I have used Averill for over 10 years. They do the annual service on my furnace and AC, and they have installed a new high efficiency furnace, air cleaner, and air conditioner as well. The technicians are always efficient, on-time, polite, and clean. They have always correctly diagnosed any problems I've had with aging systems and promptly fixed them. Averill seems to be an honest, reliable company that is a good value for the money and has great customer service.

Jack came out today to do preventative maintenance on our HVAC. He was very professional and friendly. He noticed that we had a significant issue with our outdoor air conditioning unit and gave us advice on how it could be resolved. We were very impressed with his service!

I don't normally write Google Ad Reviews but in this case I really felt I needed to.. Called Averill in morning after AC unit failed to blow cool air previous evening. Their visit charge for diagnosing was $10 - $20 less than the other guys, but they also actually transferred me to a technician (I requested that) to talk about possibilities of the problem and pricing guidelines -- versus the others I called who were simply booking appointments and couldn't transfer me to anyone. They also showed up within an hour (might have just gotten lucky but still...) "Jack" the technician showed up, courteous, knowledgeable, put on booties without my asking.... seemed VERY honest, clean cut, identified the problem(s) quickly and a little over hour later had new capacitor, cleaned coils on outside compressor, great recommendations and COOL air flowing very nicely once again.. the bill was $427 for everything - visit charge, new capacitor, new air filter inside, labor to clean total mess outside on unit... but I know darn well that this could have been LOTS worse....and I know that some other companies may very well have GOUGED me otherwise with new compressor (not needed) etc... In an case, Averill provided GREAT service, outstanding experience. Could not be more pleased, and I would recommend Averill in a heartbeat. Thanks Jack, thanks Averill!

I am on a service contract with Averill and couldn't be happier. I have used them exclusively for the past 15 years. Jack Farley from Averill visited me last week and did my fall preventive maintenance. He was extremely friendly and very professional. He was at my house for quite some time and to make sure everything was fine. I highly recommend Averill.

Great experience start to finish. Scott helped me determine which type of system made the most sense for our home. Thought of a solution to a quirky feature of our home that no other companies offered. Day of install the team was prompt, polite, and thorough. Mike, Brandon and Chris did a wonderful job. They worked efficiently, made sure I understood how everything worked, and cleaned up. Highly recommend!

We were in need of a new AC unit and I contacted several companies for bids. We chose Averill Heating & Air because they were professional, very knowledgeable, and provided the best quality products for the best price. Mark, the owner, came to do the initial quote. He provided several options, and was able to add additional parts/equipment and service for a discounted price.
Once the service was to be done the technicians were courteous, clean, professional and pleasant. They went through all the paperwork and gave me details of everything they were doing before starting. They continuously asked if I had questions and explained anything unexpected during installation process. The technicians cleaned up and left my basement and outside unit areas spotless.
I highly recommend Averill Heating & Air and I will definitely call them again for ALL our heating/AC needs.

Had an issue with my AC. Called Mark and he sent a tech right over within a half hour. Long story short, an all new HVAC system was needed. We had been band-aiding our system for a few years, it was time.
The tech was able to get the AC working until the new system was installed. He also said that if it broke down in the meantime they would send someone over to fix it for free!

Day of the install, 4 techs showed up promptly and got to work immediately. They covered their shoes, laid down drop cloths, and were very polite. They had their work cut out for them. They pulled all the permits, moved the AC to the side of the house, ran all the electrical, plumbing, gas line, drain lines.

They filled out all the rebate forms and submitted them. And the price cannot be beat. I spoke with some heating and cooling companies candidly and everyone said that Mark Averill's company is a good company, and he is good people. Respected by peers, and I can obviously see why. Top notch. Good work guys!

We have been using Averill for all of our heating and cooling needs for over 10 years now including the installation of a new complete Trane system which has been awesome. They have always been great to deal with, on time and very professional at all times. Brandon just installed a new whole house humidifier for us and did a wonderful job. Averill Heating and Cooling has been my go to place for maintaining and learning about my heating and cooling systems for many years. I have had two complete systems replaced by them in two different homes with very different circumstances. Multiple options were offered as to what was best for my circumstances but also considering my preferences. It is so easy to schedule a convenient appointment, service people arrive on time, and the service people are knowledgeable and friendly. They want you to understand what is going on so you are satisfied and comfortable!

