Atlantis Pool Service did a fabulous job with an acid wash for our pool that had not been used in years! The pool looks beautiful and is operational and wonderful. The scheduling was easy over email and Atlantis Pool Service exceeded all expectations and answered all of our newbie questions and addressed all of our concerns. Thank you!

WARNING!! Zac demonstrated that he does not know how to use, service, clean, and maintain a DE pool filter or the pool in general. He requires payment up front and in my case he did not perform the work and has refused to refund any money. Don’t expect him to show up on the days he says he will show up. He also left trash and cigarette butts laying around both times he came to my house

Zach has been an absolute blessing!
Long story short, I purchased a property knowing full well that it was a fixer upper and it has been a nightmare... my disaster of a pool had a broken pool cover, dead mice, lizards, birds, some car seats and about half of a tree in it. Zach and his employee came out and assessed the situation and got started immediately, I left and came back a week later and was blown away by the results, it was like a brand new pool - sparkling blue water and the pool cover was repaired. EVERYTHING was either replaced or repaired. Completely and utterly STUNNED 😲!!!
I will be using these guys going forward and I highly recommend using this service for anyone who is in need of a good pool man. I don't do reviews, but I'm doing one now...5 stars + for you sir! 🌟 -
Zach, the owner, did an excellent job of taking care of our pool. I was having a difficult time finding a company to service the pool as I opened it in late June and most companies were already booked for the summer. Zach immediately agreed to open and service the pool. Water has looked great all summer.

Do not hire. He did half the job and then said he would charge to come out and finish. We paid him $300 to “winterize” our pool - all he did was put the cover on and flood our shed with water from the pump. Did not: put chemicals, lower water level, winterize lines, remove all plugs from the pump. Wish I had checked yelp before hiring him, lots of reviews there warning this company may be a scam.

I've never had an issue with Zack or his staff. They are always on time and has a positive attitude. I'm glad I found his company and will continue to use them.

Update 6/8/2022 I got a third party to intervene to help resolve this situation to get my pool heater that I paid Zack in full for. I asked Zack for a refund which he did not give. He said he had already bought the heater and would deliver it today. He did not deliver it or respond to the texts or answer his phone. His excuse for not installing a heater that I paid him in full for was that he did not have a plumber. I scheduled another pool service to install the heater tomorrow because he promised it would be delivered today and he failed to deliver it. Whatever you do do not pay this guy in advance he will take your money and not deliver what he promises. It has been 2 1/2 months of excuses. I will see you in court Zack. I will also be contacting the BB Bureau as well.
I paid Zack for a pool heater in March and 2 months later I still don't have it. Zack has given me all kinds of excuses. He assured me him and his plumber would be here today to do the job and complete it and did not show again. He ignores calls and when I do talk to him he has an excuse for everything. I have requested a refund because I don't see him getting the job done. I will probably have to take him to small claims court because he doesn't seem to care. Working with this business has been nothing but a nightmare and disaster. I would not recommend using this company. If you do I suggest you not pay any money up front based on my experience and other peoples reviews. Once he has your money you are not a valued customer. If by some miracle I get my heater or refund without having to take him to court I will update this review. -
This will be our third opening and closing of our pool with Zach. He has been nothing but amazing. He shows up on time every time he makes an appointment. Throughout the season if I have any questions he's always happy to help. If you want an honest and reliable pool service representative, go with Atlantis pool.

We've tried just about every pool service in town and could never get anyone on the phone. We called Atlantis and were able to get Zac to come out and take care of our pool. Our pool was in desperate need of some help. Zac was able to have our pool looking good again in just a few short days. Thank you Atlantis! We are happy to say that we have found ourselves the BEST pool guy in town!!

