Collins was so easy to work with! We called and had a proposal same day on a Monday, work was complete on Wednesday and permit approved by the city on Friday. It could not have gone more smoothly. Office staff, owner and everyone I met and spoke to was great. Highly highly recommend!

Lady at the front desk on the second floor was very short and very rude, will not be returning here again. She treated a guy with a disability like GARBAGE, and was also very short with me as well.

They are excellent electricians! I highly recommend them. They are prompt, extremely fair and I have extraordinary confidence in what they tell me.

They use guys that can't speak English! They also don't clean up very well after themselves! They also wiggle out of the damage they do to walls on the other side of their work.

They were recommended and I am happy with the results. They told me how to do some of the DYI electrical things I was doing and even helped with a electric socket I wasn't even quoted for.

If their electrical skills are as bad and reckless as their drivers I'd stay away from this company. They almost ran me off the road a few times and well over exceeded normal speed limits (90+ in a 60) in traffic. Not a safe way to run a business. Especially since the company name is on the van. No electric emergency is more important than the safety of others lives you come into contact with in public transit.

I had Gardner come out to quote a job I expected to be about $800. The tech could have very easily done the work (which actually would have ballooned out to about $1500 because of my older home). Instead, he gave me his honest view of the situation - it was not required to pass my home inspection. I saved hundreds of dollars, if not over a thousand. Granted, Gardner didn't get work from me that day. But their honesty and integrity blew me away. It's very rare that you find companies willing to be this honest, especially when it means they aren't putting the tech to work on your particular job that day. But I have already highly recommended Gardner to friends as well as my realtor (who really values this kind of good info to pass on to other clients). The next time I need any type of electrical work, I'll call Gardner again without hesitation. Very, very highly recommended!

We recommend Gardner Electrical Services most highly. From John's response to my request for proposal, to meeting with Len to review what we wanted done and getting a bid, to Ken and Jack doing the work, it's been a great experience.

Len offered his insight & suggestions, and answered our questions thoroughly. John was flexible with scheduling aroubd other work being done, and job changes prior to the work, and Ken & Jack were very professional and skilled in doing the work conscientiously. The job was complete rewire of our house - replacing old knob-&-tube with updated modern wiring. They rewired switches and lighting fixtures & ceiling fans, as well as adding outlets - more than doubling the number on our main floor and basement (approximately 2500 sq ft, not including attic).

It was a huge job that other electrical companies either declined or bid exorbitantly. Gardner was fair and reasonable, detailed, attentive and conscientious.

It can get a bit odd and stressful to have contractors in your house for 6 days, and I imagine Ken and Jack felt a bit akward working all day while we were home. But, they were always professional and friendly and highly skilled. They even accommodated a last-day addition to the work, which I realized was best to do as part of this work.

We are COMPLETELY satisfied and happy with the results and the entire process and experience. We expect to call Gardner Electrical Services again, as we continue to renovate our 110-year old home.

One of the better, if not best electrical services company in St.Louis. Positive attitude, creative solutions for problems where needed, prompt, courteous, and will to try to work out a fiscally manageable solution if possible. We've used them several time , they stand by their work......

Fielder provided great service. The electrician was on-time, gave me the best options for my repairs, actually suggesting that I NOT do what was most expensive. The job was completed on time and without problem.

They came out and gave us a competitive bid and we booked the work. They were professional and on time. Very happy. They installed a 30 amp service to the front of the house. Looks awesome.

We asked for the company to come out and so a simple project. First of all the estimator didn't check to see if power was available in one location. Then the staff who came out decided that it was too complicated and could not do the project. But before he left damaged one of our working lights. Then they had the audacity to bill us for his time. Not recommended!

Wouldn't go with this place. Spent several hundred only to have our electric go out again 2 weeks later. Fielder said they couldn't figure out the problem without opening up the walls. Called Schaeffer Electric and they had it all fixed in 3 hours and no holes in our walls. Go with Schaeffer!

I’m updating all my ceiling fixtures and they came out and replaced them. They were professional and very reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

All of the work done on our new home was timely and professional. All of the guys made sure we understood what was going on and made sure our home was safe! Technician arrived on time and did a first rate, professional job as promised. He was thorough, knowledgable, and efficient. The office staff was helpful and patient in answering questions and troubleshooting problems. Rate was reasonable. Overall a very good experience. Direct contact with the staffers without navigating different extensions or phone trees, how refreshing -

BEWARE: This company charges hidden fees and over bills hours relative to the amount of time worked. The company did not disclose and added $85 “residential trip charges” to two separate jobs that we had performed within a few days. In addition, they substantially overcharged us for the amount of hours actually worked (we timed the men who showed up on each job).

When we inquired about these issues, the office staff treated us terribly and threatened us with liens and interest. Further they insulted our intelligence and exclaimed: “you’re not smart enough to understand how we bill” (my wife and I both have Master’s degrees).

I wrote a personal letter to the ceo as a result of these alarming and terribly unprofessional issues. No response.

Please save your money and dignity. I sincerely hope this company goes out of business.
