I used Merry Maids for several years but discontinued service as of yesterday (21 Jun 21). My issue with MM stems from price increases and mediocre cleaning. I am giving a 2 star rating only because I used them for so many years and never gave much feedback until now. As such, they get an additional star simply because I never provided them feedback to improve their service.

Over the years, I have had to do quite a bit of negotiation to keep price at what I considered a reasonable rate. Mary - one of MM's best employees IMO - was usually there to work with me to keep my service at the same level while minimizing the price increase. However, that all changed recently during my last cleaning with MM where one of the leads showed up to direct/train a team cleaning my home and acted completely bewildered and put-off by the amount of cleaning I was getting for my current cleaning plan and price level. In an effort to get us all on the same page in terms of what plan he thought I should have and for what price, I asked the lead to reassess the home and give me the quote he felt it should be at. I do acknowledge that my plan was unique as a result of the work Mary had done to help establish a plan that worked within my budget and expectations. A few days later I received a call from the lead and - in short - his solution was to increase my bill an additional $25 ON TOP of an additional $20 increase that had been proposed only 6 months earlier. The result equated to a $90 increase per month (a 30% increase in less than a year). On top of that, he proceeded to tell me that Mary - an employee whose care and concern for me as a customer was pretty much the only reason I stuck with MM through the years - had been "strongly reprimanded for the deal she had given to me."

In the end, it all worked out for the best because I reached out on FB, asked my neighbors for maid service recommendations, and was put in touch with a privately owned LLV cleaning service whose level is heads and shoulders above what I ever got from MM who tends to send a lot of trainees whose attention to detail when cleaning is somewhat lacking at times (not always but often enough). Not only that, but their pricing is considerably less than MM's (i.e. I am saving $130 PER MONTH with these new maids compared to the price MM quoted me for the same type of plan). I will now have the same team of cleaners each visit (instead of having new faces to walk through the home each time) who are all trained (MM frequently sends trainees to clean homes even when charging by the hour) and who charge much less. My recommendation to anyone searching for maid service would be to steer clear of Merry Maids and instead ask neighbors for recommendations. There are a lot of great privately owned LLC maid services who do much better cleaning at a fraction of the price. Merry Maids does okay cleaning. However, the level of cleaning definitely does not match the price they currently wish to charge (imo).

I'm always impressed by how clean my apartment is when I receive my once a month cleaning. Las Vegas dust is worse than any I've seen anywhere else I've lived but after the monthly service, I can forget this negative aspect of living in Vegas.

After a small bump in the road in the usual level of service, my last cleaning was excellent as usual. Merry Maids of Las Vegas has maintained their standard and they are willing to get it right if you disagree at any point!

We have been using Merry Maids for over 17 years. They always clean our home thoroughly and expertly. The staff who clean have always been cheerful and kind and take care of our personal belongings as if they were their own.

This was the last straw. Another broken pottery that they tried to hide from me (that makes 3 hidden and one that I saw happen, plus a broken pendant lamp in my kitchen). They are always in such a rush that I keep hearing things crash - pictures off the wall, chairs toppled over - and yet they don't even pick up a tissue that was on the floor partially under the chair. So the cleaning is noisy but not thorough. Different people every time for 2 years even when I request ones that I think were good. I end up going over the same things every week with a new person. They are better suited to hotels or empty apartments. Definitely not houses with anything valuable on display. And not sanitary in bathrooms or kitchens. No idea what they had tried to flush down my toilet this week but they left it full of what looked like ashes. And I don't smoke.

We have been using Merry Maids for over a year. Initially they were awesome but lately they do not show up on time moving our morning appointment to afternoon or next day because we have other appointments in the afternoon. They were supposed to be here at 9am then this afternoon. It is now almost 3pm and still waiting. They are not as thorough as they were before as if they are rushing to get to their next appt. We will be looking for another company. This is completely unacceptable.

Mary and Stephanie did an outstanding job yesterday. They really took their time to ensure our place was cleaned right. It seems like we get different cleaners every time. I would like to have them clean our house on a permanent basis. Thanks!

These lady’s did an excellent job on my first initial cleaning. I’ve never seen so much work completed in such a short time. Now every 3 weeks will be easier because it’s just a matter of maintenance. Great for someone who spends all day at work and doesn’t have the energy to do deep cleaning. I’m impressed and think it is more than worth it! Thank you Mary Maids!

Merry Maids are always on time and very professional. I don't mind paying the full price when cleaning is completed early because they work hard and my house smells and feels clean. Highly recommend!

This team does a good job. Thank you to the hard working employees. I’m revising my review to only 3 stars because after only being with this company for a couple months they are increasing my rate by $40/month. Their prices are already higher than than the competition. They called this a nominal increase but it’s higher than any cost of living or CPI increase that I’m aware of. I don’t consider this price hike “nominal”.

It’s a shame they value money over their customers.

This was my third experience with Merry Maids. They did a very nice job with the cleaning side…my only issues were the following: a curtain and curtain rod were knocked down and not bothered to be put back in master bedroom, a shelf was knocked off the wall in the nursery and put back incorrectly, and a number of items in master bathroom were put back in the wrong places. It would be really nice if someone took a quick picture before clearing off counters and then took the time to return items the way they found them. Overall, cleaning was excellent, but overall care of the home was not. I will continue using Merry Maids, but hope that they are receptive to comments!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. One of the other times we had them out, they got some blue cleaner all over the shower, and it's stained the tub. Then the last time we had them over, we tried to get them to clean up that blue stuff, only for them to put more on it, staining the tub more in the process, then they said that we put it there. They will damage your property and take no responsibility for it. We will never use this disgusting, corrupt company ever again and we will be urging others to use someone else as well.

I’ve used Mary Maids House Cleaning Service multiple times to clean my grandma's home in Las Vegas, and I couldn’t be more impressed. They consistently do an outstanding job, thoroughly cleaning every corner of the house, right down to the baseboards and blinds. The team is incredibly kind and patient, especially when working with my grandma to schedule services. Her home always looks spotless when they leave, and the customer service is top-notch. I won’t use any other cleaning service in Las Vegas. Highly recommend!

The guy who does the walkthrough will say all the right things but dont believe it...They did a horrible job!!!! completely unacceptable!!!
They went to my place my place for about 90min and as soon as we left they left without even touching the upstairs...... they did a light wipe down on part of the house but didn't clean anything!! The front of the counters had grease spots on them, the back splash had grease as well, I don't know what these maids were thinking. Currently disputing charges

The ladies from maid brigade are thorough, polite and so efficient! This was my first time using a cleaning service and I''ve been so happy with my decision to work with them. The majority of the staff are long time employees because they do a great job, and they are treated extremely well by their employers. Happy employees do great work, and Maid Brigade is proof! I'm a bachelor, so house cleaning sometimes gets pushed to the back burner, coming home to my house looking spic and span almost makes me feel like I don't live there alone. I highly recommend!

Maid Brigade came and did a move out cleaning for us at our home rental and they did a superb job! Their office was very easy to work with for scheduling and payment. They showed up right when they said they were going to and got right to work. It was so nice not having to worry about moving AND deep cleaning afterwards. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Maid Brigade did a wonderful job deep cleaning our condo. We were doing a move out cleaning and they were able to leave our unit spotless. There were 3 ladies doing the work. They were professional and detail oriented. I would highly recommend this company for your repeat service or extensive move out cleaning. Reliable company too.

I’ve tried several other cleaners and I find maid brigade to be the BEST. They are professional, with excellent service and they do a great job. Dulce and Shiomara are very thorough, and always take good care of my home and are kind to my pets.
