Exceptional Work on Both Our Roof and Siding!

We recently had both our roof and siding replaced by Exceptional Exteriors, and the entire experience was phenomenal. From day one, Jessie was outstanding—he was more than just a salesman; he was our go-to guy throughout the entire project. He was on-site regularly, kept us informed every step of the way, and made sure we were 100% satisfied with every detail.

The new roof looks flawless and has held up beautifully in the unpredictable Rochester weather. As for the siding—wow! It completely transformed the look of our home. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and clean-up afterward were all top-tier.

Jessie made what could have been a stressful process incredibly smooth and stress-free. You can tell he takes real pride in his work and truly cares about his clients. If you’re looking for high-quality work, honest communication, and a company that delivers on every promise, Exceptional Exteriors is it. And if you can, definitely ask for Jessie—he’s the real deal.

We reached out and hired this company to hang new gutters for us. They don’t give you a specific date/time to show up, only a window that spans across several weeks. They eventually showed up without notice Monday, 11/1/21. Two Hispanic males came (seemed to be sub-contracted, unsure, they didn’t know who Daryl Sadwick was). The guys were lazy and hack (see sloppy work in attached pics). Shortly after they arrived, a “project manager” called my husband to meet him at our house (leaving work without notice) to pay in full/ahead of completed services. My husband for some reason paid before services were completed. Upon my husband and me getting out of work around 4, we came home to aluminum pieces and nails all over the driveway. They completely mess up a fascia over the back porch, claiming in Spanish they could fit it in ( to their surprise, my husband speaks Spanish). They left old gutter latches on the house, and installed down spouts crooked. At this point gutter brackets are coming off the house. We reached out to Daryl on the afternoon of 11/1/21 (first day) to advise of issues, and he claim he would send someone. My husband has reached out 3 other times since then and still no one has been out. Daryl advised yesterday he would come and check out these issues today 12/7/21 at 4pm. He never showed, never called. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND “Exceptional Exteriors” to anyone. There is nothing at all exceptional about the company , service or product they produce.

If I could give them a zero star I will. This is not to bash them but hopefully this does not happen to another customer. If you do decide to go with this company get on a ladder and check their work/your gutters.

The roofing project was only supposed to take one day to do, but it took longer than expected due to quality issues
- They came to my house unannounced and don't communicate when they are coming by( I will see them on my ring doorbell)
-They send subcontractors to your house that do not speak English
-Every time I ask the contractors what is supposed to be done, they always tell me something different, and I have to contact sell rep to ensure the correct things are being done/ communicated with the staff
-They came to my house and just started working on the roof, and they did not correct the issue for the correct shingles multiple times
-I voiced my concerns to the sale rep and no management contacted me to check in with my concerns
-Even though I voiced my concerns, they did not even offer a discount for their wrongdoing

My house is beautiful! The crew worked diligently everyday, long hours to get the job done right. They definitely knew their craft. The work was completed in 6 days! They did their best to leave the work site cleared and safe at the end of each workday. Any questions and concerns I had were addressed promptly by the contractor and supervisor. We have new siding, gutters, trim, etc., beautiful accent work in the front. I am so very pleased.

I could not be more happy with the work Exceptional Exteriors did on our house! Daryl and his crew completely transformed our home with new siding, stone, garage door, roof and gutters. People keep raving about how great the house looks and how they have to double take when driving by because they don’t recognize it. The owner Daryl was down to earth, flexible and easy to work with! His price was thousands of dollars less than the big name companies that we also received estimates from. His crew was very professional, friendly, fast and they cleaned up after themselves. I strongly recommend Exceptional Exteriors for your next home project!

