Update/Maintenance on AC unit. The Sevice Tach. Check the AC unit to ensure that it was running properly. Check the compressor unit. Check the coolant level. Make sure proper temperature inside house was accurate. Clean unit on the outside of the house. Inform customer of everything he did. Matt was very nice attentive and knowledgeable about his job. Mcallister used to be the best in the Southtowns. I would have given them 5-stars easily. We used them many, many times and always had great and honest service. Then their owner TJ retired and things went downhill. We've had so many problems since then with installation errors and overbilling. We also now find heir support staff difficult to deal with. Unfortunately after using McAllister for over 20 years we feel we must move on to another HVAC company.

McAllister PLumbing was great to work with and did a great job installing a Generator for my dad this Summer. Ryan (Sales) was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Installers Jeff & Ryan were two of the most competent and professional installers I have ever work with.

McAllister pushed to sell me a new furnace rather than a repair on a furnace that they installed 12 years ago. Another company repaired the furnace with a part that has a life time warranty. They also cleaned up other messes that McAllister caused. Several years ago Mcallister installed a hot water tank. I was quoted a price but after the work was complete, there was an increase in price because “the job entailed more work”. Buyer beware.

We've used McAllister for all of our plumbing/heating needs for the past 10 years and have had mostly good experiences. However, recently we have had some bad experiences that have caused us to decide to take our business elsewhere. About a year ago one of their plumbers was here and forgot to shut off a valve and flooded our bathroom. He then left without even offering to help clean up the huge mess he made. McAllister reimbursed me for the inconvenience but the incompetence of the plumber was concerning. Then, recently we had them out again to fix a leaky shower head. The plumber told us he needed to come back because he didn't bring the right tools. What he failed to mention was that he also broke the shower rendering it unusable which we had to discover ourselves the following morning. To make matters worse, Amy at the office then proceeded to argue with me about whether or not the shower was already broken, they wanted to charge additional fees to come back out to fix the problem they created, etc... Overall terrible experience. Will be looking for a new plumbing company.

Just wanted to take a few minutes to say how satisfied we were with Ryan, Nick and Peter who spent two days in the cold installing our generator. They were on time each morning and worked all day at times in the dark with the winter early evenings. The work was neat and professional with only minor power interruptions. High praise to the team.
Also want to give cudos to Matt who responded to our emergency call the next day to fix our furnace . He arrived before going to the office and found the problem quickly to correct the issue. I was originally questioning the fact that we were not getting call backs for some issues we had but the system worked well for our latest emergency. Keep up the great work.

Didn't show up for first appointment, when they came the second time they didn't fix the issue and left without saying anything. When I called to figure out what is going on they blew me off. It has been going on for over a week now and my toilet doesn't work correctly.

I have McAllister Plumbing and Heating do all my plumbing, heating and cooling work including annual maintenance of my furnace/air condition units and sump pumps, going on 5 years now, and counting. I believe it's best to stay with one outfit to maintain the vital mechanical units of my house, due to continuity and their familiarity with the units. That means I trust their workmanship and professionalism, and they haven't given me a reason to break this trust. I recommend them highly if you're looking for the same needs.

Being in the residential home renovation business, I like to believe I can fix anything. Then I met my match with my Lennox G71MPP variable capacity furnace.
This is a long review so feel free to jump to the summary below if you so desire...
Two days before leaving for a 10 day vacation, we noticed the furnace had a hard time staying at temperature. After spending five hours on YouTube trying to diagnosis this problem, I thought I had it working. However, it was displaying a code i could not interpret. Given we were leaving in two days, I called Mcallister (first time ever) and spoke to Katie. She and TJ (the owner) called me back an hour later and told me the code was nothing to worry about and to go enjoy my vacation. They never billed for the time.
Two days after returning home from vacation, the furnace again started having trouble keeping the house heated. After spending another five hours on YouTube I called Katie at Mcallister! She had Matt come out the next morning. In five minutes he noticed I had a hairline crack in the drain trap and also found I had an issue with my thermostat. He was able to temporarily get the furnace to hold heat while the parts were ordered.
A week later Matt arrived to install the parts. Everything was working when he left. Two hours later I noticed the furnace was not reaching temperature. So I called McAllister to inform them.
It was Friday after hours, so Chris was on duty and called me back three times that evening to find out how we were doing. He insisted on coming out to look at the furnace. Chris spent three hours with me trying to determine the issue even though we had enough heat to stay warm until Monday. (This is after he had already worked fifteen hours that day).
Monday comes and Katie and TJ were on the phone with me to discuss a plan they had. At this point the issue was so darn unique that the Lennox company got involved (for a second time in three days) and provided TJ with additional areas to investigate. TJ took the time to detail what they were thinking, which I really appreciated.
They sent Jeff the next morning. He again understood me, his customer, by taking the time to explain everything to me as he went along. He spent three hours investigating gas valve and pressure switch pressures. Because of his ten years Lennox experience, he found a clogged orifice the size of a pinhole in a tube one inch long. In addition, a thermostat wire installed by a previous heating company 10 years earlier was not connected properly and prevented the furnace from working like it was supposed to.

