Yesterday, for the second time this year, Biggerstaff was able to come out and help with with a plumbing emergency on just a few hours notice. Thank you so much for all you have fixed for me, this year. Also, thanks for being very efficient on the job and very nice people.

On June 2nd, 2020 our Heat Pump stopped working - called for service - they were there the next day. Needed to order a part. We called multiple times the following week and the next week checking to see if the part was in so we could schedule service. No one seemed to know anything. No one ever tracked down this part or informed us that it was in. After numerous calls to Biggerstaff, we were finally told the part was in on June 18th. Not once did anyone from the office reach out to us. Had we not called - who knows how long we would have waited for them to notify us the part was in. The Heat pump was finally repaired on June 19th, 2020. We talked to the Manager in the office, asking for our bill to be reduced - all we got was Sorry We Dropped the Ball! Really that's it? We have been using Biggerstaff for years, and they were just out in October for maintenance. We will no longer use Biggerstaff for anything!

This is one of those instances that if I could give more than five stars I would. I have used Biggerstaff's both for plumbing repair and for a major HVAC replacement and they have provided outstanding service, I couldn't be more pleased. The plumbing problem involved reduced waterflow in my kitchen faucet. Another company told me my water pipes would need to be replaced. Joedy, the plumber they sent out, popped the end off the faucet and said it was clogged and he could clean it out with no problem ... issue solved. He also did some work on a very old toilet that will prevent me from having to replace it for awhile rather than trying to sell me a new one. The HVAC project was a major undertaking and I even had companies turn me down because it was going to be a lot of work in difficult surroundings. My furnace is in the crawlspace under the house with no access other than to crawl on hands and knees through a small opening. Somehow they managed to get the old system out and install a new one. I know the new system only fit through the opening by fractions of an inch. The three technicians, Thad, Jackson, and Jeremy spent two whole days crawling in and out under the house doing the work. The crawlspace itself is only about 36 inches high so they were on their hands and knees the whole time building my furnace piece by piece. They never complained, were courteous, professional, and the very best people I could imagine working with. Finally, Jim Johnson the fellow that provided the estimate and shepherded the project through, has been terrific to work with. He has always been responsive to questions, even dumb ones, knowledgeable about the products, and helpful in determining what would be right for my situation. I know this is long, but they deserve a long review. These folks are truly the best of the best !!!

When our heater went out on one of the coldest days of the year, Biggerstaff worked quickly to arrange someone to come out to take a look. In the meantime, they talked us through ways to keep the house warm. They checked in the next day with additional information. Biggerstaff's friendly and helpful service exceeded our expectations!

My water heater went out and was running/leaking water. I called Biggerstaff and they sent someone out right away to shut it off. The very next day I had a new one installed. They were friendly, fast, and efficient! I also called John Henry's but they were $300 more expensive and didn't have scheduling that worked, I'd have to wait longer. Great experience with Biggerstaff! Will use from now on and highly recommended.

Thank you Jim for coming out this evening to get my A/C cooling again. I called the company that installed a new furnace and air conditioner 2 years ago and was told it would be a week until someone could come out. It was 85 degrees in my house so called Biggerstaff and Jim was out in about an hour. Found the defective part and it's cool again! Many thanks Jim for your kindness and professionalism...

We had numerous other companies come out before Biggerstaff. They all seemed clueless and said they'd be getting back to us with more information of what needed to be done.
Biggerstaff came today and has our A/C running and operating like normal again. Only took him a couple of hours and at a very good price for the repairs.

Had our 20-year old Lenox AC/Furnace replaced 2-months ago by Biggerstaff. The installation went as expected and as outlined in the pre-construction bids. Mr. Johnson, who bid the project, was great to work with and was very interested in designing a system that met our budget and HVAC needs. He identified and corrected a problem with our original HVAC design that has greatly improved our living experience and reduced monthly energy costs! He was an absolute pleasure to work with.

The installation techs were professional, knowledgeable, respectful (e.g., cleaned up, put things back as they found them, etc.), and courteous. I also appreciate the follow up contacts by Mr. Johnson in regards to how things were working and on the status of our energy rebates. I give Biggerstaff my highest recommendation! They will be my first call for any HVAC needs for our family.