Do not use this Company, only if you want them to still your money.
The person said he ordered a pool cover and going to install and stupid me gave him cash. Never ordered pool cover! Called and he would hang up as soon as he knew who it was. NEVER INSTALLED! 4/1/25 Just looked at the receipt he gave me, when I paid Zack to buy and install pool cover. So disgusted with Zack! And my pool is fine. Would have used him to help with opening pool! -
DANGER DO NOT HIRE!!!! There seems to be a few reviews here mentioning to beware, adding my own. Hired Zac to purchase and replace a pool pump to my in-ground pool. We settled on a price for the pump and labor, paid him via Venmo (which sketched is out) and we waited. The pump took over a week to arrive and he then continued to flake on us for 10 days after the fact. Constant excuses about weather or no calls whatsoever. Considering we paid him on the 11th of this month and it is now the 28th as of time of writing we were fed up. We cancelled payment via Venmo and then we were hit with a barrage of harassing texts from Zac. He really wanted to get the pump back going so far as to threaten to come onto my property to take it. Turns out he purchased the cheapest Subpar pump available and pocketed the rest of the money in labor instead.
We are well prepared to pay for the pump but we refuse to pay for no labor performed. That shouldn't be a problem then, no skin off his nose he didn't do anything so no pay and we are still paying for the pump so that shouldn't be an issue. The only thing I can figure is he purposely overcharged us, took the money and made some sort of purchase that he now can't afford to pay for. Filing reports to the BBB for harassment and deceptive business practices.
DANGER STAY AWAY MAY ATTEMPT TO RIP YOU OFF!!!! -
Danger! I called Zac who was available but charged me an extra $100 on top of the $325 service call to open my family pool. He arrived and the pool was covered and he removed the top but did not bother screwing down the bolts that hold the cover.
I suggested the pool needed to be drained and acid washed and he said shock would take care of it. He also attempted to repair the jet port/dial and returned later in the day with something he said had been in his shed from a previous job and was good as new and he'd only charge $425 to install a similar set up. I agreed.
When he was working on that project I mentioned the shock he used and the box of shock I bought after he left was not turning the pool blue or killing the Algie.
This was early June a little late for shock only treatment.
Keep in mind I've been working on this pool since 78 and historically it always needs an acid wash but he would not listen.
He would not return calls after he left nor come back and only called after I left a strong message on his phone.
Not only did he leave me in the lurch with a pea green pool (which he did offer to come back for another thousand and acid wash) but it turns out the equipment he installed was junk, It leaks to high heaven and pool barely keeps its prime.
I have had to pay another company to acid wash the pool and repair his set up he installed.
Bottom line, the guy seems cool enough but he also causes a lot of problems. I'd go elsewhere before I let this guy on my property. $700+ I'll never see again. He likes to argue so I'm sure he'll leave a response blaming me somehow. -
I found Atlantis through instagram, and their photos drew me in. Last fall I needed someone to shut my pool down after years of doing it myself.
Shutdown went quick and smooth. Throughout the winter my cover never had any caving issues which i have had happen previously.
This May, I had Atlantis back out for opening and was interested to see how it did over the winter. I was skeptical on how the water quality would be after previous companies opened my cover to reveal green water.
Zac opened up my cover to crystal clear blue water! Another awesome surprise was he had barely any sand or debris spillage from the cover into the water (which always happens to me when I do it). I was pleasantly surprised, and he worked quickly and efficiently. I am very satisfied with his work and will continue to use this company for start up and shut downs, and I am even looking into having him maintain the pool throughout the summer. I highly recommend! -
⚠️ Warning!⚠️
Seriously unprofessional. Consistently untimely, incompetent, unreliable, and negligent. Does not care about outcomes for his customers. And, to top it off, blames customers for his failure.
For your own sanity, avoid this “pool professional.”
I have contacted Zac on several occasions. It seems like most other pool cleaners are booked up and have a waiting list, but Zac doesn’t. There’s a reason. He has consistently failed to complete a job in a timely and professional manner.
I thought the first time or even second time were just flukes. He had plenty of 5-star reviews. So, I thought I’d give him one last chance. NEVER again. 🙅🏻♂️
Here’s why:
On 22 April 2024, I contacted Zac to have my pool cleaned in preparation for Airbnb guests on the 11th of May. I need the pool clean and clear before my guests arrive. My work was taking me out of town, so I needed to hire someone to clean the pool in a timely manner while I was away. I contacted Zac.
He said, “That shouldn’t be a problem.” We confirmed an appointment for 1 May — giving him 10 days to get it fully sorted out. He showed up, noted the pool was about 6” low, and started filling it. Then he left. He didn’t bother doing any other cleaning at that time. I asked when he would return. He said he would return the following Wednesday — only 3 days before guests were scheduled to arrive. I expressed concern that IT wouldn’t be ready on that timeline. He said “[The pool] Should be [ready on the 11th].” “It should be fine.” “I'm pretty confident that I will have it ready for you by the 11th.”
Then, he arrives on the 7th and says that my pool pump has a problem and is not generating pressure. I was on a business trip. I cut the trip short, return home, and check the pump. It had plenty of pressure, and provides plenty of water flow. But, he had left for the day. He said he would return in the morning. He failed to do that. He arrived in the afternoon, and dumped some chemicals in. The pool was still cloudy at night. I told him he needed to sort it out since guests were coming very soon. The result? He canceled the service, leaving me high and dry with a dirty pool.
All I wanted was a clean, clear pool. I was fully willing to pay for whatever the cost would be. He repeatedly assured me that he would get the job done. Then, he completely failed to get the job done, and he dropped the job.
When I emphasized that I have Airbnb clients coming, he responded, “Whatever. You shouldn't offer a pool to your Airbnb business that isn't ready your fault not mine.”
Well, Zac, it would have been ready if you would have done the job you committed to do. Or, if you would have said it’ll take more than 10 days, I could get back to my Airbnb clients and give them 10 days to find a new venue. Your empty promises caused a real problem.
As a consequence, I had to inform my guests, and cancel their booking, costing me in $476.20 in lost revenue.
Zac, you failed to follow through.
But, that’s not all. He previously came to close my pool. He neglected his duties and caused a pipe to break, leading pool water all over. He then came back to fix it, and then charged me for the repair of the damage he caused through his own negligence. Unprofessional.
He advertises that he can do equipment service and repairs, yet, it is apparent that he doesn’t know how to properly diagnose equipment problems. He thought there was a problem with my pump, yet I can confirm it was producing good pressure and flow.
Oh and to top it off, he flicked cigarette butts in my yard and didn’t clean up before leaving. 🤢🤮
Read the other one-star reviews to get a consistent picture of how he treats clients.
If you actually do take the risk to hire him, pay only once the job is completed. Otherwise there’s absolutely no guarantee he’ll complete the work, and will likely leave you hanging.
Good luck! 🍀 -
Our Pool Spa was last serviced prior to us buying our home in January. We decided that we needed to have it cleaned and serviced prior to us using it. Called Zach and he quoted us a reasonable price came out to Los Lunas and did a great job of not only providing excellent service but also gave me education on doing the necessary items to maintain the spa. Gave us a Veteran Discount which I appreciated very much and will have him come back to do the necessary maintenance next time.
