I called Total Comfort (Brian) to repair my AC condenser unit yesterday.. he arrived on time and had the unit repaired in about 1/2 hr. He replaced a capacitor.. I was a bit shocked at the replacement's cost at $245 but he said it had a 5yr warranty and they were expensive, Total bill for less than 1 hr was $330. I just looked up the capacitor and they sell for $80 at HD... he's more than likely paying $50, IMHO that is an excessive markup and I feel a bit taken... would I use Total Comfort in the future.... yes ... but I do feel a bit milked! Seems hard these days to find a company that doesn't try to milk you for every red cent :( I knocked a star off for the excessive parts markup, and hopefully they read this and give the next customer a break. More than likely anyone you call will do the same thing and he was here quickly and got the job done.

Two HVAC companies came in with their fancy uniforms - took a quick look around the house and then slapped down huge quotes to fix our air conditioning.

Brian and his guys came in - looked at the situation, gave us two or three different options, and we ended up with something that works just perfectly - for much less money.

His work has lasted for years - and we have never been happier with our air-conditioning.

If you want a real professional who cannot only tear down these air conditioning units and build them up by hand - but somebody who really wants to make you happy and comfortable - called Brian.

Or you will just be wasting money on some company's fancy uniforms.

I had Brian come and put some coolant in my AC last summer, and exactly 1 year later it needed it again. Brian came out and looked at it, and determined the A Coil was leaking the coolant. He was able to get a replacement A Coil under Warranty, and came out and replaced the old one. He's very friendly and personable, and was more than happy to educate me regarding the system throughout the process. I wish more Service folks were like Brian.

I had an issue with my ac unit this weekend and called the 24 hour line. It was a silly mistake of me trying to change my own thermostat and causing the control board to stop working. Brian called me back less than 30 min later to help figure out what could be wrong. He gave me advice on what to try before needing him to come assist. He followed up with me and made sure my system was working the next day. I would recommend this company and especially Brian to anyone. He was kind, helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. On a 90+ degree day, it was appreciated.
