I called Roy on Thursday last week, got a appointment for Monday morning. Had to cancel, but they came around noon and fixed a bathtub which was old and complicated. he also fixed my second bathroom and the fixtures are new. Friendly and efficient would be my description Roy.

Dean did a great job for me, he came out to assess my problem and we realized we needed to have the water dept come over first thing the following morning to turn my water off! I called them at 6-am to be at my house at 8:30. Dean was prompt, even a bit early. We had to wait about 10-min for the water dept! Dean got to work immediately and worked quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend Dean for any plumbing problems!

Dean from Simmons plumbing was an impressive professional to deal with. He was on schedule and had all the skills to complete the job faster than anticipated. Simmons Plumbing Company is first-class: professional, punctual, and well-priced.

First off, I called several companies and Simmons promptly returned my call and fit our service into their schedule just two days later. I was given an arrival window of 8:30 to 9:00. At precisely 8:30 I received a call that Dean was 5-10 minutes away. Sure enough, Dean showed up as he said he would. This is shocking to me because we have used a larger company in town many times for our plumbing and cooling needs and they always give a 4-hour window and often show up much later with zero apologies for making you wait 5 hours (I suspect said big company overbooks its technicians which can be awful for the technicians and customers).

Dean serviced our swamp coolers and found a problem that the big company missed (likely because that big company splits their focus on trying to sell me a new system or their annual service contract). Dean fixed the problem and got the coolers up and running in short order. The price was commensurate with his time.

Based on this experience, I recommend Simmons Plumbing without hesitation.

Simmons Plumbing was reccomended to me yesterday when it was discovered I needed a new valve to be able to install a new dishwasher. They came out today and worked around my schedule. The work was done quickly (I added fixing a leaky faucet in my bathroom) and for a reasonable price. I am pleased! Thank you!

David went above and beyond our expectations for our last three jobs. The professionalism and customer services provided was outstanding. He and his father has provided services to my family for over 35 years, two different generations and it's still the quality that it was 35 years ago. You don't see that these days, you're lucky if you even get customer service at all. This company will provide you what is needed and at the most reasonable price. David was very "honest" of what was our best options. He also cares for his customers. Not only do they provide plumbing but HVAC services and much more. This company is one of the best in town! You will be pleased with their service.

I chose Simmons based on a friend's recommendation. I called and scheduled an appointment a week and a half out to come fix a bathtub faucet leak, which occured in Oct 2024. This company visited my condo complex a couple of weeks prior in order to service another unit. Two hours prior to my appointment on the day of the visit, 'Dean' informed me that their company is not in charge of notifying the Alb Water Authority of water shut off needs. After a mad scramble on my part to contact my property manager and the Water Authority (5 calls later), the water was indeed shut off. Dean arrived, began working, and completed the job in about 1 1/2 hours. I was home the entire time and at one point, I heard something drop and bang stuff on its way down. I asked if everything was okay, to which Dean responded yes. I called the water authority to reinstate water service, which took them 25 minutes to come do. Dean remained at my home during this time to make sure everything worked properly once the water was back on. We chatted some, he was professional, and he stated he had worked for the company for many years. Fast forward to that evening when I was cleaning up after the visit (why don't plumbers clean up after themselves???). I noticed two new bathtub chips in the ceramic and a scratched/soiled toilet seat lid, like tools or something were scraped across it. I called Simmons and left a message 3 times over the course of a week requesting that the owner, David Simmons, give me a call regarding the visit. I was seeking repair of the damage or a discount on the original cost. I did not once receive a call back from either the owner or from Dean. This is an unacceptable level of customer service practice. I will not recommend Simmons to anyone.

David kept missing appointments to get our kitchen sink running. Then when he did arrive we did not appreciate his attitude and lack of professionalism. After a little while working on our kitchen sink he said he didn’t have the parts to continue and would be back in up to a few days because he had two commercial jobs he had to work on. So we still don’t have a sink and/or dishwasher to wash our dishes. Also, it was noon on a Friday, so the supply shops were still open for parts. I do not recommend David Simmons for any plumbing work. Fail.

I have used Simmons Plumbing over the years. Stellar service from both David and Dean. They are professional, pleasant, efficient and true experts. They get to the root of the problem. Highly recommend.

So Simmons Plumbing used to be one company and the Simmons brothers now have separate companies, from what I understand.

I called Roy Simmons and Sheila to replace my hot water heater and also an outside faucet, also start up my swamp cooler. Sheila is very responsive in answering phone calls and setting appointments.

Roy and Sheila show up on time and get the job done fast and correctly. Their work is first rate and affordable. Roy really knows his stuff. He also likes to interact with animals at his worksite, which is rare. Highly recommend them!

Our experience with Simmons was a great experience. They were on spot with their quote, appointment and exact on with their repair. Dean was prompt and on time and explained everything about our repair. He had us up and running within 4 hours and we didn't get charged an arm and a leg. I would recommend them to family and friends. If you think someone is charging more than you think it's worth, GET A SECOND QUOTE FROM THEM. They will tell you straight.
