I called with a serious safety concern regarding my electrical service. Tom answered and was able to have a service team over to my house same day. They replaced the service entrance. The work was high quality with everything being beautifully run in conduit for safety and durability. Excellent.

Exceptionally poor communication skills. Not only did the electrician fail to show up during the scheduled window, but AVS made no effort whatsoever to inform me of this.

We called with only some outlets not working and he knew how to solve our problems. The serviceman was extremely professional and helpful. He answered all the questions we had and walked us through on what he was going to do. Recommended!!

Greg and his crew installed a generator at my home, and did a meticulous job of it. He started on time and finished as scheduled. All inspections passed with flying colors. Left the job site super clean. Recommend him highly!

I had 2 outlets that stopped working. The tech, who was friendly enough, asked over the phone whether or not I had checked all the GFI outlets in the house, which I had. When he arrived, he spent 15-20 minutes checkin the GFI outlets, which I already told him were not tripped. He eventually identified a fault in junction box and fixed it without telling me how much it would cost. Little if any materials were needed. He was on the job for less than 90 minutes total. I had to leave for another appointment has he was wrapping up, so I didn't have time to question the $397 invoice he gave me. I paid it on the spot. This $397 did not include the standard $125 service call fee that was only waived because I agreed to purchase a $150 membership. As it dawned on me that this 90 minute service call had cost me $547 ($365 per hour), I called the next day to request an itemized invoice. The person I spoke to assured me a manager would call me back. Nobody returned my call, so I called back 5 days later. The person on the phone assured me a manager would call me back within 10 minutes. Never happened. 7 days later I called again, explaining this was my 3rd time doing so. Still no call back. 2 days later I finally connected with a manager after 4 attempts. When I asked how they arrived at such a high price, he told me they calculate their charge based on the job and not the amount of time it takes and that they had already paid the technician and could do nothing about it. He assured me "this will never happen again." When I asked him what that meant, he had no answer. I will not use this company again.

I've used services twice in the last few months and each time they have been responsive, easy to work with and very diligent. The last time I needed a new outlet and a security light installed. Outstanding work, great attitude and fairly priced. I would definitely recommend them.

One of the best experiences with an electrician i have ever had. The technician arrived on time and set to work immediately completing the work as requested at the price agreed upon.I had him come on another occasion to replace a blown out fuse.His work is excellent and I would definitely recommend him.

Greg’s team performed some upgrades to our existing electrical and took care of some dangling wires. They arrived soon after we called, assessed the problem, and provided a very accurate quote. Update: I just found out that AVS is owned by Premium Home Service, which is a scam company that owns several fake business names. Please look up Premium Home Service on BBB--all of their reviews say they are a scam. Previous review: I'm sad to report that I have had a terrible experience with AVS -- Frank damaged an electrical wire that powers my kitchen and basement lights, as well as the garage, and AVS has yet to send anyone to repair the damage. To explain: I asked AVS to bury an exposed wire I discovered after demolishing a platform deck. While Frank was burying the wire, I noticed the kitchen lights had gone off. I didn't think much of this, as I had given him access to my basement; I assumed he had turned off the power. After he left, I realized the power was still off; I called Frank, who told me he had never touched the power. I have had several phone calls with various individuals at AVS (Frank was actually quite diligent in trying to put me in touch with the correct people). When one of the representatives I spoke with assumed I would be paying to have someone come out, he readily suggested scheduling someone that afternoon; when I told him I would not pay for the company to fix their own mistake, he said someone would call me back. This happened several times, and when an individual did call me, she said a worker had quit and it would take two weeks to a month to schedule someone to come out. I waited a few days and called again several times to see if they had hired someone new, but no one answered my calls, and there was no voicemail. I do feel bad if they genuinely did have someone quit, but more communication on their part would be helpful!

AVS Electrical Services is an excellent contractor to deal with. Their team is always on time and very professional. They clearly knew his job and completed the work efficiently and with high quality. They are very knowledgeable and never disappoint. I will not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone in need of electrical services.

Hestor Electrical Services charge $150 just to show up and then call it a "service call" charge. The $150 includes "no service".

There are many electricians in St Louis who include "service" in the "service call" charge.
I called Brda Electric in Fenton and they charge $125 and include 1/2 hour of "service". Brda Electric was very friendly and helpful.

Do not use this company!!! I was scheduled for a technician to come out at 10am. I called at 10:20 to see where they were. I was told they were busy on a commercial job and would be for the next 3 days. They said there were no other technicians available.

When I asked for them to look for any other options instead of rescheduling me to 3 days later the women on the phone hung up on me. It took another 10 minutes to get someone else on the phone who could cancel and refund my 129 dollars they required up front.

It would be nice if they didn’t schedule you for unavailable times, and called you to reschedule ahead of time.

I had five light fixtures that I needed replacement to update my home. These folks came out and their operators were admirable communicators and the price of labor/materials was substantially lower than I was quoted by other electricians. The work was done the same. I couldn’t ask for better services!

We have been using Hestor Electrical Services for several years. Their electrician has done everything from installing ceiling fans to major electrical updates. He is knowledgeable and reliable. The prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend him.

Do not use this company! I work in an area child care center and we had them reconnect a garbage disposal and put in an outlet in our kitchen island. Neither worked! They came back out and fixed the outlet. The workman was angry and said it wasn't his fault, then came and apologized when he realized it was. He was unwilling to fix the garbage disposal saying it needed a plumber. We called a plumber out, and he said it was truly electrical. I called Hestor's 7 times and each time they apologized and said they were going to escalate the call. No one ever came out. I finally had to file a BBB complaint, of which Hestor's ignored.

Hestor Electrical Services did a great job replacing our circuit breaker box, adding a couple of dedicated lines and GFI outlets. Very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Would not hesitate to recommend their Services!!!
