Electrical reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

Fair warning, we called for some electrical work and they had us on schedule for 11 am the following day. Technician called and was upset he could not get here the way he wanted due to a 10 min detour for road construction. Did not hear for a hour and a half called the office office admin told me every day was a new day there and the technician was mad so he was not going to show up. Lots of excuses no solutions.

I called Fielder Electric to schedule a service. Luckily my electrical problem resolved itself with a fresh battery. LOL. Fielder upgraded a replaced the electric and fuse box at my residence a few years ago, as well as installing several new electric and fans throughout the house. Fielder came highly recommended by my general contractor, and I wasn't sorry. The service was on time and on schedule, that's why they were my first call when this non-issue surfaced. The fact the Fielder Electric is a well established, well reviewed, family owned company is icing on the cake! 5 stars!

Went with Fielder Electric for a large electric repair in regards to knob and tube wiring. They were great gave me what I needed and finished it all up in one day. I think a guy named Dakotah came out to my house but he was awesome. I highly recommend to anybody!

On a Friday, we asked Fielder to give us an estimate for several small jobs around our home. We specifically asked to have the estimate done the following Friday when our son-in-law, a long-distance trucker would be home as he is sometimes on the road for weeks at a time. The office person said that Friday would work and that she would talk to the "Master Electrician" who would call Monday to finalize the arrangements.
When I got no call, I called back on Wednesday, I was told that the "Master Electrician" was busy on Friday. When I asked why I had not been phoned on Monday, she said that the "Master Electrician" had "reached out." My phone did not show any missed calls nor did it contain a voice mail. He had certainly not "reached out" in any appropriate business-like way.
The office woman was rude and sneered at our desire to have our son-in-law present for electrician's estimate visit. So we scheduled the appointment for a day when he was unavailable.
The electrician was ten minutes late, when my daughter came to the door, he said, "I almost left," as if he were the inconvenienced party. No one had called to confirm his visit nor did he let us know that he would be late. The estimate did not break down the cost per job, but just had a total for all the work to be done. Would not recommend under any circumstances.
The worst part is, we got these guys from our parish bulletin. I will be telling Father about this experience, as I would not want any of our elderly parishoners, especially, to be treated this way. -
We had a great experience with Fielder. Matt came to the house and listened to our needs. He then looked at everything and we chatted like buddies for a little while. A couple of days later, we received the quote for the cost of the project. After gathering a few more quotes from other companies, I called Matt and asked his advice and thoughts about not only his bid but also asked him about some of the other ideas that other companies had. He was very honest and respectful of me. He took the time to educate me on the process of what needed to be done to properly finish our project. My wife and I felt very comfortable with his responses and decided to hire him to complete the project.
We scheduled the job for a couple of weeks later. Neither of us were home when the project was being completed, but I did make it home right at the end, as the gentleman was cleaning up. He was so polite, respectful of our property, and took his job very seriously. He was explaining to me that he approaches every job as though he were doing it for his family at his home. I appreciate that very much. He cleaned up very thoroughly, did not cuts any corners in the work, and left our house in better shape than when he arrived.
We would definitely hire Fielder Electric again to do any electrical work in the future. We trust Matt and his team completely and are honored and blessed to have found them. -
DO NOT USE FIELDER ELECTRIC. Original bid around $2,000. Took off time consuming requests, added less time consuming requests, instead of receiving a credit, I received a bill for $1,200 more. Never completely finished work although worker promised to do so. Sad customer service for sure.

I’m sorry to give one star like this but never have I been talked to like that. If you don’t like your job find something else. The customer facing experience is atrocious.

Called Fielder on a Friday to set up service. I was told they would call back. I checked back at 3pm to check status and was told they callback the next business day which was Monday to let me know if they could book my service. Their attitude was surly. I called a different company and booked the service in 10 minutes immediately received an email with confirmation. This service company was rated 3 plus stars better on all formats. I guess poor ratings are deserved.

I strongly recommend you not to use this company, Fielder Elec. Three different guys from this company came to my house over 3 months with multiple visits to repair a loss of part of my house power outage. They could not find the cause but charged me about $1250. I had to hire another company, Hoffman Brothers, which sent just one person who found the cause and fixed it for 2 hours, just one visit at a fraction of the cost. Not only thye cost but also inconvenience I had to endure with no power over 3 months. I appealed the case to the company, but Fielder Elec demanded to pay all of it (they charged the late pay fee too). They also charge a new service fee every visit, even though they could not finish the same repair work and had to come back. I filed this to BBB Missouri office and you can find more detail on the case and the company's insensitive responses.

DO NOT USE FIELDER. Electrician was extremely rude. Proceeded to severely damaged bathroom ceiling when installing a fan.
Note, no cutting was needed. He just needed to slide it into place. When he finished the work he ran downstairs and left really fast before we had a chance to see the work. I called and talked to their office to tell them about the damage and they said that they would get back with me. They never called back even after I left several messages. I have now had to hire another contractor to repair the Damage. -
Called at 7am and was told I would get a call back. At 2:30 pm I called back and was told the same thing . Kinda get the impression that don’t give a dam! Not sure where they got their rating but I am not impressed! Not a good way to impress a customer!

These guys did a lot of work for me over the span of two days. They were professional, knowledgeable, and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend them to everybody!

Great experience with fielder electric. Showed up on time, work looks great and all done at a reasonable price. Will use in the future if needed.

I had high hopes for this company, as everyone I interacted with was professional and competent in their individual roles. However, the lack of coordination among their team led to a frustrating and drawn-out experience.
Communication was poor, and I had to relentlessly follow up just to get work scheduled and completed. A critical three-day job in mid-November stretched into mid-December, leaving us without electricity in much of the upstairs when we moved in. When the work wasn’t completed by the third day, I received no updates, and the team simply stopped showing up. Prior to putting pressure on them to coordinate the work properly, they unfairly placed the burden of scheduling and communication on the electrician himself—whose job should not be customer service or overall project management. He seemed overloaded, and while I felt bad for him, he was my only point of contact. It was only after applying immense pressure on the office and management staff that I was finally assigned someone to manage the process.
A second, much smaller job, originally scheduled for mid-November, wasn’t completed until the end of March. Meanwhile, other local electricians I hired for separate work handled their projects with efficiency, proactive communication, and clear project management—making this experience feel even worse by comparison. While the individual team members were skilled, the overall service and organization left much to be desired. I cannot recommend them based on my experience. -
Lady on the phone had a terrible attitude. Very hard to talk to someone like that, no wonder they have 3.3 stars as of today. Clearly they don't really care about their public view of their company. If I were to give them a recommendation, I would call them and act as a customer to just see how bad she is.

They replaced our electric panel for our house after we found out ours had been getting water in it. They were the lowest quote, sent out an electrician and an apprentice to do the work so I was able to add on a few small projects while they were here and did a great job. I'll be calling them again in the future.
-
Leonard did an awesome job wiring my panel. Friendly, knowledgeable and left the work area clean.