In summary...
The above detail I felt was necessary to demonstrate the great lengths and dedication which McAllister went with me to fix my heating problems.
* McAllister respected me as a customer by allowing me to work and observe along side them
*Not once did they suggest (my biggest fear) that it was a cracked heat exchanger or blower motor that many other companies try and shortcut to to sell you a new furnace.
* They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly the entire time.
* We finally have a variable capacity furnace that runs as it should for the first time 13 years after installation!!!
*McAllister billed reasonably for the amount of time and energy they spent on us to resolve our problem.

My hot water heater exhaust chimney was blocked, gas company showed me the carbon monoxide reading and shut it down. The guys from McAllister showed up promptly, figured out the problem without much fuss, fixed that hot water heater AND another hot water heater that had been shut down long ago, probably for the same reason. I have a few more projects I’ll be hiring them to do.

I help my cousin with maintenance and personal issues regarding her and her home. When she had a heating problem a few years ago we tried McAllister Plumbing. So glad we did. Not only do Jeff and Brian do great work but the office staff is great.When there is a problem both Danielle and Katiedeal with my cousin in such a helpful, kind manner. Then they call me, no matter HOW busy they are, to update meon the situation. I sincerely appreciate their kindness.

Just had a new furnace installed and the installers we're top notch. They were very clean, efficient and friendly. McAllister's titles themselves the "fair price guys" and I think they are just that. They are honest and give you there opinions without selling you a bunch of stuff you don't need. Thank you for running an upstanding company.

We were treated like we were family by the team at McAllister. From the office staff to the hands on repairmen, everyone was knowledgeable, polite, and eager to solve our furnace issue. At every step of the repair, they kept us abreast of costs associated with the repair I will refer friends and family to McAllister with confidence.

McAllister Plumbing services my furnace, air conditioning and stand-by generator every year. They are always on time, polite, professional and very thorough. This year I also had to have them repair a leaky bathroom faucet which now works perfectly. Thank you McAllister Plumbing for years of excellent service!

We had McAllister's come out to replace the furnace and humidifier. I called for a quote, spoke to Ryan about my options and what he suggested, and was scheduled so fast I couldn't even believe it! WOW is all I can say...the guys were professional and personable. The work area is MUCH cleaner than what they walked into (sorry guys) and they took the time to walk us through all the ins and outs of what they did and what to expect. We recently had a new furnace and AC unit sold and installed by McCallister. Ryan was an incredible salesmen helping with understanding what unit was best for our home while applying no sales pressure whatsoever. We planned on getting several more estimates but I was so impressed by Ryan’s professionalism that we decided the price was extremely fair and purchased in the first meeting. The install we expected to wait a long period but were surprised that within a week they scheduled us! The installation crew showed up and were incredibly professional. We have a very old house from 1860 and once they found several dangerous hazards due to poor installs in the past they went about and beyond putting in new vents and re mortaring our chimney (none of which was in the original estimate they did free of charge) to make sure that my family and I were not in a hazardous scenario for carbon monoxide. They did all of this without saying “well this is more than we expected do you want us to fix this? If so this is what it will cost...” like I’ve experienced in the past. They did a full walk through of everything they did and why and if I could I would rate all 4 of these men well over 5 stars. To the owners of this business I can only say you should be extremely proud of this team. Thank you all for doing well more than you had to and never once trying to take advantage of my family. I Woke up to a cold house. I called McAllister and Angie in the office put me on hold for zero seconds! Within 30 minutes Matt was at my door fixing our furnace! Great Job Team!

Thank you again McAllister Plumbing! My stationary tub in basement backed up and left water all over basement floor. I called McAllister Plumbing right away and Andy came out the same day; actually within a few hours. Beverly called me to let me know when he was on the way and the approximate time he would arrive. Always on time! Andy quickly diagnosed the problem and solved my issues. He was very polite and informative and had excellent recommendations for me. Amy called me the next day to make sure I was pleased with the service and if I had any questions or concerns. McAllister Plumbing has provided great service and satisfaction time and time again. They have replaced all the old galvanized steel water lines, put in a new hot water tank, a new dryer vent, fixed shower and kitchen faucet leaks, unclogged drains and sewer line. They are my " go to team" when I have plumbing or heating issues and I highly recommend them. Fair prices, great customer service and very professional!

Tried getting a hold of these guys not once, not twice, not 3 times, but 4 times and haven't gotten a call , email, nothing. Can't communicate obviously no good for future issues.
