Contractor reviews in Las Vegas, Nevada

They get one star only because I can't give them a zero! The have been to my house three times in the last month. Each time they have made the problem worse. Today their 'senior tech' came to the house. After an hour and one half on my roof he identified my Amana air conditioner as a Goodman. What the he'll is a Goodman? Said my system needed 3 pounds of Freon. Allegedly charged it. This took 90 minutes? In the 8 hours since he did this the temp in my house has dropped from 93 to 86. And my thermostat is now buzzing. For some reason First American keeps sending them back. SO FAR it's cost me over $1000 in lost vacation pay plus two days on medical leave for heat stress and over $400 in portable acs exhaust fans etc to make one room in my house survivable! The rest of the house peaked at 117! Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 64 years on this earth.

Absolutely disappointed! I called FAWH for my general maintenance on my HVAC gas heater. Francisco, as some of you here had him in your home, was here for 15 mins and said I need a capacitor for my first floor unit. So I said to go a head and fix it I will call FAWH. He said "I wont wait for you to call I will let the office know and the company will let you know" Come to find out he was not in a company truck and had a woman waiting in the car for him. Do not use this company and yes this company has no one answering their phone. They just want to charge another fee to come out. They really deserve no stars.

The ABSOLUTE worst AC company i have ever dealt with. First American sent them and then ended up paying me to hire another vendor. first thing they did was check my freon which had nothing to do with the problem and i needed almost 25% charge on a three year old brand new system. then after verifying my air handler fan motor needed to be replaced i was told that usually most companies keep three different ones on their truck and one usually fits, that they didn't have any at all. apparently they are a SMALL company and carry very little inventory. i was told they would have to order one and he was out the door. i was told by their office it would be two days with no AC in all the bedrooms in my house in 100+ temps in Vegas. called a reputable company, they came the same day, had the motor and fixed it. Absolute then called me back on saturday, three days later telling me they still didn't have the part which they would have had to order three motors because they didn't know the part number. luckily their tech had wanted to remove the motor to match it up with a part and i didn't let him and if he had, the tech that actually fixed it would have had no idea of the original motor. they said they would come the next day on sunday which if they didn't have the part on saturday how would they have it on sunday so the story was BS. the woman gave me her cell number and told me to call her directly if sunday would be OK. i called to let her know it was already fixed and she never answered, call went to voicemail, mailbox full. so that whole senario was BS. it's now monday evening, never heard from them again, so far. also, the motor would probably be able to be purchased from numerous suppliers in the Vegas area and had been installed the same day they were here.

If I could give NEGATIVE Stars I would. My warranty company ordered a new unit for my home and put the purchase order (P.O.") in Absolute Comfort's name. When I called Absolute, the receptionist could not find the P.O. and said the warranty co. had not sent it over yet. I informed her that I previously spoke them and it was ordered, the PO sent to Absolute and that the unit was ready. She looked again, found the PO and confirmed the unit was ready. The installation appt was scheduled. She asked the fee of $650 be sent via "Zelle" or she would send someone to my home to pick up a cashier's check. I asked for an invoice and she said she would provide a receipt after the fee was received and paid in full. I told her I was not comfortable with that and needed some kind of document so I had a record of payment and she said that Absolute does not do that. Side note, who would zelle a company that much money without any documentation? Absolute is shady!!!
When the appt day came, one hour before the tech was suppose to arrive, I received a text message that I did not pay the fee so Absolute was cancelling the appt and I needed to pay and reschedule. I have tried to contact Absolute via text and phone calls and Absolute has not contacted me. I have called over 20 times to my warranty co. to contact Absolute and Absolute has not answered the phone nor returned any phone calls. It is now 1 week after Absolute confirmed receiving my unit and still has not contacted me to install the unit. I have 5 children from 4 years old to 15 years old with no a/c in their room in the Las Vegas heat. It has reached over 90 degrees in our rooms and Absolute has done nothing to complete the job they received and agreed to complete.
I have filed a complaint with BBB, NV State contractors board, and NV Consumer Affairs. -
Absolute Comfort was assigned to fix my A/C from First American Home Warranty on June 20th. Francisco came out on June 25th and cleaned the fan shaft, which did not fix the issue. We contacted Absolute Comfort again and they sent Francisco back out on July 6th; Francisco said that he would need to order a condenser. On July 21st, Absolute Comfort finally sent the request to First American Home Warranty to order the Condenser. First American Home Warranty ordered the part on August 2nd and the part was ready for Absolute Comfort to pick up on August 4th, which they still have not.
During this entire time, I have been blowing up their phone. They will not answer the phone nor will they call back! I have left numerous messages!
Avoid at all cost! -
Went through American First Home Warranty. They said that they come to an appointment, but that's news to me as the homeowner. I was never contacted, but got an email saying that the request was completed from the warranty company. It turns out that this company isn't even BBB accredited and the same issues keep happening with other customers of the Warranty company. It's as if this is a scam from the minute you sign up with FA warranty

