They came, they saw, they cleaned everything. They did an excellent job of deep cleaning around the piles of stuff. I appreciate their kindness and professionalism. Would highly recommend the service.

They do not care about keeping their customers, customer service, or even being polite. They are full of excuses and overcharge for no more than a mediocre cleaning job. When I asked that my house be cleaned correctly, they told me they would have to charge me more. Terrible. Do not use them.

The manager lady has a really bad attitude. When we tell her about the poor job the maids have done she starts saying that we are their only customer that complains about the work and that they would not do anything differently anyway.

They seem to not care about losing customers or customer satisfaction at all. This is a bad attitude and it's probably perpetuated because they have enough customers and don't care about losing any.

If enough of us customers write bad or critical reviews they might start changing.

The Maids are the BEST!! I had an emergency, last minute cleaning job for a client who was closing on the sale of their house and they fit it into their schedule and did an amazing job! Highly recommend their services always!

We tried the Maids after being unhappy with our previous cleaning providers who were not a big company....we thought that by paying more $ and going with a more professional company, that we would receive great service. We were wrong. When you call, you will be charged a ridiculous amount of money for your "initial cleaning" - which will be great, and then after you decide to continue the service (which is also very expensive) it will likely progressively get worse and worse until you decide to move on. I have pictures after the team left for the full house cleaning with cobwebs all over the house, toilets unflushed and uncleaned, full garbages left not taken out, huge dustballs under couches, and my personal favorite - food on the floor in the baby's nursery. Please do your homework before hiring a housecleaning company....and my advice....steer clear of this provider.

I hired the maids for a move in clean. They spent about an 1 ½ hours looking really busy and I left the home thinking it was clean. The next day I went over to the home and found that absolutely nothing had been cleaned. The molding and light fixture were covered in filth. The stove and refrigerator still had grease stains all over them. They didn’t clean the dust in any of the closets and, they couldn’t even bother to dust the blinds! These guys are such a rip-off and they charge $270 for this service.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. If you're looking for acceptable customer service, look somewhere else. They take short cuts, they miss spots, one time they used dirty water to clean my kitchen and it smelled so bad, I had to rescrub the entire kitchen. They broke a ceramic piggy bank my 4 year old son make at Color Me Mine without telling us & tried to hide it. They charge an exorbitant amount of money if we go on vacation & have to miss a week - stating the extra week in between demands a higher rate, because they assume the house will be dirtier, even though I explained the obvious: that no one was in the house for 10 days, so, no, the house would not be dirtier because I'm adding an extra week in between cleanings. In addition, they have a strict cancellation policy. I was stuck at an airport on a business trip & couldn't get home & had to reschedule & Arlene wouldn't budge on the cancellation fee, because I was asking to reschedule within 24 hours notice instead of 48 hours notice. I finally said, "I think I just need to cancel your service all together," and she said, "No problem," and hung up on me.

I would not recommend the Maids of Scotch Plains on the basis of value and customer service. They charged $303! for the initial cleaning of a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. After leaving a check for the estimated amount, an already high $253, they claimed a balance of $50 was owed because it took an extra 15 minutes to clean the house. When I spoke to the manager about the issue, she cited a bogus reason why more time had to be spent at the house. When I requested that she waive this balance because despite the high intial fee, I would be interested in booking a monthly service, she would not do so. Too expensive for the service provided.

I waited a while to see if I changed my mind about posting a review but unfortunately I haven't. I paid $270 for a cleaning for 1 bedroom in a 3 bedroom split level house. It wasn't great, but a few days later I noticed underneath my couch in the family area. Completely dusty. I had straightened up the entire house before they came. I wasn't even angry when dirty water spilled on my indian rug, accidents can happen. But to not even clean under the couch? It's a wood floor area! The couch did not even have to be moved! This is unacceptable. I'm off to clean my floors. Ugh.
