HVAC reviews in Las Cruces, New Mexico

While this company did send someone to do a simple repair on my AC unit, I think the price gouging is really bad. I was quoted $95 for a service call. The repairman came out, replaced a contactor (which costs about $30 at the most), and a few wires, taking about an hour of labor. My bill was $430. I should have asked before he started working what this was going to cost. So, buyer beware!

We have called on Jesus and Premier numerous times to address the HVAC at two houses. Jesus and his son are the best. I strongly recommend them for all your needs.

We have called on Jesus a number of times to inspect the HVAC systems of homes we were buying—- always good to do if the system is over 10 years old! He is always on time, very thorough, and always recommends what you do need and nothing you don’t. We recommend him highly.

One thing I've noticed since I've been here are the complaints about trades people. This isn't one of those. Jesus Manuel Hidalgo of Premier HVAC, has just installed mini splits in our home. He came and looked then gave me a reasonable price. (I requested bids from 4 other companies, responses were minimal at best, the two that bothered to respond at all gave prices that were let's say questionable.) Jesus gave me a price, explained it, requested a reasonable deposit, he and his crew then showed up on the agreed date, at the agreed time, did the work professionally, picked up after themselves, were courteous and didn't try and invent some reason to bump up the bill. I Highly recommend them

Great experience with Premier HVAC Services. I was worried it might be hard to get an appointment when I woke up to our house being 80 degrees in the middle of a heat wave. Jesus was able to get us in that morning with a technician.
Work was completed quickly, efficiently, and with a good price. It's been over 24 hrs and we haven't had any issues since with our system.
Billing was easy to complete with online payment.

Jesus took care of us showing up on time and was very thorough and polite. He explained everything. We have rentals and have been looking for an honest HVAC company. We are buying the service plan which is a great value. He checked for a leak we thought we had and going over the entire. We are in great shape for the winter. Highly recommend this company!

Bought a $20 cheap Chinese part. Turned out I didn't need it. Tried to return it less than two hours later, new in box. They said it was installed and refused return. Avoid this place, I always try to support local but will be going to Home Depot or Lowe's next time.

Just FYI, these guys don't sell parts without an account which requires a license. Do it yourselfers not allowed. I can understand the freon but simple parts ?? . Oh well.

I've been here many times and never had any customer service worth mentioning but on the last trip to pick up supplies, Christopher gave the best costumer service I've had at that location. Friendly and helpful.

Ruben provided us with exceptional customer service services. He was fast, professional, and knowledgeable. He was able to provide me with a motor for my furnance which no other company in Las Cruces carried or would not help me because I didn't have a serial #. As soon as Ruben saw the motor I brought in he knew exactly what to get me. Thank you Johnstone supply!

Excellent customer service! They helped us troubleshoot and find the part we needed to repair our 17 year old Lennox furnace. When its 30 degrees outside, you need your heat. Thank you!

They don't sell parts without an account which requires a license that’s bad.The one in El Paso sales to the public so anyone needs parts head over to the one in Tony lama

Awesome service! A family member sent my daughter a package from here and it did not have a note etc for us to figure out who sent it or why- I called them up and they were so kind in looking into it immediately- they were very personable and even asked if we liked the products! I could tell they knew the sender and the entire conversation was pleasant! And the products are awesome!

Don't bother trying to buy anything from them. They don't sell to the public. Their excuse is "they have to protect their contractors"
After 30 years in my own business that's about the stupidest excuse I have ever heard for not wanting to take my money and sell me what I need. Contractors need to protect themselves by offering great service, not by trying to force customers to them by not selling retail. That's ok, plenty of online sources for parts, but the "buy from local businesses" push goes down the drain.
Update: gotta love the copy and paste on responses to reviews. It wasn't more than 4 years ago when I bought something at Johnstone. Also, note the positive reviews are all from several years ago.
