Honest/reliable/family owned company…these days it’s so hard to find a company not bought out by a big guy that’s not even local! Went above and beyond to get us a new ac unit and coordinate it with us as we had some things to do first. Every single person that came to our house was incredible at what they do. Thanks!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this HVAC company. I actually grew up with the owner’s son, so I’ve known their family for years, and they’ve always been reliable, honest, and hardworking. Over the past couple of years, I’ve had a few furnace issues come up, and every single time they were there right away to help.

Last winter, in the middle of the cold season, they showed up promptly to inspect the system and got everything running smoothly again. This year, they came through just as fast—had the repair done within 24 hours of my call. The heat is something you can’t go without in Buffalo winters, and they made sure I didn’t have to.

Truly great service, fair prices, and people you can count on. Highly recommended!

Uggghhh... 20 degrees outside... suddenly realized my house had dropped down to 55. Fuse wasn't tripped, gas was still working on the stove, thermostat looked fine. Time to call an HVAC professional.

Started with Evergreen Heating & Cooling... John answered: "So sorry, we're booked solid for the next 6 days. But I'd highly recommend Schall & Young out in Hamburg." (I'm in Buffalo)

Looked at Schall & Young's Google reviews -- only 4.4 Stars. But started reading through their reviews and realized, they're all strong 5 Star reviews.

So I took the risk, and am so glad I did.

Sue (in the office / answered the phone): Phenomenal - efficient, effective, friendly (texting and on the phone). Top-Notch. She immediately put me in touch with Evan, "Yes, not only do we serve Buffalo, I happen to be in the neighborhood."

I can't overestimate how refreshingly positive the entire experience was. Evan was gracious, competent, trust worthy, personable, and worked FAST. I mean, not only did he troubleshoot fast, but literally -- he was fast.

Their rates are lower (HVAC industry Service-Call and Hourly-Rates are HIGH). But their support and expertise is Top-Tier.

In the end, it ended up being dead batteries in the thermostat; don't get me wrong, they weren't totally dead (it still worked) -- but dead enough that the thermostat was malfunctioning.

Evan could have taken me to the cleaners (I would never have known it wasn't the thermostat, or the furnace circuit board). Nope. In and out in no time, and even ran to the store to purchase new batteries to test his theory.

Could have been a super expensive disaster. Wow... honesty is so important when hiring technical professionals. Peace of mind. Schall & Young are my new HVAC professionals.

Twice I've used them- both time they were very fair, timely, and professional. The other time I called elsewhere, I felt like I was robbed. These guys are trustworthy and professional.
