Desert Air responded to our home for an emergency, after hour repair. They were easy to contact, professional, trustworthy and most of all they responded promptly,did the work and didn't try to upsell us for unnecessary work. They are our "Go To" for HVAC, and plumbing issues. Our Thanks to the front office staff as well who professionally worked with us to get the job done.

We have used Desert Air for years at our small condo complex and found them to be top drawer. David and Jeff were very professional. They are a LOCAL Sparks business located near York and Probasco so they can show up pretty fast. They are installing wall furnaces throughout our condo complex. They present well and their work ethic is top drawer (no disappearing and no constant cell phone use). I was very pleased with the final professional product complete with caulking and proper grill placement/alignment. You can't go wrong.

Spencer is absolutely amazing. Professional, courteous, quick, highly knowledgeable, and best of all, genuinely caring. In a world where great customer service is hard to come by, he could give classes on it. So not only does my AC work beautifully again, but he's got a loyal customer here now too. Highly recommend!

We had an unfindable leak in our laundry room that would come on at strange times when we weren't washing clothing. We called Desert Air and spoke with Pauline. Pauline was understanding and professional and quickly got us on the schedule.
Later that day Butch and David came out five minutes early (that hasn't happened in a long time), both were professional and friendly and quickly got to work. Within 30 minutes they had diagnosed the problem as a faulty washing machine hose. They quickly replaced it with the proper hose they had on the truck. I am very pleased with all the employees I had the pleasure of dealing with. I highly recommend them and will be using them for future issues.

Spencer and the team are responsive problem solvers that fix the problem and not necessarily run to the simple conclusion of replacing the device. The service our original system that they installed twice a year to keep it all running smoothly. They are our go to team for heating and air conditioning

Adam and David were professional, respectful, courteous, and personable. They worked well together and HOPEFULLY took care of the problems on a very old unit. They asked questions that helped pinpoint the problem. Will definitely use again and refer to others.

Desert Air came out to my house to fix my AC. They were able to fix it right away and now my AC keeps my home cool. The office staff was super friendly and they were able to get me on their schedule pretty fast. Thank you Desert Air !

This company has been wonderful, I have an old school oil heater and water boiler. Their knowledge has surpassed 4 other companies. Greg fixed several decade long problems in two very quick trips. Absolutely thankful.

Excellent company to work with. Spencer was amazing. He showed up on time and diagnosed the problem with our A/C in no time. They came out the next Sunday and replaced our unit just in time to beat the heat wave!

Highly Recommend!...we've used them for service and the design/installation of a new system. Spencer and the team at Desert Air are a reasonably sized company where honesty and customer service still exists; they truly care about their clients and take pride in the work...something unusual in this day in age. **Get a second opinion. Save $100's**. I had changed the batteries in my thermostat and the heater stopped working. After playing around with the thermostat and the heater I called Desert Air for diagnostic service ($129).

The tech came out and I informed him that I changed the batteries in the thermostat and now the unit isn't working. The tech in examining the heater unit said the thermostat is getting power so the issue is not the thermostat. After further examination the tech said I needed a new furnace control panel at a cost of $660.

I decided to get a second opinion. I had another company come out and I explained that the unit stopped working after I changed the batteries in the thermostat. The tech looked at the thermostat and said the problem looks like that the thermostat is not fully pressed in to engage. You have to really make sure the unit is pressed into the wall. He took the thermostat off the wall and made sure to line it up. THE HEATER WENT ON!

The tech said that yes, the furnace would show power going to the thermostat, but as the thermostat was not fully engaged it was not sending any signal to the furnace to start. The tech said Desert Air should have inspected the thermostat. The tech checked out the control board to make sure there were no issues and said the board was fine. He said it was good that I got a second opinion as most people would have paid to replace the board and that wasn't the issue and would not have fixed the problem.

I called Desert Air and explained the above to them as I feel that I should not have to pay the full diagnostic fee. The representative said they will speak to their manager and call me back.

The representative called back to say that the spoke with the service technician and he states the control board is bad. I informed the representative that I don't agree as a second company said the board is fine and the unit works now that the thermostat is seated correctly.

Please always get a second opinion to save yourself hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs. I am disappointed with Desert Airs customer service and perfomance.

Desert Air installed our AC unit and 5 years later we had our first issue. Adam and David came out to fix it and they were fantastic! Very thorough and professional, and only charged us for the parts as they felt the issue was made during install. They even came back a few days later to ensure everything was running correctly!

Spencer and his team always perform at a very high level. Job well done!

We came home from Christmas vacation to a freezing cold house. It was the day before New Years Eve. There was not a single company that wasn't booked out 2+ weeks. We called Desert Air and they miraculously had an opening at the very end of their day. Their service men are so professional and compassionate. Matt came out and tried to repair or 25 year old furnace. But it was beyond repair. They called around and found us a replacement on New Years Eve! Amazing! Their technicians worked all day to install and there were no over/emergency charges. I cannot recommend them enough! They were kind, friendly efficient and went above and beyond to help us have heat before the holiday and before temperatures dropped with an incoming storm. We are so grateful and appreciated all of their employees, from office to techs they were all amazing! Thank you so very much!

The fan on my air-conditioner went out and my family was roasting in the summer heat. They sent a technician out quickly and got it fixed and now my air conditioner works better than ever. The technician they sent also gave me some tips on how to keep the system running smoothly and quietly in the future.

Desert Air has always been prompt and professional. They really know what they are doing. They were the only company who could fix our heating issue. The owner came out at 6am because that's when the problem was happening. Great customer service and very affordable. We will not use anyone else.

I called them for service a few years ago and am updating my review. I don't recall everything that they did, but I was pleased with their work and honoring the price I was quoted, which was significantly less than what it would've been. The owner was present to help with the job and agreed to the price. Both of them were pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and cleaned up the areas they worked in. I sent them a Hobey's Coffee Shop gift card to show my appreciation for their work and integrity. It wasn't much, but I truly appreciated everything and especially keeping the cost down. I was glad I could support a local business.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Desert Air. I checked with 5 different A/C companies and they were all super busy. I chose Desert Air because they were the only ones available to come out right away. The tech came out on time and was very responsive. We paid the standard dispatch fee charged for an A/C company visit, in this case $129 (most companies only charge around $89.) We ended up spending an additional $500 for the "A/C Start Up Pm/No Contract" + " Outdoor Coil Cleaning-Moderate." The work summary included a recommendation for a new contactor since the unit was tripping and shutting off on its own. There was no improvement after this work was done. The tech came out again and recommended a new compressor, $5500, or a new unit all together, $6500 - $7k. One week later when the A/C still was not working, we finally received an estimate for a new A/C unit at over $12k from Desert Air (1200 sq. foot townhome.) Adding insult to injury, Desert Air would not subtract our $129 dispatch fee to our invoice. This was the only company in the Reno area that did not apply this fee to the invoice ("unless we purchased a brand new HVAC system.") Buyer Beware. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

As usual, on time and did a great job servicing our air conditioner. We have had them do seasonal maintenance to furnace (they are one of the few companies that service oil furnaces) and air conditioner for quite a while and have always been satisfied with work done and fees charged.
The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they left the gate open and our dog got out. Luckily a neighbor saw him wandering about and brought him home.
