This place needs a caring staff that I’m not sure they have currently. I came here with my daughter looking for some rooting hormones for a clipping I am going to get soon. Let’s just say that the kids outside greeting me were way more welcoming then the staff inside! The poor plants all looked like they were not being cared for properly as well. I got my ponytail palm here a few years ago and it was much better then! :(

Star NURSEY is excellent for plants and gardening needs, as well as yard rock and other yard Decor. Great location of Blue Diamond Rd, easy in Ind out with parking. Huge selection. Friendly accommodating service. Handicap accessible with plenty of parking. Highly recommend.

I love visiting Star Nursery! Employees have always been helpful, nice, and easy to find when we have questions. My husband and I just moved here from the midwest, and you'd have never caught me shopping at the local nursery there because they were always way too expensive, but I love how affordable they are and all the sales I've seen so far. I just bought a bag of their personal brand soil, and I love it!! And the plant I bought from another location is doing very well, in fact I've split it into 2 planters already and I've had it for just over a month! Definitely will be coming back!

MARY gave me so much information AND walked me to the plants. ... she didn't point around like a weather vane blowing in the wind at me just rattling off acting like a know- it-all. ... she actually knew things n was so friendly.

I usually really like Star Nursery but this one kind of angered me the other day. I purchased a Saguaro Cactus there recently for around $50. I paid cash and was unable to find my receipt. I followed all of the instructions given by the staff for planting and care. I used their gold Dust starter and some potting soil to get it established. I planted it in a high-sun area and consistently watered it the recommended amount. Despite all this, the cactus soon began to turn black and is clearly dead. I returned to Star Nursery to inquire as to whether they offered any sort of warranty. They advised me that they offer a 30 day warranty and you must provide a receipt. It's on me that I can't find my receipt but 30 days is ridiculous. My daughter recently purchased a dog and was given a multi-year warranty on the purchase to replace the dog if it became ill and died. I was honestly surprised to learn that live animals come with such a warranty but i was even more surprised that Star Nursery just shrugged and sent me on my way when I came in with a reasonable question about a plant that they have in abundance and I paid a lot of money for comparatively, that did not survive despite my strict adherence to their instructions. This cactus died within two months but i think six months would be more reasonable a warranty for a plant like this. This is very low grade customer service and poor policy. I will take my business elsewhere in the future and I advise you to do the same

First time ever at Star Nursery!

I was impressed with the selection of plants, trees, a Hruba, cacti 🌵, herbs, landscaping supplies, and irrigation products.

The custom service stood out. Several
Employees asked if we need help, but Brandan (he checked us out) stood out the most. He went beyond the norm to help us. Great job Brandan

I stopped by today a hour before closing, looking for a couple of new plant babies. The staff was super polite and helpful, and the prices were amazing. 50% off all pottery, $15 for the bigger Devil’s Ivy in this image and $8 for the smaller California Ivy!

The store is very clean and organized and there is an incredible selection of plants both for indoor and outdoor growing ❤️

This is a great nursery with a lot to offer. Located right off of Blue Diamond within driving distance to the whole southwest side of the Vegas valley.

They have a huge selection of trees, flowers, soils and all kinds of garden products.

Great prices and friendly/helpful employees.

I've used Dr Q's soil for growing my wheatgrass for over 20 years. And now their soil is absolutely no nutrients cannot grow a blade a wheatgrass anymore. Buyer beware it's not the quality it used to be they're trying to dump off crap soil to all of us

Came here today for garden soil, house plant, pottery, and organic tomato seeds. I really enjoyed shopping here. The staff is super nice and they have great prices. Thanks so much!

Great selection of trees, bushes and palms. I asked about sod. They get a load daily, charge $2.50 for 5 sq ft. When we looked at it by noon however it looked extremely dried out. I feel this may be something you would need to get first thing in the morning as soon as they got it before high heat or wait until the heat dies down for the season so you can properly take care of it and water it appropriately. I look forward to redoing my backyard and picking some great plants and trees from Star Nursery. Thanks for some inspirational ideas.

This place made my Christmas. My mother was hit by a car and as such it has been hard to do much for Christmas. However, they had beautiful trees. The young man who helped me was so kind. And not only were the trees on sale they let me have the tree stand. Talk about going the extra mile. Everyone here was so amazing. Thank you for being a bright light in what has been a very dark season for my family and I.

My wife and I visited the Star Nursery on Blue Diamond Road twice this month, and both times I had the pleasure of working with James. He is upbeat, professional, has a great sense of humor, and is incredibly knowledgeable.
We originally walked in with a completely different plant list and design plan, but after spending time with James and hearing his recommendations, we confidently changed direction. His guidance was thoughtful, practical, and clearly based on real experience — not just what looks good on a shelf.
James knows the nursery inside and out. I honestly think you could blindfold him and he could still walk you straight to a Bay Laurel without hesitation. That level of familiarity and expertise makes a huge difference when you're trying to make the right choices for your landscape.
If you're looking for quality plants, honest advice, and expert recommendations, James is your guy. Just look for the one employee that the large yard cat, Ted, seems to be following around — you'll know you've found the right person.
