My Electrolux dryer was not drying properly. I called Sequence 7 and was able to schedule an appointment the next day. Donovan was careful as he moved the dryer to access the back, and he was professional and courteous throughout. He replaced 2 dryer coils and carefully reassembled the dryer. Dryer worked great again! Would definitely call Sequence & Appliances again for other repairs!

The whole process from scheduling to payment was a breeze. The repair man was able to diagnose and repair our stove in a timely way and clearly communicated what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Over all a good experience.
This was for a stove repair. -
Knowledgeable, professional, and offer transparent pricing with no surprises. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get their kitchen or laundry appliances back in top shape without breaking the bank!

Fantastic technician, reasonable prices. I've been a Lexus technician for many years and I troubleshoot AC systems and mechanical problems all day long. I know a a good technician when I see one. The entire experience was no pressure, informative and for $300 I saved a 2k fridge. Very good experience.

The fridge tricked me: seemed like it had to be working.
The light still came on with door opened
Fan and compressor in back also sounded normal
And freezer was still cold
But after a couple of days it became obvious that the fridge was not cool at all.
Gotta do something quick now
Call Appliance Smart and he was able to make it out later that day.
He diagnosed the problem with a relay / timer failed that would normally do a defrost cycle periodically. So no defrost cycle means ice accumulates in the wrong place and eventually no cold air goes to fridge. He immediately did a manual defrost to get some cold air flowing to the fridge again. And was able to order a part for next day delivery, came and installed —snap snap DONE!
One lesson: Don’t be fooled by appearances. #1 - If things start to feel not cold, you want to check it out ASAP with a thermometer and not wait for symptom #2.
Because then a stale smell will announce 2 things: 1) air not circulating and 2) temperature increasing. Even a very clean fridge will have some little spill in it that will go ‘OFF’ when given a chance. -
ApplianceSmart Repair is the best Pro I have worked with so far. Elizabeth the customer service lady is very patient, she gives multiple courtesy calls, and tried her best to accommodating my schedule. I will.certainly use them next time my appliance runs into issues.

I have had 3 issues at my home with my refrigerator, microwave oven and washer .All of which was quickly looked at and service by Moses . The think that was special about his service is that he direct us as a family to where and what we need to keep our equipment working well .

These people are a rip off!
They have a coupon that says free diagnosed and $10 off repair
Moses came out to the house and he charge me $160 for telling me the stove had gunk in the pilot holes . He was there 10 minutes.
He didn't repair anything so if he wanted to charge me the diagnoses that's fine but $75 the most.
He didn't fix the problem I called pseg and they got it fixed
On top of that PSEG FIXES APPLIANCES FREE SO BE AWARE GUYS!
Call PSEG First -
This company is a joke. It took my roommate and I 3 whole days to make an appointment because apparently there is only one person able to make appointments and they were in and out of the office. They didn't even call us back like they said - we had to call countless times. We finally made an appointment, which they later canceled. We called and made another appointment for this evening. My roommate left work early to be home. They called us just now, 10 minutes before the appointment and canceled trying to blame us for "not going through the proper channels to make the appointment". When we repeated our proof of confirmation and the persons name over the phone they told us that they were actually overbooked and probably couldn't come out for weeks. Most unprofessional establishment I've ever worked with. Don't even bother.

I was ready to ditch my Samsung fridge before Moses came. From about 2 years after I had it, it constantly would build up ice behind the evaporator cover and then stop the fan, and then stop cooling the fridge. I had tried to fix it on my own (youtube) but it still didn't work right. My husband gave me an ultimatum...if this guy doesn't fix it, just order a new one. (Of course, not a Samsung!) I was expecting someone who would just say I'll have to come back, I have to order this part, etc., which meant I would just buy a new fridge. I must tell you I was pleasantly surprised with Moses' professionalism and ability to troubleshoot. In less than an hour, he not only diagnosed the problem but fixed it while he was here. My fridge is working great and it saved us at least a grand for a new fridge!
If you want a great appliance repair man, go no further. And very reasonable priced as well!
Thank you Moses! -
Hired them to repair oven, which fire department said was emitting small amounts of gas. They came very late, said it was normal to smell gas when you use the oven and did nothing. Stupidly believed that and asked if they could switch my dishwasher for one I had bought. The repairman said absolutely. Asked for a deposit for parts - $80 asked for it via Venmo or in cash, blew the appointment off several times. Came, was not able to do it, said he would refund the money and never did. Filed complaint with BBB still refuses to refund money - get this, saying that I’m trying to extort money from him!!
Finally Moses said in response to BBB complaint in September that he would return $75 of my deposit by check via mail. Still waiting. -
After showing up late, Moses told me it would $300 to repair my oven and collected a $150 deposit. Then he returned the next day to do the repair and said now it would cost $600 instead. I told him to leave and requested a refund of $85 ($150 - $65 diagnostic fee) and had to file a dispute with Venmo. I then hired a different company who came on time and fixed my oven for $325 within 20 minutes.

Wonderful service. Easy to get a hold of this company and the attention to details is fantastic. I will definitely be calling you guys the next time something in this old house falls apart. I definitely recommend.

My experience with Appliance Smart Repair was excellent. We had them check our refrigerator & stove, we got preventive maintenance done, which was much needed. They were so helpful & very quick to respond. Will be referring them to all my friends & family!!