Called them on a very hot day because our AC units weren’t cooling adequately. We were told that they would try to get to our house as soon as they could. To our pleasant surprise they arrived just several hours later! Jack and Shannon quickly diagnosed our problems and repaired what they could repair immediately...and their charge was very reasonable. We also knew (and they agreed) that our outside AC compressors were very old and needed replacing soon. So we scheduled someone to come out this week to give us an estimate on replacing and further repairing our problems. Because of their quick and excellent service we plan to continue to work with them to purchase new AC units in the near future.

My family and I have been using Averill Heating and Air Conditioning for all of our HVAC needs for three residences for over a decade. And, we love them! Professional, prompt, courteous and reliable service. What's not to love about that! We have also grown very fond of Jack Farley as our technician of choice. He has become like family to us. Always has a smile, well-mannered, excellent customer service and does exceptional work.

I absolutely cannot say enough positive comments about my experience with Averill Heating and Air Conditioning. My 23 year old AC went out in the dog days of summer and I decided it was time to update to a new system. Mark Averill came out and gave me a very competitive quote and never once tried to upsell me on anything. It took me a couple weeks to get multiple bids and in the process I decided on some changes to the system as well. Averill came back 2 additional times during the process to make sure I was getting what I needed. They want want it to be right.

Not only that, once I decided to go with Averill, Mark had Jack Farley come by and get my old system working until the new one arrived. Wow! Two days before the install Mike called to make confirm the final configuration. On install day, Mike and the whole team did a fantastic job. They were polite, communicative and their work is first class. You cannot go wrong with Averill!

Our service man today was Jack Farley. He has been here many times to check our furnace and air conditioner. Very polite and gives great service.

Averill Heating and Air Conditioning came highly recommended to me by several people. I now have personal experience and see why. One of their technicians,Jack Farley, came out today and was very personable and professional. He went beyond was necessary to make sure everything was tip top. I was very impressed and would join the ranks of people that highly recommend them.

Jack and Mike were amazing. Not only did they show right away, but were so friendly and took care moving around the house. Even dealt with our barking Shar Pei. Jack specifically was really great. He noticed our unit was not that old and even though when we called and were told it was not under warranty he was completed to call himself and found that our coils that were out in BOTH units were in fact under 1 more year so we only had to pay for labor. Truly incredible. We are signing up for their maintenance program. Honest, fast, and good company here at Averill.

I was able to get same day service on the hottest day of the year! Jason Smith was our technician and he was professional, kind, efficient and had our AC up and running within 30 minutes of his arrival. I will definitely use Averill for future repairs. They are also more affordable than other competitors. My neighbor referred them to me and she has been a customer for over 40 years.

Had an awful experience with the guys my home warranty sent out. Fired them and started getting bids for replacing my almost 30yr old HVAC from reputable contractors. Averill was knowledgeable, competent, honest in their assessment of my current system, and fair in their bid for a replacement system. They were able to get my old system rigged up to run temporarily until my new system was installed and offered to hook up a used compressor and radiator outside if the band-aid failed to keep things cool until the new system arrived. When the new system arrived the installers were diligent and conscientious. They were happy to walk me through anything they were doing and they completed the install and cleanup in about 4-5 hours. They took their time to explain the new system and walk me through the basic maintenance and left everything neat and clean. Everything has been running well since then. I also recommended them to a co-worker whose A/C failed on a Sunday. They were in his area on another call and managed to make it to his place, diagnose, and replace his failed Start/Run capacitor in less than two hours from his call without charging an absurd amount. Definitely a great company to work with all around.

we've used Averill several times over the past few years, and each time the service is consistently great. We used them first to have a new heating and cooling system installed in our house. And we have them back each year to have everything checked. We recently moved and had them come out to do some work and as always, they were prompt, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves when the work was completed. Brendan, Mike and Chris were also kind enough to help my husband move the stove into place after they installed our new gas line. We will continue to use them in our new house and recommend them highly!

Averill Heating & Air Conditioning is a very professional and reliable company. I called early this morning when my furnace quite working and they arrived within a half an hour. Jack and Shannon were very polite and resectable and I felt right away that I was in good hands. They cleaned my furnace and fixed the problem and had it up and running in about one hour. My furnace is about 18 years old and they suggested that I may consider replacing it soon, but they didn't put any pressure on me at all. I was so grateful for their fast and efficient service. Their fee was very resonable and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
