Fabulous staff knowledge. Very helpful for do-it-your selfers! Especially as a female, I was treated with respect, instead of the usual disdain. Sure, it's a little dated, but, they have the goods.

Poor customer service, employees don't know what products and appliances are available, not very good selection of, for example, heaters. Stopped at a Samon's location several days ago, dealt with unknowledgeable, unhelpful, sales personnel.

Greg was exceptional in helping me solve my plumbing issue today (Eubank/Montgomery store). The experts at Samons are wonderful, and they have been reliable in locating parts not available in the big box stores. I hope they are around for a long time.

I have been shopping at Samon's since before they moved to their current location. Between the helpful and friendly staff, and a practical selection, I haven't had a home maintenance project go wrong when I start here with my list of supplies. If they don't have it, they can tell you where to get it.

The employee at Samon's on Montgomery took the time to help me find the exact shower faucet handle I needed. Staff is helpful & friendly. I always find what I need with good prices, too.

I walk in and it's dead quiet except for a few people talking, no one says hello as I walk in, no one asks if I need help, an employee just rubbernecks me while speaking to a customer but says nothing just wants to catch a glimpse for some reason, I always test the cashier to see if they'll actually say hi but of coarse she doesn't so I don't either, why should I kiss your ass? I'm the customer kiss mine! good prices however

This store has excellent customer service! We were having trouble with an evaporative cooler motor that we had purchased, and they took extra time with us to help us diagnose the problem.

After several other stores didn't have what I needed (including Lowes/Home Depot) I decided to stop here... Jay gave me great customer service, explained everything I needed and proceeded to help me gather the needed supplies! Great customer service, low prices, and a good selection to choose from. Always a good experience - Just wanted to share that I really do enjoy shopping at Samon's, especially if I'm still "figuring out what I need" for a home project. Their staff are consistently welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. Thank you!

I cannot give this place enough stars, especially Al, the manager. Every person that has seen my swamp cooler in the past couple of years has told me that I needed a new one. My pump was so outdated that it would have taken 2 weeks to be shipped. Amazon was the soonest.

I called there blindly by recommendation of a friend and got a human. I did this with Lowes and Home Depot. I did eventually get a human at those businesses, but they didn't know much about the products.

Al walked me through every step of the way. He gave me his cell phone number. He was personable. I learned that one of his daughters and I both do the same profession.

I honestly felt and was told that as naive to this whole process that I was, I could have been blindly ripped off, but i later learned that was the extreme opposite. I really didn’t get a discount or any special service. I was an average shopper and that’s what they do.

I’ll never go to Lowes or Home Depot again without going to Samons first. It was just so genuine. That goes far in today’s society. In fact, all of the employees were great.

For anyone reading this, I highly recommend the Master Cooler and the rebate from PNM is great. I cannot believe how different my house is and I wish I did this sooner.

The store personnel act as if it’s an inconvenience to help you find a product. I’ve been in multiple times over many years and it’s always the same. I won’t shop here unless it’s a last resort.

Anytime I need a part and my supply houses are too far. Samons always comes through, and willing to help

I went in looking for a simple fitting. The elderly man that was tasked to help me seemed more interested in his crossword puzzle on his newspaper rather than helping me look for a very simple piece. His tone and energy seemed as if he was upset he actually had to get up and help or answer any questions. If you don’t want to work or offer any customer service stay retired. Bad look and will never go back. The store is dark and dingy and I get that is who they would have running it. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a long time.

On Labor Day: water heater went out.. had horrible experiences at both Home Depot and Lowe’s trying to purchase new one and get installed next day. Very rude customer service from both. EXCELLENT customer service from Samon’s… very knowledgeable, helpful .. manager (Greg) even called installer while we were there and viols.. he was working and could pick up, install and remove next day … for $600-700 besides cost of heater!!! Lowe’s installer wanted $3,000, including purchase, to pick up, install and remove. He will be installing today!!!!!! So happy with Samon’s professionalism, friendliness, and product knowledge. Very refreshing after HD and Lowe’s!!!! And support staff was also very patient and helpful with purchase ,,,

I don't know how they do it. Every plumbing part and more . . . at great prices? Samson's distinctive brand is old-fashioned counter service with a smile 😊.

Their team works for you personally. Take the part you need with you to the store. A knowledgeable member can guide you to the right choice with no hassles or overselling.

I've been using them for over 20 years. Tried in blue, Samon's is a value, True!

Called to see if they had mastic for HVAC...lady who answered the phone was very rude and sounded like she hates her job. "No worries, thank you, have a good one" was met with being hung up on before I finished the sentence. Opposite of what their website advertises, wont come in in the future and will tell other contractors to avoid.
