They don’t answer the phone! Ever! And when they do they say they’re on another line and that they’ll return your call but they never do.

We needed a temperature gauge replaced in our oven. It took three days and two visits. The purpose of the second visit was because they needed two people to lift the oven...except only one person came the second time as well. So a neighbor and I lifted the oven with the technician.

The technician was in a hurry and caused drywall damage which he declined to do anything about. He also bent part of the stove cover, but we did not notice this until he left. He also did not fully install the gauge. He left it dangling inside the stove. I had to complete the installation myself, since no one ever answers the phone or returns voicemails.

They charged $180 for the part. I found out the RETAIL price on this part is $55. I tried to negotiate him down, but of course he wouldn't budge.

So, in conclusion - don't use All Star Appliance unless:

    * You like doing some of the work yourself
    * You like paying more than 3X the retail price for parts
    * You like having your house and appliances damaged
    * You like paying folks who never call you back and ignore everything you say

It's a lesson you only have to learn once. In the end, I paid just shy of $300 to learn this lesson.
