Ben and his entire crew were fantastic from start to finish. We had several companies come and see the job and give us quotes. One company said they wouldn’t do the job because their equipment would not fit in our backyard. Several quotes were similar to Ben’s but didn’t have the ability to select the different options, seeding vs sod for example. One quote was grossly underpriced, I wouldn’t consider it because I knew this was a bigger job. In the end, it really came down to price, professionalism, and reading some reviews.

The job: Remove debris (a lot of it) from the back yard, tear up slab of concrete where a two-car garage once sat; tear up the asphalt driveway that extended to the back of the property; haul everything away; remove existing lawn; bring in topsoil and regrade the back yard. Then the option of having them seed the lawn or put down sod. We decided to go with the sod option even though it was more expensive. We wanted it to look uniform and complete as soon as they finished the work, having a puppy we wanted the back yard accessible as soon as possible.

They scheduled us with an estimated three days, which I thought was aggressive, but they finished in just two days, partly because of the equipment, but mainly because his crew was organized, worked hard, and worked well together. Two days before the job started, Ben provided me with detailed instructions and information about what to expect, and at that late date I asked if he could lay conduit from the house to my new shed, and he said they could absolutely lay the conduit. He told me things that I never thought of, like RG&E would need to come and mark where utilities may be burried and that they would have big trucks and his own dumpster that can part in front of our house. I was very concerned about living in the city and parking, but they made it work!

After the project was completed, Ben followed up with me to make sure that everything was going well with the watering schedule that he provided and to make sure I was happy with the completed job.

As mentioned above, this transformation was completed in just two days; here are a few pictures of the before/after, they don't do it justice, but you get the idea. I highly recommend Ben and his team!

I would highly recommend Cook Outdoor Contracting, LLC. This impressive young crew led by Ben(owner) were very professional, energetic, hard-working, and timely. I had a maple tree trimmed and a very mature maple tree that was tucked in between houses taken out. I was concerned about the fences being disrupted while the trees were being serviced, but the equipment they used was perfect, the fences were not an issue at all. They cleaned up well also!

From start to finish, our experience with Ben Cook and his crew was fantastic. Ben is extremely personable and super responsive to texts and emails. His crew arrived on time and completed two days work in only one! The entire crew was friendly and professional, listened to all concerns and invited our input. When finished, except for the missing limbs and trunks, one could barely tell they were here at all. They did an incredible job cleaning up.

Guys were easy to deal with, efficient, and respectful of the property. Would work with them again if looking for tree work. Clean up was as well as possible for being winter time, but the guys did a great job cleaning up more then expected!

I have been in the construction industry for over 47 years and these workers are above the norm. Very professional and dedicated in every move of there trade. Very well maintained equipment and good communication. I would recommend then 100 percent for a job well done!

Great experience using Cook Outdoor Contracting to remove a very large Maple tree and several pine trees. They were respectful of the property and handled the job expertly.

We received a few bids to remove our 32" black walnut tree located on a fence line between houses. After seeing COC's billboard, Ben came down to assess. I could tell he had a strong understanding of the tree removal business, along with down-to-earth pricing. His crew was very detail oriented and the work was completed by 4:00. Came back 2x for restoration and checked in each time to ensure we were good.

We had a large tree removed. I would estimate it to be 4ft at base and 50-60 ft tall. Ben was very personable and timely with his quote. Ben’s team of four arrived as scheduled (a little early but that worked out great)!! The job was completed to my satisfaction and Ben’s team cleaned up, removed all the debris and ground up all evidence of the trees parts! Ben and his team are fantastic! They cut down 5 trees in my yard and were very efficient with the process. They made sure to stay clear of my neighbors fence and worked around all obstacles. Hiring them was the first step of putting together my dream backyard. They also have very reasonable rates which is a huge plus. I would highly recommend hiring them. The team was incredible. They went through over a foot of snow, took down two leaning trees and all branches of other trees that would have damaged my shed if they fell. They cleaned everything up. Their communication and professionalism were outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend them and or use them again!

These guys did a fantastic job of taking down 6 trees at my house, including a very large maple tree next to the house. Extremely efficient and professional. They worked very hard all day, and by the end of the day they had all the wood and stumps removed and I was impressed by their cleanup as well. Maybe most impressive was Ben's ability to get everything correct, we had discussed several different options and after a month had gone by and he returned to do the work, he remembered everything we discussed and got it all right without even needing to ask any questions. I highly recommend them.

Cook Outdoor Contracting did a great job trimming some large branches off of two trees that were growing out over our roof. They were professional and cleaned up well after the work was competed. The fee charged was also very reasonable.

Ben's crew arrived exactly on time and took down 5 dead ash trees, ground the stumps and cleaned up all traces of their work. They also trimmed back some trees that were too near my gutters. They worked efficiently and were most respectful of my property. Price was also reasonable. I will definitely be calling them again for future tree work. Thanks very much for a job well done. They quoted me a price to grind down stumps and remove the 9 trees we cut down. Ryan came on time did an amazing job and ground down stumps raked over debris covered it with top soil seeded it and put straw overtop AMAZING next came Jeremy in the afternoon scooped up all of the 9 trees we had cut down raked up any debris and you would never know they were here I would give them a 6 star plus all for the quoted price I would hire them anytime

It's easy to see why Ben and his crew get five stars across the board.
Courteous, Professional, Detailed, Competitive Pricing, Timely; these are just a few of the adjectives I feel apply to Ben and each of the men on his crew.
To a person they (seven of them) were polite, protective of our yard and property while taking down three 80'pine trees very close to our home and property line, all in one day! Even two of our neighbors offered unsolicited compliments on how professional they were and what a great job they did on clean up.

I will look forward to recommending Cook Outdoor Contracting to family, friends and neighbors.