It was extremely hot when our AC expired. Biggerstaff technicians came and assessed our situation. They gave us options and we chose to go with a new high efficiency AC. Their bid was very competitive. The install was completed promptly and they cleaned up very well after the install. Thanks again!

To be honest, I've never called Biggerstaff plumbing before. I had an emergency and they sent Mike out pretty much right away. He assessed everything, then took care of it. I'll be having more work to be completed in a few days. Hope all goes well!Thank you.

We had an older AC unit that was located in a difficult spot. Several other companies recommended abandoning the unit and adding a new mechanical room or other more expensive alternatives. The Biggerstaff team got the unit replaced (at a reasonable price) and our guests and employees are super happy with our much cooler environment this summer. Thanks to Jim & the team!

Our water heater was dripping for several months and then started to leak at the bottom. I called Biggerstaff on Friday afternoon and got a quote. Was waiting for some additional quotes so called back Monday morning to schedule the work. They honored the price quote they gave me Friday even though they had just gotten word of a price increase. They also had a cancellation and were able to send someone out within 30 minutes. New hot water heater was working great within a couple hours. Thanks so much for the great service! And I was able to get a $150 rebate from Black Hills Energy for this energy saving water heater.

After an early morning call to the Biggerstaff service scheduler, technician Jake showed up yet that morning, diagnosed our A/C problem and made prompt repairs. Fast and effective service.

This company made a crisis into a blessing! Their estimate after my furnace had been condemned by another company due to mainly a cracked heating exchange was honestly amazing. It was 0° out and getting colder. Jim took the time to explain my options for units, rebate programs and financing. He never pressured me for a sale at all. The crew showed up the next morning in the freezing and replaced my furnace and flue. They did the hardest job because my furnace is in the attic! Other companies wanted to charge me significantly more because of this, and many even declined to do this job. I came home to a toasty house and couldn't even tell they had been there, aside from my furnace was working. It's currently "feels like -9°" outside and is 70° in my home. I can't say enough about this company and will be forever grateful! They're definitely ranked #1 in my book! They are honest, hard working contractors! Thank you Biggerstaff!

No heat in water heater. Ours takes a thermopile, not a thermacouple. Showed up on time, courteous, good problem solving & diagnosis, quickly replaced, billed correctly the .75hrs. Charges are $35 service call + $120/hr + parts. All reasonable.

My AC stopped cooling, so I called Biggerstaff at 4:30 pm, the phone was answered promptly and they scheduled a tech to come out the next morning.
Jake stopped by, and was polite and fixed our AC promptly (capacitor had gone bad).
I asked him to also do a pre-winter furnace check, he agreed, and he replaced a faulty igniter. I would recommend Biggerstaff to friends and family. My turn around time from calling them to a resolution was under 24 hours!

Jim Johnson from Biggerstaff saved the day by repairing our furnace. Our aging furnace stopped heating on a Friday. The weekend weather forecast was for single digit temperatures when HVAC companies are either closed or charge a premium for weekend service. Without a furnace, frozen water pipes were likely, so we searched for a same-day repair.

I called Biggerstaff first and learned all their technicians were already scheduled for the day. While I was investigating alternatives, Jim called me. While he is primarily responsible for HVAC sales, he explained that he also has an HVAC service background and asked if he could come to the house to evaluate the issue. His diagnosis determined that a part replacement was needed and Biggerstaff had the part in stock.

Because Jim took the initiative, he was able to replace the part and get the furnace working properly before the freezing temperatures arrived.

We’ve used Biggerstaff for decades and this is just our most recent experience with their professional service. We will continue to use Biggerstaff for all our HVAC and plumbing needs.

I had an exceptional experience with Biggerstaff. It is hard to find any service where the employees are competent, professional, and customer service oriented, but Biggerstaff proved that they do still exist. We needed an HVAC humidifier installed rather quickly due to some health issues that I was experiencing. When they came out to quote the job, they inquired about how I was feeling and hoped that I felt better soon. They also offered suggestions while we waited for our install date. Service like this is hard to come by. We will use them in the future for sure!
