We are builder's / contractors is the Summit, Chatham, Short Hills area & have been dealing with Air-1 for almost 10 years now. They are extremely professional, reasonably priced & punctual. They know the business and would highly recommend them to anyone. Builders , contractors, & homeowners alike.

I regret that I forgot the name of the person that came to our house, however he was great! He was polite, professional, and explained the process and about how long each task would take to complete. He did what he needed to do without disturbing the household. And he was done hours before the end time I was initially given by the scheduler. Overall, great work and super nice guy!

Air 1 is responsive with your calls. Jose gets a 5 out 5 from this household. He is respectful with property, pleasent, on time and efficient. We are returning customers because of Jose. When I schedule an appointment I ask for him and will continue asking for him to be our tech.

Air 1 installed a complete HVAC system, furnace and air conditioning, for me in October 2013. I interviewed 5 different contractors at the time and chose Air 1 because they were professional, honest, straight forward, and praised by other contractors. Recently July 2020, my daughter moved to New Jersey because of Covid. She needed a new air conditioning unit. Will, the owner, stepped up and got her system done quickly and at a fair price. Air 1 is the real deal. They have technicians who are experienced and many have been with them for years. In addition the office staff is friendly and easy to deal with. Air 1 should be your first and only stop for HVAC!

Poor service. Said we had nothing to worry about when we initially installed an AC systems with them and that all issues would be covered under the first year warranty. When we had issues with the system shutting down and called them out; they changed their minds. Billed us 250 dollars to come for an hour and run a diagnostic test which didn't solve the problem.

Watch out for these guys! One of my heating units stopped working. I called Air 1. Their tech arrived the next day, spent 15 minutes looking at the unit and told me that maybe he could fix it for $1500 but it was old and corroded so not sure the fix would hold very long. Furthermore he didn’t know how long it would take to get the parts. He strongly recommended a new unit for $6000!!!

I was doubtful because I had already opened the unit up, saw that it looked new inside and that everything was working correctly except the release of gas when the igniter came on. I was pretty sure this ‘repairman’ was a salesman working on commission. I expressed my doubt and asked for a written diagnosis and quote. He wouldn’t give me either and left. Oh and tried to charge me over $200. I paid $125

The next day I had another local outfit come
In (Curchio). He listened to my description, opened the panel, looked at the error code then looked at the vacuum hose. It had come loose preventing the unit from releasing gas. He plugged the hose back on and it fired up. 5 minutes and I had heat again. $200 not $6000.

I called Air 1 Friday afternoon and asked to speak with the owner. The receptionist said he was off but she promised he would call me Monday morning. It’s 5:30 pm and no call. A lot of these guys are crooks scamming naive homeowners to overpay for simple problems. I think Air 1 falls into that category.

Air 1 was respectful, courteous and knowledgeable when they came to my home to do a job. Their prices are reasonable and fair. I was very happy with their work and will use them again.

We just got a brand new hvac system installed in our home, the installers were super polite and the office staff was so easy to work with! I would definitely recommend using Air 1.

I am a first time homeowner and just moved into my new house a few days before calling Air1. I had to heat to the upstairs. I called Air1 and they had an appointment the very next day for me. Ivan showed up on time (even before I got there) and was able to explain the process to me. It turned out to be a simple fix, but I learned a few new tricks along the way.

Air1 is the best heating and cooling company around. They have the most knowledgeable and professional staff and know how to keep appointment times.

I have had Airq do multiple jobs in my house from replacing my ductwork to having a common wire installed so my new Nest thermostats would operate correctly. They are extremely responsive, very professional to deal with and their work is well done including cleanup.
I like that they are very thorough in understanding exactly what's needed so that they send out the right person to do the job. I also appreciate their text communications on appointments and technician status. Their prices are very fair and they have become my go to company for anything HVAC.

The service technician did a great job. My Central Air unit running perfectly. Long story short I had non condensiables in my central air unit and it cost approx 1500 dollars to, as I understand it, flush out the line and remove non coolants. I am giving them 2 stars because I thought they over charged me, I think they were very over priced for amount of time spent to fix problem.

Had a no heat call technician was on time professional. Heater needed to be replaced we discussed options and I decided to replace all my old HVAC equipment. Installation went smoothly, was timely, and everyone throughout the process was courteous and professional. Great job.

These guys are great! Explain everything thoroughly and do not feel pushy when showing what needs to be done. They are respectful of my home when performing work and show up on time.

William and his entire team really knocked it out of the park with this! We hired Air 1 to convert our oil heating system to natural gas. From first contact & scheduling, to the estimate appointment, through to running the new gas lines and installation of the new furnace & boiler, this company went above and beyond to deliver quality service. Seriously, these guys worked through freezing cold, and massive rainfall and flooding, to make sure our home was warm and our new units working. They left my basement cleaner than it was before they got there! I will recommend this company to any and everyone. Thank you, Air 1!

Always excellent service. Installed my AC and use them for yearly maintenance on HVAC. Their technicians are professional and clearly explain the maintenance service and if any concerns.

Air 1installed an Aprilaire humidifier system to replace my former one. The service personnel performed the installation rapidly and expertly and are meticulous in their work as well as the cleanliness of the installation.
I recommend them highly as they are truly professional in all aspects of their work. I couldn't be any more pleased.

They take the time to ensure that the job is done properly, explain all the details of the work performed, and leave the house clean and orderly. Whenever we have had issues with our heating or cooling products, Air 1 has gone the extra mile to ensure that we are receiving the proper service. Everyone at the company -- from the administrative staff to the installers to the service techs to the managers and owners -- takes pride in the work they perform and strive to provide the best service possible. When there is an emergent situation (i.e. no heat in winter, or no air in summer), they are always sure to prioritize and get the job done quickly, efficiently, and effectively. I highly recommend Air 1 for any HVAC needs in the home.

They installed our unit in March 2015 and the unit induced motor was found to be defective in Nov 2015. They not only charged us for the service call but also charged us for the part which was under warranty. Very unprofessional. The same part after less than 5 years failed again and they took no responsibility of their workmanship. Customer service Person doesn’t deal with the customer professionally. This time again they were charging us for the defective part and exorbitantly for the service call under the pretext that we didn’t sign maintenance contract with them. So we didn’t finally go with them but went with Vendor Harmony heating and cooling who are far better and professional

Mike and his team were such a pleasure to deal with. They worked efficiently and always kept me in the loop with the progress along the way. The guys were also respectful of my home and very tidy with their work. Highly recommend!
