Do you like plants? Then come here! Wonderful store with a massive selection. Fair prices for incredible plants. Pet friendly, indoor, outdoor, succulent and even trees! Along with a huge selection of unique pots and every other gardening need you can think of. Worth the trip every single time!

My husband and I purchased a star jasmine vine from The Garden Factory last year, hoping it would grow beautifully up an arch in our backyard. Unfortunately, after this past winter, the plant did very poorly. When we visited The Garden Factory today to ask about it, we were shocked to find out that star jasmine is actually native to Florida and cannot survive winters in Rochester.

We were extremely disappointed to learn that this plant needs to be brought inside during colder months — something that was never mentioned when we purchased it. There was no clear information about this on the plant’s tag, and at $80, this was a significant investment. If a plant is not hardy enough for our climate, it should either be labeled very clearly or not sold as a backyard option in a large planter intended for outdoor use.

To make matters worse, the woman we spoke with at the customer service desk was rude and dismissive, telling us bluntly, “Oh, we just got some star jasmine in, but they don’t survive Rochester winters — you can’t plant them outside.”

This experience was very frustrating. We trusted The Garden Factory for quality plants that are appropriate for our area, and unfortunately, that trust has been broken. I hope they will do a better job informing customers in the future so others don’t waste their time and money.

This place is HUGE! We are always thoroughly impressed by the wide range of plants available. Everything is beautifully set out and there are plenty of staff members around should you need any assistance.

It’s probably quicker to list what they don’t sell than what they actually sell. We could easily spend a few hours just walking around both inside and outside.

We buy all of our plants, fertiliser, flower pots, soil, grass seed, pest control and mulch from here. We have never been disappointed.

I always like going to garden factory to get my yard ready for spring but today was extra special. My favorite employee of all time was working! The handsome man that loads me up with amazing gardening goodness!!

Fast-forward I’ll bring it back and it’s more than half a yard, maybe not a full yard so he would think that she would refund half like we talked about because it’s a half yard, Nope, I got refunded a quarter of the original lol. This is how you take care of loyal customers lol, Well, I hope it was worth it because you just lost one and a big spender at that

Went here to get a green giant emerald giant asked the guy at service desk if it was okay to pull out back to pick it up. The said “guy”said yes no problem do you know where to pull up. Went outback to get tree & a young gentleman came out to help. Apparently the young kid grabbed the wrong tree & this guy comes up on fork lift & got all nasty with me saying & you’re not supposed to drive back here flying off his forklift. I said the guy upfront said no problem, although that is the exact same place I picked them up last year. I asked him why he was giving me attitude. Then proceeded to yell & tell me he was the owner & his son checked me out who doesn’t usually work there. Well after that experience we’re not coming back nor will our company that we spent thousands there last year for landscape projects. By the way it was a pleasure to meet you “owner” ! Next time be more professional & say your name…

My family's favorite nursery. Always a huge assortment of potted and bedding plants. Absolutely the best shop for Memorial Day cemetery geraniums and spikes.

Ordered a few yards of stone to be delivered. They shorted me, resulting in me having to order another half a yard and pay the exorbitant delivery fee again. When I told them I didn't want to have to pay another delivery fee that's more expensive than the actual stone because they shorted me, they basically said too bad.

Cold rainy day, all help inside and not a single staff member outside to help people find items. Many frustrated customers walking around looking for assistance. I went to customer service twice. Nobody showed up at meeting spot. Not the service we have had in the past. Guess I don’t blame staff wanting to be inside in this weather.

Prices are fair if not a touch high. The facility is nice and clean and all the products are very high quality. Its a fun place if you love plants and outdoors to go and shop for any garden or bulk material needs

Loved this place until we went there on Mother’s Day after receiving a e gift card from my children. It says to come into the store for redeem the gift card which I did. Only to be told that they were too busy with it being Mother’s Day that they could not “print” my gift card and I could not use it for my purchase. It’s extremely disheartening when that is what I was given for my Mother’s Day gift only to not be able to use it for my purchase. Extremely disappointed

The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by a lovely, kind woman. The service continued to be awesome with the girl at the register. I ordered 4 yards of crusher run #1. The loader is a sharp, well-spoken, and skilled young man. I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful selection of plants. Prices fair. But when I had a problem with one of the tomato plants I bought they didn’t show any interest in helping me.

We go to Garden Factory every year before or after Christmas to take in the amazing model train set up. The space is cold, so plan to being your warm woolies. If you go before Christmas, you'll find fun winter food vendors, rides, a few craft vendors and lots of sweet kids running around. The train and indoor music/light show stays after Christmas, and help celebrate the season.

Always happy with everything I've ever bought from The Garden Gactory! A great environment for the whole family.

First time in the Garden Factory and arguably the best retail experience of my life. David, who was in the middle of tending to some of the outdoor plants, helped me find a plant on the complete opposite side of the store. He took me directly to what I needed, and we had great conversation on the way over. David also helped me sort out an issue with an Australian Shade Tree that has been giving me some issues, and directed me to some nutrients that would help. So refreshing to deal with someone like David who truly has a passion for what they do, and also helping others.

Will 100% be back and again thank you David for your knowledge!