Absolute TRASH! Avoid this company at all costs. If a home warranty assigns them to your case, demand someone different right away. They schedule you, don't show up. Show up unannounced, and unprepared. Also, I dare you to try to get a hold of them on the phone. it is impossible. If I could give a negative star rating I would.

2 solid weeks of No A/C During 110 weather.
Came for assessment and determined unit would need to be replace. After calling warranty company 2 days later, discovered they failed to send the documents to the warranty company so no action was taken. 3 days pass and they order parts after having to call numerous times. By day 9 Went to their office out of desperation. It's closed.... They scheduled a replacement date. 15min prior to the scheduled time they text saying the part is not available yet. They scheduled and install, "I see it on the schedule for wednesday" the scheduler was apparently wrong. Another 24 hours. And they install the new unit. After doing their job they left the unit to rock and vibrate like crazy. They also left the trash from their work in my front yard. I am providing documentation to the warranty company. Unprofessional and unable to provide adequate service. -
We have been been dealing with this company for 3 years. They put in a new AC condenser unit (After it's own frustration and irritation involved) and now we have gone over three weeks without AC... AGAIN due to their negligence. They came out for a simple motor repair on a blower assembly inside, which should be common place in all their vehicles for any occasion, but they "had to order it" and now "have no idea where the part is and have no tracking information on it". The technician told my wife that the reason they had to order the part is that our unit is too old and they don't carry the parts for this type of unit. (A motor is a motor. I can go up to our local hardware store and buy this part.) So we called our insurance company and they ordered the part FOR Absolute comfort and sent it to them directly to expedite this response. However, neither we, nor our insurance company have received a sitrep from Absolute Comforts manager or anyone else at the company on this matter. (they tend not to return phone calls or even answer the phone)
I have attempted to call Absolute comfort many times over the course of three years now in dealing with them because they couldn't get the job done right the first time. They have NEVER returned my calls, and RARELY return the cals of my wife or the insurance company. They also will either cancel appointments without telling us or the insurance company. Or they show up without telling anyone they have an appointment. And if you aren't there, because you didn't know, it's your fault and you have to wait for the next available opening in their schedule.
I'm not one to leave bad reviews normally, you can look at my other google reviews to see this. I also believe that most bad reviews are from people wanting more than just a simple service and I tend to ignore the 1 & 2 star reviews, however, in this case... It's prudent to pay close attention to the 1 & 2 star reviews. From what I can tell, all the 1 & 2 star reviews on Google & Yelp are accurate and relatable. But going without AC in 100+, and 110+ degree weather ends it with me now the third year in a row. I'm done. And I'm filing a law suite and since the company doesn't return my calls, this is the only way they're going to find out until my lawyer contacts them. (If they even read these reviews) Take GREAT care and caution in using this company PLEASE. Your family will suffer, and if you have one's whom are ill and infirm, could die in our Southern NV heat. -
Absolutely the Worst. Home warranty assigned. Lost AC on 5/30/21. Showed up on Memorial Day (only positive) to advise couldn’t fix and would contact office to order parts. Weds 6/2 Vegas entered heat advisory. Got call saying they wouldn’t be here until Sat 6/5 between 8&1. Called at 11 for update. Waited 45 mins on hold to get someone. He put me on god for 20 mins. Stayed contractor missed getting parts from supplier and they are closed so need to reschedule for Mon. I asked for 8am 1st appt. it’s now noon and no tech, no call, and no one answering phone.
Update 6/8- never answered phone yesterday or today. Tech showed up at 1pm with no notice. Hopefully we have a working AC tonight but if I could give a negative star I would -
Would never let these people back in my home. So sketchy. They never answer the phone and it never lets you leave a message. I stayed on for over an hour once. Total time waiting on multiple calls was hours. They sent a guy out, he assessed and said my AC unit needed a part that had to be ordered. They said they were sending the same guy back to my house. A different guy showed up, not a big deal. But now there are wires, zip ties, and electrical tape sticking out of my AC unit *and* it still doesn’t work. Tried for over a week to get a hold of them again. No luck. Got a random “automated” text that said an appt had been scheduled for the next morning, but I can’t miss work last minute. Out of curiosity I texted back and they finally replied and were rude and *very* unprofessional. No, thanks. I’d rather pay out of pocket than deal with these shady people.

