Eric from Repair King is simply amazing! He was professional yet chatty and friendly, knowledgable about a huge range of products, and very efficient. He was a delight to talk to and it was fun to see him work! Would definitely contact again for future repairs.

Our ice maker went out and was under warranty. After another company failed to repair it when a claim was placed in July, our warranty company notified Repair King STL on September 30th. We were able to call them after they failed to reach out in the time period our warranty company asks vendors to communicate with customers. They originally sent out an older gentleman who was kind and considerate as he diagnosed our issue. Now the wait . . . . Multiple phone calls to Repair King until finally, we hear from our warranty company that parts were not even ordered by Repair King until December 8th. Because of the lack of urgency and timeliness on Repair King STL I had to make several phone calls inquiring about our parts. I will say the lady who works in the office is very professional and courteous on the home. The appointment was set up for last Wednesday, and the repairman no-showed. I called Wednesday evening and texted . . no response, phone call Thursday . . . no response. . . Phone call Friday . . . . no response. Instead, the guy did grace us with his presence by showing up unannounced on Friday afternoon. In all honesty, the repairman seemed like a gentle giant and we had a good conversation about area sports. The repairman took one look and said he didn't know how to fix it and would bring back another guy on Monday who knows what he is doing. Monday the same guy shows up and says no worries he watched a youtube video on how to fix it. The same refrigerator he moved with no issue on Friday now seems to be an issue. I came in from outside as he is using brute strength rocking it back and forth scratching the floor for 36+ inches. I tell him he is scratching the floor and he responds, "This F*&*^^ is heavy." I stayed calm and informed him he would need to call a supervisor. His response, "She is going to be p%^&ed" When asked for clarification, he stated, "your wife." Once he had the supervisor on the phone, the supervisor asks why he even moved the refrigerator since it is accessible without moving the refrigerator. He says he will call his insurance company the next day and will get back to the customer.
I received a call from the company the following days who said we signed a waiver, and it protects them from the customer seeking any damages. He stated because there was previous damage to the floor (one chip), which I was transparent about, it is considered secondary damage. He states that if it had been a wall or the repairman knocked things off the counter, he would have been responsible. In the end, I gave Eric White, owner of Repair King STL, an invitation to come to my home to see the damage for himself and he refused. He asked why I didn't just move the refrigerator and what I would have done. He also mentioned that the repairman was in training. Before I could complete my answer and tell him I would have used the rollers (commons sense), emptied more items out of the fridge to make it lighter, or removed the doors for accessibility, he just continuously interrupted me. He was only interested in saying no and had zero interest in seeking an amicable resolution. I am posting in hopes to protect others from a company that provides a service outside the range of professional manner or quality. I had a few people ask me why I chose this company. The fact is, I did not. The icemaker was covered under warranty, which resulted in the warranty company selecting Repair King STL. Very rarely do I feel I was completely wronged or treated unfairly, but this one leaves a sick feeling knowing someone was in a position to make this right and chose not to stand behind the quality of service they say they provide. See the issue here is that we did sign a release of liability. When you sign such documents you sign in good faith that the person requesting the signature will work in good faith to take great care not to damage your home. This was not the case and instead, Repair King STL acted in a careless manner with zero regard for our home. -
They charged me $129 just to tell me they had to order a part then 2 weeks later not only did I have to pay for the part they wanted me to pay for additional labor. So I asked them to sell me the part and they would not. I gave them money for absolutely nothing.

