Technician was unable to provide “exact” repair solution. My gas dryer is not fully drying and i still do not know what needs to be fixed. I need my money back for service call

Excellent repair experience with the repair technician Desmond. Arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue and replaced the old part with a new one. Very pleased with the ease of the process.

Great service, the technician (Desmond) had very positive attitude, was very helpful, and although he did not push the maintenance contract option too hard, I ended up signing up with the maintenance package mainly because of the service that Desmond provided today.

It's great when your tech comes in and knows exactly what he is doing. He was able to diagnose the issue in no time and give me options to get it working again. Much appreciated.

The work was great, the technician awesome. But the time frame that the technician will arrive is awful. The window is 8am-5pm. So, if the technician arrives at 4pm you wasted a whole day. They have to do better than that.

The service company responded to my repair within 24 hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Service tech was forcing the new part so much that I thought it was going to break. I got the feeling he didn’t want me in the same room especially when he said “go sit over there”.

the guy Bruce they sent was a nice guy - so i give it 2 stars. But me and Chat-gpt know a lot more about my treadmill then he did.

As I explained, my treadmill was shutting off when i was doing fast intervals (6:20 pace) but otherwise was fine. I bought a new controller board online and installed it. When i did that I also decided to lube the deck because it had been a few years.
(in hindsight, only do 1 thing at time). When i turned it back on, the belt was jerky. I figured my deck belt adjustment for the lube screwed something up (which wasn't true.. read on).

Bruce spent a while on the treadmill. I came to check on it - and he said its fixed. I turned it on a 1 mph and same jerky belt.

He diagnosed - it must be the motor... but you can't get a new motor (from Sears.. but you can online in 2 minutes of searching).

He left. when i had a break, i did what I should have done originally (and he should have done too). I reinstalled the original controller board. The belt turned smooth as butter.

So the new control board is no good. I'm just a guy with Co-Pilot. Sears should know better.

I made an appointment for Monday 1 to 5. At 5 the technician text stated he would not arrive unil 7 ish. I rescheduled to Wednesday 8 to 1, the technician didn't arrive until 2. Please work on this horrible time span. I wasted 2 days and the technician was still not in the assugned time span!!!. The technician was polite and informative, but the nature of the issue with the washer did not necessitate him looking at parts or dismantling the machine. He just advised on usage based on the model and showed me oicture of the mechanics of the machineto.prove there was no need to check filters, etc.. So while I did not have to pay for parts, etc. my wasted 2 days was not worth the service fees to stand and talk.

Sam was on time and excellent fixed a minor issue and explained everything. Really happy to find him.

Fantastic service! I made one call and was here within two hours! Did a full inspection on the stove and oven, was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He replaced the ignition element and was done within a half an hour! Highly recommended!!! Save me over $1000 for a new stove and gave me recommendations for the future!

***Update*** 10-13-2025
I called Sam yesterday Sunday afternoon when I realized my refrigerator stopped working. He was unable to show up due to his child's birthday but assisted me in diagnosing what the problem was. I was able to order the part and install it myself. If it wasn't for him taking out the time to tell me what needed to be fixed or ordered, I'd be buying a new fridge.... Thanks again Sam....$50 part instead of $1500 fridge

Reliable Fast and Local – Highly Recommend

My washing machine had a severe mold problem and an awful smell due to a filthy door gasket (boot seal). I needed it replaced ASAP. Most repair services gave me a wait time of several days to a week but Sam was able to come out the very next day. He also responded quickly to my calls and texts which was a huge plus.

It’s rare to find a dependable local handyman especially around Montclair but Sam exceeded expectations. He was professional punctual and knowledgeable. I had originally bought a cheap Amazon part that didn’t fit but Sam had a better quality replacement on hand that was still more affordable than ordering from the manufacturer.