They schedule me for a service on Avanti wine cooler , they scheduled me for Friday between 2-5pm and got the text message confirmation for the appointment at 4:30pm Moses the technician calls me and tells me he is running little late , made me wait 2 more hours at home after calling him multiple times he told me to reschedule for Monday . Do Not waste with this company very unprofessional . I can not believe Avanti suggested this company as one of their service center

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Horrible customer service!
Moses came out to take a look at our washing machine and quoted us $200+ for a fix he didn't seem very confident would even work. After I asked "what if it doesn't work," he agreed to "split the difference" and take a $100 deposit, and only charge the remainder if it actually fixed the issue. The $100 was to cover the "hassle of returning the part."
He then ordered the part, and said he'd be back in over a week. He called us the day before our appointment and said he still didn't have the part, and wanted to go on vacation, so would not be coming. When we still hadn't heard from him the following week, we called to check on status. He said part still hadn't arrived. After A LOT of nagging on our end, he finally contacted manufacturer to find out issue. Upon finding out that there was an issue with the shipping, WE still needed to be proactive in calling him to find out the status. When we got to the 3 week point of waiting, I told him nevermind, I'll do it myself.
I ordered the part myself (for only $8), it was at my door in TWO DAYS!!!
My main issue isn't even that there was such a huge delay, but that his communication was more-or-less rude and obvious that he didn't want to be bothered.
ALSO NOTE: at least two of the 5-star reviews are from himself and/or family. -
We hired Moses to check our dishwasher which was not draining. He tells us the drain pump is defective and needs to be replace. I asked him if we shld replace the dishwasher or its ok to fix. Since he would be paid only if I fixed it he suggested we fix it. We live in an condo Bldg and my neighbor below had a leak after a few weeks of us getting the dishwasher fixed through Moses. Since they were away on vacation for approx a month when they got back they saw a leak in their apartment. Turns out the dishwasher is leaking in my apartment and has damaged my downstairs neighbors ceiling. I call Moses and would expect him to show up within 24 hours. Ronny horror he expects me to wait a week until he can come to access the damage and tells me we give 30 days warranty. When I called the first time he was there within 48 hours now since he screwed up and does not want to come tells me to wait over a week. It's amazing how he changed when they screw up. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS THEY ARE A QUICK FIX AND NOT RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTORS. I have to spend over 1k to fix the ceiling and buy a new dishwasher. Paid him 225$ for a shit job. Would have been better of going to Lowes and get a new dishwasher than trusting them. Do your self a favor and do not hire them. Horrible Job and no responsibility for their Action.

I found Mr. Potter overpriced and torture to deal with. Here's the story: Mr. Potter gave me an $850 estimate to fix a Jenn Air stove with an ignition problem. I agreed, and it took him quite a number of weeks to find a burner that was needed. He finally came to the house with a white burner that did not match the other three burners on the stove top, which are black. I can't imagine why he thought it might be satisfactory to pay $850 to wind up with a stove that had three black burners and one white one. However, tired of waiting for the part, my wife told him to install it after he said he'd come back and paint it back. He never came back -- and I'm not at all sure if it would have been satisfactory or held up if he had. I went ahead, quickly found the matching black part online for $65 delivered, and installed it myself in 5 minutes. In the course of buying this part, I found out that all the needed ignition parts are very cheap and readily available. I concluded I was badly overcharged, but that's my problem -- CAVEAT EMPTOR! I did however, ask Mr. Potter to refund whatever he charged me for the non-matching part and the labor. He would not tell me what that amount was and he would not refund it. After a dozen emails back and forth -- torture -- he offered to send me $65 for the part I had bought, if I signed a release. I told him I would only accept a refund of what he had charged me for the part and the associated labor, which had been useless to me. Again, he refused to tell me what that was. I conservatively guesstimated $100, and said I'd accept that. He refused. I told him that if he would not refund the cost of a repair which I'd had to redo myself, I wouldn't accept anything. In sum: I found Mr. Potter to be overpriced, not transparent, and unreasonable. That was my experience. Yours may be different. Be sure to get a detailed parts and labor estimate in advance.

Stay away from Smart!
Our dishwasher didn't drain fast and we thought there were food debris insides and wanted to check the bottom filter (?)
Moses came 12:30pm after I called co. twice. Appointment was 9-12noon.
He checked the dishwasher by turning power switch then opened bottom panel and said the motor was bad. It was not available and we needed a new dishwasher.
He quoted $150+ for installation.
I asked to charge all together ($210+tax) to my Visa. He did.
I asked to disconnect the old one so they can take it after delivery of new one.
He checked bottom of dishwasher again and said we needed a small Plumbing job because the pipe was copper (?)
After a while he said he could do it all but it would cost $500 to install! I said I would have the dishwasher seller to deliver and install.
I asked him to refund the installation payment but he said it would cost $10 ,?service charge.
I said I would pay diagnosis fee $60 + now and call visa company not to pay.
Then he accepted $60 and would refund.the first payment of $210+ tax.
After that the bottom panel he opened, it caused obstruction in the kitchen. He, instead of putting back with the scew he took out, he kicked with shoe to close together, twice causing a big 'dent'. I requested to use the scew to keep it in place.
After waiting all morning, Moses came late, didn't open the bottom of the dishwasher, asked $150+, then $500+ for installation of a dishwasher.
He didn't put the panel the way it was with a screw, rather kicked with shoe causing a big dent on our dishwasher panel.
Wasted all morning waiting, spent $60 to get our dishwasher front panel dented! -
Moses is very knowledgeable and professional. I was a bit of a 'nosey' customer; which, I'm sure, is not his favorite. Nonetheless, he patiently explained exactly what he was doing. The job was completed quickly and exactly as promised. Would definitely hire him again!

My oven stopped heating right before the holidays. I searched on homeadvisor and found Appliance Smart Repair and gave them a call. I honestly thought I was going to have to replace the oven or pay a large sum but Moses was able to fix it and at a reasonable price. This was over a year ago and my oven has been working with no problems whatsoever!
