blower fan that has accumulated some dust. I'll clean that on my upcoming filter change. The office staff is cordial and technicians are always professional and knowledgeable. My only complaint with First Mate is their scheduling. On more than one occasion, I have been asked to change an appointment time or date. Being retired, I'm able to do so but it is an inconvenience.

Tez was very professional and knowledgeable. After checking my system out, he gave me several options and explained the benefits of each. I appreciated the time he took to explain the HVAC to me in layman‘s terms!! I appreciated Feeling informed enough to make the decisions. Thank you, Tez

Alonzo was very polite and friendly. Started working within minutes after he arrived. Seemed to be very knowledgeable. Answered all our questions. We will ask for Alonzo for our next service call.

Tez S. Came out to our house yesterday. I specially request him from First Mat heating and cooling because he is very polite and know a lot and is honest. He's been to our old home four times. Our new home has an electric a/c and furnace. We noticed when we moved in that it had not been serviced right due to the thick white dust on everything plus the filter my husband removed when we moved in 2 weeks ago was coated. We also knew because the outside unit had a cage built around it that was bolted down. That meant it couldn't have been regularly serviced. Without telling Tez this he greeted me kindly and went to work. He brought me pictures to look at of our unit and listed out the problems. He had all the ones we noticed and a few we didn't the unit runs on the old freon which is $1000 a pound and due to the cage he couldn't tell if it needed it or not because he couldn't check the amount written on the unit. A part inside the house was running way below standards and could give out any day. Needless to say we are looking at a new unit that is gas so it will be cheaper to run and will have a ten year warrantee. At our old house he just maintained our system. This time we asked for a consult for a new unit. I trust him. He also knows I can't walk far so it's nice that he shows me pictures and is good at explaining things .

Abby did a great job fixing our furnace issue and even showed us how to clean the flame sensor so we can do it in the future. Great Job!!! Thank you.

We were very happy with our service from First Mate Heating & Cooling to fix our furnace problem. The technician Justin was there in less than an hour. He was very courteous and quickly found and fixed the problem. The service was reasonably priced as well.

Great service. Responsive and quick. Tech detailed his service and how it would improve our system in layman’s terms. He needed to run back to the shop for something; he was there in back in 30 minutes.

David, the technician, was polite, knowledgeable and informative. Communicated clearly the options and actions needed to service my hvac. After servicing the hvac earlier in the day I encountered an issue with the hvac. He responded after hours and resolved the issue with in minutes!! Great service great employee!!!! Thank you David!

David S came this morning to perform my annual furnace check. He is a knowledgeable, courteous young man. As he was performing the maintenance he discovered, what could have been, a dangerous issue. He was able to skillfully correct the problem. David is definitely an asset to First Mate, and the customers he serves.

Excellent timely service. They showed up when they said they would, kept me informed of where they were at. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and discuss next steps. In my case, it will be a warranty replacement from the manufacturer, nothing that could be fixed, has to be replaced. Priced very affordable. Thank you!

First Mate Heating & Cooling has always treated us well and sent out the best, and most importantly, honest technicians for general service and maintenance. David S was our technician today and provided all the insight we needed on how our water heater was doing along with offering a look at our furnace. He was prompt and explained everything in a way that let us know how to be best proactive with future service. A+

I had my maintenance done today by Abby F and as always she was very efficient in checking the system outside and inside. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a trustworthy company to install and maintenance of a heating and cooling system. They are all very helpful whenever I have questions or need my system checked.

First Mate has great technicians that are fast, professional, and respectable. They’ve helped me out a few times for my old furnace and been able to get it up and running quickly. They will be my first option anytime I have an issue!

My furnace went out during the snow storm and I was gonna try and brave it out but I caved and called in a professional around 8 pm. I’m glad I did! David came out to me in Holden despite the weather and fixed my igniter very quickly. He even showed me the part that went bad so I know what exactly happened. I’m a first time homeowner so navigating these things is very stressful but it didn’t feel stressful at all when he came and saved the day for me and my cats. It all came out to around ~$300 for the fix, which I think is pretty good considering I expecting to pay way more and maybe even my future firstborn compared to other companies I called for a quote.

Justin was very helpful and efficient. I called with a potential emergency before a very cold spell, and he was fixing my issue within 2 hours! Justin was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I would recommend First Mate to anyone needing prompt, reliable and pleasant service. Ashley in the office is fantastic too!