First appointment was good with quick response and technician diagnosis problem immediately. Part has been ready for pickup and we cannot get in touch with anyone now. No one will call us back or schedule to fix our AC. No AC for 4 weeks in Las Vegas at 100+ is unacceptable. Atleast call/ text back and let us know you are booked out or not available. If you get this company just request a new one.

I would give them no stars if possible. I called my home warranty company because one of my ac units suddenly stopped working and they sent this company out. Guy came out and looked at my unit, spoke with my husband and I about the issue, got it working and left. Great? Not so fast.....I came home from work the next day to find out the unit wasn't working again. I called the home warranty company and they sent out a recall notice to this company. I get a call the next day from this company telling me they will be out the following day between 8am-12pm. Shortly after that call I get a call back from the same girl telling me that the service wouldn't be covered by my home warranty because the coils were dirty and lack of maintenance. I flew off the handle because I knew she was out right lying. First off the unit is only 3 years old, secondly the repairman told both my husband and I the coils weren't dirty but she kept telling me that the tech wrote on his report that that was the issue(which was a complete out right lie). I called my home warranty company and asked for someone else to come out and not this company which they agreed. Come to find out the unit was low on feron and that was the only issue. Please do not ever use this company. They are liar and cheats and I can tell you that my home warranty company won't be using them anymore

This is an amazing company. I initially posted a project on Home Advisor for a new outlet install. I was contacted quickly and they came out the same day to do the work. Great customer service skills, very courteous. They were thorough in taking the time to understand what I wanted, location, etc. I was given tips on how to handle a couple of other DIY type electrical projects rather than taking my money to do the work. They said if I attempted to follow their tips and still needed help to give them a call. High degree of integrity and the tips worked flawlessly. I even had a question on what I was doing the following day, reached out via text and got a response with exactly what I needed to do. All free of charge. It’s hard to find businesses with this type of integrity. I will definitely use them again.

I met Marcus when he was visiting his family in Oakland. He and someone ran into Home Depot, and I needed help picking out the gadgets and fixtures..
Y'alllll he helped me since customer service out here is non existent plus I was able to hire him on the spot and within a few hours, he showed up to my house with tools ready to go.
He was even super friendly with the two dogs!!! The job only took a few hours, and I was able to have dinner outside with my hubby at 9pm.
Kudos to him for saving my evening!!! -
Edit: We have reached out twice since this review and gotten no response.
Just bought a home and was referred to Marcus for electrical.
Hands down one of the best referrals we've received. He's responsive, friendly and does good work. -