If I was able to give it negative stars I would.
This company was sent out through my mother's home Warranty Plan.
1. The "service man" was on his phone for at least ten minutes before ringing the doorbell
2. When showing him where the thermostat was, he proceeded to ask "why is it in the bedroom, that's stupid"
3. Then sighed when told the actually air conditioning set up was in the attic due to the architectural structure of the house (it's an older house so how it was put is out of our control)
The issue I am having is the repair man was there to repair, not do a survey as into why things are where they are and not to mention be rude! Needless to say, we put them out.
I called to make a complaint, all I got was " I am sorry and we will report"
Very unprofessional. Do better -
I find it suspicious that all the ratings are either a 5 or 1--nothing in between. Makes me wonder about the validity of the 5s. They were assigned to me through my home warranty company to look at y dishwasher and washing machine. The technician told me his boss said he can't work on stackable units because it's an access issue. In other words, they don't pull machines out of their spot in order to work on them. He determined that my dishwasher needed a water inlet valve. It had to be ordered and I waited a couple weeks for the part to come in. They called me to scheduled an appt. and didn't show up for it. When I called 30 minutes after the end of the appt. window, the owner said he was stuck on another job and also that he the office out my appt in the system wrong. He offered to come when he was done at that job, but I had taken off to wait for him and needed to get to work. Rescheduled for a Saturday--he didn't show up. The office called on Mon. said he was sick and didn't want to contaminate anyone. (he apparently didn't want to call anyone either). Rescheduled again, he showed up although I'm pretty sure he put into a time slot already taken. I asked what happened to him on Saturday, he didn't say anything about being sick, he said the appt. didn't transfer to his calendar and he was at home with his wife. Then hit me with "everyone makes mistakes". He came in with a part for the washing machine (that they said they couldn't move). Went back outside to get part for dishwasher and said it had the wrong connection on the end and he could go to Home Depot and get the right connection if I had time to wait 20 minutes. I said ok. while putting everything back together, the office called and on speaker phone, I heard her say that another client needed to know what time he was coming b/c she needed to go to work. He said, "tell her I'll be there in 30 minutes." Never mind just telling me he's about to go to home depot and fix my stuff. As soon as he hung up, suddenly my dishwasher didn't need that part, it needed a completely different part that the home warranty company would have to order and he was going to replace another part as well. While he was there, he also informed that he tells his new technicians to lie about how long they've been doing this type of work. I asked if he goes on jobs with his new techs, he said for 2 weeks max because he doesn't have time and if they mess up or misdiagnose, they start getting it right once they get yelled at enough by the customers. A couple weeks later, the initial tech came out to put in the control board they I suddenly "needed". It didn't work. He goes out to call his boss, comes back in and says I need the water inlet valve and they would need to order it. I said you already ordered, Eric had it with him last time but said it had the wrong shaped connector on the end. Then he says he recommends I get a new dishwasher because the control board should have fixed the problem and it didn't. He would let the home warranty company know. Two months from my first appt., the office calls and says they have my part can they come by that afternoon to install. WHAT PART??? I WAS TOLD I NEED A NEW DISHWASHER! She put me hold spoke to the owner, came back and said the boss would send the request to the home warranty company. I asked again what part were they trying to come install that day and she said she made a mistake. I know I'm leaving out some other nonsense, but you get the gist. Repair King STL is a hot mess! Everyone was so polite and nice, but do not be fooled--saying "yes ma'am" every other sentence does not mean the business is good. And that owner, Eric, talks a good game and I really think he thought I was buying into what he was trying to sell. I was just trying not to go off on anyone. If you think I made this long, detailed review up--just read the other ones. Not the 5-star ratings, read the other ones.

Both techs I met were nice enough people, but it took them nearly four months to *not* fix my dishwasher. We went through nearly seven different cycles of "oh, we ordered the wrong part", until we eventually got tired of not having a dishwasher and simply purchased a new one.
In addition, in the process of uninstalling my dishwasher to prepare for the new one's arrival, I discovered that the last time first tech was out, he didn't put everything back together completely, which made it almost impossible to remove the dishwasher as the bottom plate loose and was wedged against the ground, and I found a lot of various bits and bobs that were not re-screwed in. I only assume he left them unfinished to make his next trip easier, but it made my life exceedingly difficult.
Nice people, but I do not think I will be utilizing them again -

Repair King STL provided outstanding appliance repair and HVAC service. They responded quickly, arrived on time, and fixed my refrigerator the same day. The technician was very knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. Their pricing was fair and there were no surprises.
