The professional employees at Four Star Mechanical installed a brand new furnace for us this month. They worked quickly on a cold evening to be sure we weren't without heat overnight and explained how to use and monitor the system. They took the time to clean up the area and made sure the furnace was in good working order before they left. We will certainly recommend them to friends and family.

When I got the call to "Schedule Service," it ended up being a visit for a "quote." Had I known they needed to come for a quote, I would have scheduled as soon as possible and not scheduled time off to be there for the "service" I thought I was getting. They did not mention on the initial phone call that they need a quote first as it is going through my home warranty company. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!! All to start over at square one with a new company who called and showed up same day, not weeks later, to "give me a quote."

I called Four Star last week and asked if I could get an estimate on how much it would be to replace a flex duct heater crossover under a mobile home. The home is a 30 minute drive west of Albuquerque, so I was told they would charge me $100 for the estimate because of the drive. I agreed on the price and made an appointment for today 1/9/23. Today the technician called me and said he was getting ready to head out to do the estimate. He said the clock starts now. When I told him that there was a flat $100 charge for the estimate he told me to call the office. When I called the office, they informed me that the price is now $200. $100 for the drive and an extra $100 for an hour of labor to do the estimate, which would only require a tape measure and 5 to 10 minutes. When i questioned the additional charge, Evelyn responded by telling me that I obviously do not understand the service industry. At that point I politely canceled. Such a waste of time.

I wish there was a negative 5 rating, this company was the worst. After spending an obscene amount of money, for 2 new gas hookups for mobile homes that didn't pass inspections. Four Star came back out and "fixed" the issue after several unpleasant phone calls and days later, and it still didn't pass. The inspector finally had to show them the proper way to hook up the gas lines. It was the worst experience I've had with a company!

Updating my review from 2020 to Today July 28, 2025... Just wanna give a BIG SHOUT OUT ABOUT how fast, how diligent, how awesome, four star mechanical Services Inc CONTINUES TO BE! We were air fry'n with broken AC motors on each floor... and four star saved us today! THANK YOU!

Needed service on my hvac unit and plumbing issues and was very satisfied with the service and price. Will definitely call them again. Much better than others I have used in the past.

They were assigned to my home by my home warranty company. When they came to our home, we told him the symptoms of our house, not really knowing what was wrong. We thought it was a plumbing issue. We advised him that there was water leaking and a loud noise when we tried to turn on the AC, and that the AC was no longer working also. He diagnosed without actually looking at everything and missed the real issue, the broken fan. I can verify that he never turned on the AC to hear the noise and never opened the compartment that has the issue. He closed the case with my company and never offered to fix the real issue or give us an offer on fixing the real issue. Waste of $125 dollars. The problem is that the company wasted tons of time when I could have been filing another claim and getting my issue resolved.

4 Star is the best. We were referred to them 10 years ago. We truly appreciated their service. Evelyn is honest and affordably priced. The plumbers are courteous, respectful and trustworthy.