Exceptional Exteriors just completed installing vinyl siding, two entry doors, window and door wraps, new soffits, some facia repair and trim replacement on our house. It looks fantastic!
The existing exterior cedar shingles were completely removed and replaced with house wrap, insulation and Cape Cod Style vinyl shakes and clapboard. We are very pleased with way the house looks now.
All the work was done in a timely fashion, at the quoted price and the work crew were very hard working and efficient.
It was a pleasure working with Jessie, he is very quick to respond to any questions that arose. Jessie, Daryl and Murphy were all easy to work with. I would not hesitate to contact them for any future work I might have.

I hired Exceptional Exteriors to redo my roof. They were excellent to work with from beginning to end. Daryl and his team worked hard to get me in their schedule quickly as I had an active water leak in my roof that was damaging a bedroom ceiling. Their crew showed up on time, and worked for 10 hours straight to complete the job within a day. They cleaned up all the debris in the yard and even replaced parts of the carport trim that had broken off. They also spray painted one of my roof vents so that it looked better and didn’t charge me for the second dumpster they had to rent because there was so much debris from 4 layers on parts of my roof from previous homeowner. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roof work!

I am always leery of working with a new contractor. After getting several estimates I decided to go with Exceptional Exteriors. I couldn't have made a better decision! Jessie came out for the estimate and arranged everything. He was professional, accommodating to my requests and schedule, the gutters look amazing, everything was cleaned up and the price was fair. I highly recommend them.

Exceptional Exteriors is not just their name, but their way of doing business. The initial estimate to job completion was a wonderful experience.
The initial estimate with Jessie was great. He was not pushy or distracted. He is friendly, personable, and very patient with all my questions. He stayed involved throughout the entire process. He made sure the process went smooth and that I was happy. Every time I had a question, he was never was bothered and answered my questions immediately.
The crew that put on the siding are fabulous. They are friendly, polite and hard workers. Their attention to detail and wanting to do the job correctly was very much appreciated. The crew always arrive early and started work immediately. They cleaned up everyday.
I also had new gutters installed. Felix and his crew came. They were wonderful. They were very personable. They went around the house with me, to be sure i was happy with how they were going to install the gutters.
When I would ask a question, he always was so happy to stop what he was doing and answer my question, He truly wanted to be sure I was happy with the process and install.
The entire team at Exceptional Exteriors are committed to ensure the work is done correctly and that I was happy with the works.

I just had all the siding on my house replaced and new gutters installed by Exceptional Exteriors, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience from start to finish!

Jessie was incredible from day one. He kept me in the loop the entire time, answered every question, and made the whole project feel totally stress free. His level of communication and professionalism made a huge difference!

The work crew, led by Jose, was also awesome! They were friendly, respectful of my home, and super detail oriented. One thing that really stood out was how they added matching blocks around the light fixtures and exterior outlets: those little touches made the whole house look very polished and intentional. They clearly took pride in their work, right down to the thorough cleanup at the end.

The transformation is amazing! The workmanship is excellent, and my house honestly looks better than I expected! If you want a company that delivers excellent results and genuinely great customer service, I’d 100% recommend Exceptional Exteriors. They absolutely earned this five-star review!

Called two months ago and nobody ever called me back, tried again last week still no call back. Unprofessional!!!!!

What a poor company - installed our roof years ago - had a leak - came to the house did nothing charged us and we still have the leak - very upsetting -

For your information Merrill Street is NOT an expressway speeding at 55 miles from Dewey to Lake in your Grey truck is unprofessional and dangerous for the kids that pkay on this street just to get to your house on Merrill close to lake Ave you don't want the police to sit on Ross St to ticket you then slow it down 25 is the limit you're on cameras and will be reported if this continues.

Had a previous issue but staff came out and corrected previous concerns. Very professional. Showed respect of property as well as great customer service skills. We would call them again and recommend this company.

Disappointed! Although they have done two roofs and gutters for me in the past, they would not call me back about a soffit/gutter problem this year. Business must be good.

We had someone come out and measure a roof and waited nearly 2 weeks for a quote, called multiple times with no answer. We went with another company but we still have yet to hear from then after the assessment.
