I currently have an issue with water in my basement. I contacted Balkan to get an inspection since they previously changed my sewer line. They immediately gave me an appointment within 3 hrs. Javed came on time and was very professional. He inspected my basement and determined it wasn't a sewer issue. However, he informed me that it was fresh water that was possibly coming from my neighbor's side. He recommended that I contact 311 to file a complaint for a DEP referral. I followed his lead. DEP came in, gained access to my neighbor's basement and tested his line. They concluded that his line was broken and was causing water to flow into my basement through the foundation wall. Thank you JAVED for professionalism. Balkan should be pleased to have you as an employee.

Javed with Balkan was prompt, helpful, education, educational, and patient. Even though they gave me a large window for my appointment, they were quick to narrow the time down and to provide me a link to check on the arrival time of my representative.

Balkan serviced my sewer backup through my insurance company American Water Resources (you can get this insurance through DWP) and I highly recommend it!!! Balkan came very quickly once I explained the emergency and the technician did a great job clearing the sewer clog. He was courteous and efficient. It would be a really nice bonus if the technicians brought rags to help you clean up the mess!

I had a water main break and I called and spoke to Leon at Balkan. He was completely professional as I was I bit panicked because I was suddenly without water. He was able to squeeze time in the next day for his rep to come and assess my issue. At that time I was provided with a price, it was explained to me what they would be doing and they gave me the date they would arrive. I was provided with a contract, that I signed electronically. I paid half prior to their service. On the following Monday, the plumbing team was there on time, they were polite, funny and accommodating. They covered my floors and rugs as my inside water meter was in my living room in the front of my home but under a panel.
Marcus (sp) was especially awesome!!! The repair took a few hours. They cleaned up the area before they left. The next day the cement team replaced my side walk and driveway area and they also replaced the black top in the city street. I called to pay the balance but Leon told me to wait a day to make sure I was completely satisfied with my service. Within 2 days, their representative called to collect the remaining balance. I HIGHLY recommend this company! They were quick, courteous and PROFESSIONAL at all times.

The technician, Joseph, let me know when he was on his way to the house. He was very courteous and helpful in helping to clear the clogged drain. He cleared the p-trap, cleared the blockages at the basement drain and toilet, and made sure that the pipes were flowing freely. He also snaked the main drain for the house. We are happy with the services provided, and will call Balkan again if needed.

We have utilized Balkan Sewerage and Water Main Service on several occasions with excellent results. They have always arrived in a timely fashion with all the equipment necessary to resolve our problems. Their technicians have always been courteous and informative, explaining what the problems were and what was done to properly correct them. What can I say… Eli and Sonia at the front desk were so respectful and kind, answers the phone immediately. Kevin Jonas was the most relaxed plumber I’ve ever met, he solved my mainline clog fast… he went the extra mile to do a deeper clean, and suggested maintenance solutions to keep my mainline clean. It was a perfect service and free lesson in plumbing 101. Balkan is the king of NYC plumbing for a reason.

My only gripe is they are in high demand and wait times may be a little slow, but it’s worth the wait if you want things done right.

The DEP came to inspect a water main line damage under my house and gave me 3 days notice to hire work. I contacted Balkan and met Javed Baksh the day after. He was extremely kind, professional, and explained things to me well. I would recommend him to others for this process!

I had plumber Delavon come out to fix my drain. He was professional, informative, friendly and told us when he would arrive. Finally, he made sure to snake the trap twice which sometimes I have to ask plumbers to do. He didn't leave until he saw that that water was cleared from trap. He was sent via the AWR program. Also, I had a few rags lying around from water and plumber asked politely to use it to ensure there would be less mess. First time I had a plumber ask me of that which was great made cleanup easier.

Big thanks to A.J. from Balkan plumbing. He fixed an outdoor leak for us today and was professional every step of the way. He even gave us some great proactive advice about getting line insurance. If you need a plumber who is honest and efficient, he’s your guy!" Thank you.

After a bad experience with a plumber the day before I called Homeserve for another source. They gave me Balkan and said they would be at my home between 5pm & 9pm. Balkin called back within the hour and told they could be here between 1pm &4pm. The tech arrived and called prior to arrival with ID. photo. The job was completed within 40 minutes something the other contractor could not accomplish. The tech was professional, polite and informative . A company and it's workers that take pride in doing a job well in this day and age is rare .From the initial call to the completed job this was truly a notablee experience.
